Chapter 4 - So, good bye

That man looks so very peaceful, it doesn't seem at all that this man is a naughty, nosy, strange and annoying man. Abel's smile didn't seem to form on his face. His hand reached out to caress Kevin's hand, then gripped his wrist tightly. Oh no, Abel's touch made Kevin realize. Kevin opened his eyes and jumped as soon as he saw Abel.

"You." Kevin jumped on his bed. His voice sounded frightened.

"Hi, Vin." Abel raised his hand trying to lighten the mood. "I'm Abel." He continued, and held out his hand to Kevin. The man just looked at Abel in silence.

Kevin just felt so foreign when he saw Abel's face. Seeing Kevin not doing anything, Abel decided to pull his hand then shook Kevin's hand forcefully.

"Kevin." He said nervously. "Kevin, I'm here to do my job." Abel said. While Kevin frowned.

"Assignment? What task?" Ask Kevin. But instead he looks stupid and like a confused person.

"Help you get out of this room quickly. I know you must be very bored every day just lying in bed."

"You want to take me away from here?"

"What? hahaha!!! Of course not. Don't be stupid, I'm not a criminal. I'll help take care of you so you get well soon. Got it?"

"No need!" Reject Kevin outright. "I entrust the nurses at this hospital." He continued.

"Nurses aren't enough. You need me here, and you shouldn't argue too much."

Kevin was silent like a child who received a reprimand from his parents. His face was bent as if he was forced to obey Abel's words.

According to Abel's plan, every day the girl comes to the hospital to check on Kevin's condition and secretly helps Kevin restore his memories of himself. Starting from telling their past and the beautiful memories they had experienced, as well as all the things that Kevin had given to Abel, but none of them helped Kevin's memory come back.

Abel almost gave up if Miss Rinda didn't keep encouraging him. He said everything would go back to the way it was. Yes, Abel hopes so.

"Have you ever had someone you love?" Abel asked one day, while looking at Kevin who was feeding food into his mouth. Kevin suddenly stopped chewing. His gaze stared ahead. Kevin looked back at Abel for a long time, as if he was looking for something from inside Abel.

"I don't know." He answered after a long silence. "Ever since I came to my senses, I felt like there was something empty inside of me. I felt like there was something I was missing. But, I didn't know that." Kevin fell silent again. Then continue the sentence.

"What do you think? Do I have someone I love?" Abel looked at him for a few seconds. "You told me you were my friend. So I thought you must know something about me." Kevin continued, breaking Abel's daydream.

"Until now you still have him. In fact you love him very much. You told me that once."

"Is that true?" His face was so radiant. "So who is she? Where is she now?" Kevin asked enthusiastically. Abel smiled wryly.

"You'll also see her when you're healed. She's not going anywhere." How painful it was when Abel said this. Indeed, the person Kevin loves is right in front of his eyes.

But Kevin didn't realize that at all. Kevin felt like he had something important in his life, but he wasn't what it was. His brain is blank, there is absolutely no image that explains it. She didn't know if she should be mad at him or what.

Thirty days have passed. But there was absolutely no sign that Kevin's condition was improving. Just yesterday afternoon, Abel received news that Kevin's condition was getting worse because his father suddenly came to Kevin at the hospital. Kevin's unstable condition coupled with the trauma of his father's presence causes Kevin's condition to worsen. Even Kevin had time to throw things around him and rage.

Abel was not allowed to see Kevin either. The doctor said that Kevin was not allowed to meet with anyone, for fear that his emotions would explode again. This afternoon Kevin was allowed to go home. Miss Rinda said that Kevin is better treated at home. Today, Abel tried to come to Kevin's house even though Miss Rinda said that Kevin could have a tantrum at any time given that his condition is still unstable.

"How's Kevin, miss Rinda?" Abel sat beside Miss Rinda, while Miss Rinda was cleaning up something.

"There's still no change." Miss Rinda sighed then looked at Abel in awe. Abel put on a smile to strengthen miss Rinda.

"Can I see it?"

"But, if Kevin lashes out at you, please understand."

"Okay, calm down. I'll try to understand."

As soon as Abel opened the door to Kevin's room, a calm and comfortable atmosphere immediately greeted him. The girl saw Kevin was sitting on the edge of the bed while packing all his clothes. Abel frowned in confusion and he slowly approached.

"Kevin." Call Abel carefully. Try not to bother him too much. Kevin turned to Abel, looked at the girl then smiled. Abel was already worried, he had prepared himself in case Kevin was slim to throw him out. Luckily Kevin is in a good mood.

"Hey, where you've been? I haven't seen you in a long time." Kevin answered cheerfully. Seeing her like this no one would have thought that she was sick. Abel doesn't know what causes Kevin to be this happy, even though Miss Rinda reported that Kevin's condition has not improved and his emotions are still unstable.

"I was... busy yesterday because of college assignments. How are you?" Abel walked closer to Kevin and sat beside him.

"I'm fine." Kevin answered, but it was as if he had something to hide. Kevin was busy packing his clothes again. Abel kept watching Kevin while wondering in his heart.

"Are you going somewhere?"

"Yes."

What did he say? Want to go? where to?

"Where to?" Abel slightly shifted his body closer to Kevin. The man looked at Abel with a smile.

"My mother asked me to move to Malaysia. She said that I would undergo treatment there. I was happy when you said that she would move from Jakarta. At least I would live a quieter life there."

Kevin said with a smile that continued to expand on his lips, while Abel could only remain silent and endure the pain that suddenly pierced his heart. His face suddenly heated up. How could Kevin leave him alone here. Kevin can't go. Kevin doesn't remember it at all.

"But why do you have to go to Malaysia? Isn't there still a good hospital in Indonesia?"

"The doctor himself gave a referral to a hospital in Malaysia. I want to get well soon..." Kevin narrowed his eyes as if he was remembering something. "What's your name?" Kevin tilted his head.

"Abel. Arabella." Abel answered slowly. Kevin has often forgotten his name lately. Ah no, Kevin always forgets Abel's name.

"Ah yes. I want to get well soon, Bel." Says Kevin. When the man said his short name, Abel's heart immediately touched remembering their former togetherness. "I want to remember everything immediately. I want to meet the person you told me about at that time. I know she must be waiting for me. If I go to Malaysia for treatment, I will get well soon and meet her. Aahh, I really can't wait for that ."

Abel's heart sank again when he heard Kevin's words. Someone Kevin wanted to meet was right in front of his eyes. Abel wanted to spit out those words, but he couldn't because he was afraid of making Kevin's emotions out of control.
