A rustling of clothes woke her up and, turning towards the sound, Iris saw her husband putting a light green linen vest over the white thing skirt he already had on. A glowing metal, reflecting the morning sun coming through the curtains hit her eyes as she understood it came from the pocket watch she gave him the night before.
A smile coloured her face while she sat on the edge of the bed close to where he was dressing up. Upon seeing her, Benjamin put the watch inside an inner pocket before coming over to her to lay a kiss on the top of her head.
"Did you sleep well?" he inquired.
Stretching like a cat before throwing her hand around his waist, she embraced him as if to never let him go again. "Like a baby."
Patting her hair, he leaned over to kiss her lips. "I hope you're not sore. Is your body alright?"
Thinking at their deeds the night before, her face flushed. "My body's fine."
