Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 - Into The Forest of Misery (3)

"This is insane," Alex said. "How can I kill them that easily?"

"See? I told you," Abigail said in Alex's mind. "You just need to enjoy it for now, but you won't be able to continue enjoying it because the level of the monsters you fight will increase eventually.

"All right, but how far do I still have to go?" Alex asked Abigail. "I feel that I have gone far enough, just how wide is this forest?"

"You are still in the third circle, while I am already right between the second circle and the first circle," Abigail said.

"Why don't you go to the first circle? Is that circle dangerous?" Alex asked.

"Yes, that circle is where the boss field is," Abigail said. "You took too long so I thought it would be better if I just waited for you here first."

Alex sighed and without saying anything, he continued his journey towards the second circle where Abigail was.

After walking quite a distance while facing various kinds of monsters on his way, Alex finally arrived at the second circle where Abigail was. He looked around for Abigail, but he couldn't find her anywhere as far as his eyes could see.

"Hey, where are you?" Alex asked.

As soon as Alex asked that, suddenly someone tapped him on the shoulder and it startled him. Alex looked behind him and saw that the person who was tapping him on the shoulder was Abigail.

Alex breathed a sigh of relief and then he asked, "Why did you startle me?"

"I did it to make you realize that even though you have a high level, your battle experience is very lacking," Abigail said. "I hope you don't rely too much on your high level and seek battle experience on your own."

"Fine, but how can I find the battle experience?" Alex asked.

Abigail looked at the green magic circuit in front of them and then pointed at it. Alex looked at the green magic circuit and he could see that there was something with gigantic size behind it.

"What's that?" Alex asked. "It looks gigantic and somehow I feel that it is a living thing."

"It's a frog dragon," Abigail replied. "It's a level one hundred and ninety field boss with the darkness element."

"Oh, you want me to fight that?" Alex asked.

"Yes-"

Before Abigail could finish her words, suddenly the frog dragon in the first circle roared loudly which makes all the monsters in the second circle flee.

"HUMAN?! I SMELL HUMANS!" the frog dragon said loudly. "WHERE ARE YOU, HUMANS?! COME TO ME FOR TODAY'S MEAL!"

Alex and Abigail just looked at each other without saying anything because they were sure the frog dragon would immediately notice their presence as soon as they spoke.

"Hey, now what should we do?" Alex asked Abigail in his mind.

"We? No, you're the one who will fight him," Abigail said in Alex's mind.

As soon as Abigail said that, he picked up a small rock that was next to her and threw it at the frog dragon.

"HUH?! WHO IS THAT?!" the frog dragon shouted loudly.

The frog dragon turned towards Abigail and Alex, but he could only see Alex because Abigail had hidden herself using magic circuit camouflage.

"Good luck," Abigail said as she ran away.

"Huh?!-"

Alex didn't have time to be surprised because Abigail ran away since the frog dragon jumped at them right away. Alex didn't have time to run away, but he noticed that he can use the same magic circuit manipulation skill as Abigail.

Therefore, Alex tried to create a barrier that could protect him from the frog dragon. He tried to imagine the red magic circuit that blocked his path before, and sure enough, the magic circuits in the air responded to him.

The magic circuits in the air merged with each other in a way that makes their molecular density become denser than solid objects. Those magic circuits covered Alex and make him able to withstand the weight of the frog dragon that is above him.

However, those magic circuits couldn't last long. Gradually they began to crack and separate from each other. Alex looked around and tried to figure out the way he can escape from the frog dragon.

"What should I do?" Alex asked himself.

"Of course escape, what else?" Abigail's voice echoed in Alex's mind. "You need to remember, if you die, then you will lose most of your level."

"Then help me! How can I possibly escape from this situation?!" Alex shouted inside his mind.

Abigail sighed and then she said, "Use magic circuit manipulation to strengthen your legs, and then just kick the frog dragon as hard as you can."

Hearing what Abigail said, Alex hesitated to do as she said because he felt that what Abigail said was impossible for him to do.

"If you hesitate, then we will both lose a large number of levels," Abigail said.

Reassured by Abigail, Alex took a deep breath and started to convince himself.

"Okay, I'll do it," Alex said.

Alex imagined having two magic circuits covering his feet, and as he imagined, two magic circuits appeared at his feet.

Alex tried to imagine what effect he should have on the two magic circuits, and he came to the conclusion that he only needed knockback and ballast effects on them. As Alex imagined, those effects were applied at the magic circuits that covered his feet.

Alex bent his legs until his knees touched his chest, and then he threw a full kick at the frog dragon without hesitation.

[You dealt 57,788 critical damage]

The frog dragon that was hit by Alex's kick immediately flew a little into the air which was a golden opportunity for Alex to escape. Alex immediately stood up and then ran towards Abigail who had only been watching him from behind a tree.

"Damn it, that was a close! What do you think you're doing?!" Alex shouted at Abigail.

"I'm just making you try to use your brain," Abigail said. "You seem too stupid that I have thought that I should give you a lesson."
