Chapter 1 - 1

Shock was written all over Evelyn's face. Shock about what they have heard. Also there was excitement in her eyes. A hope for something.

Evelyn knew something like this was possible, since the proof was in front of her she didn't know whether to believe it or not. But she knew this was the truth.

"Is it real?" she heard herself asking in a tone of excitement, eagerness.

"It is and you're on that mission" the man who looked like he was in his late thirties or early forties said. He heard her breath out loud in relief hearing it was true.

"Mi..ssion" she heard herself stuttering.

The man named James stood up from his chair and went to the presentation wall.

James was the head of department of the branch Evelyn works

He took the projector remote and started switching the pages. Once the page he was looking for came he stopped it and turned to face her.

"This is the aerial view of the place. Even Though the picture is not clear you can understand a lot of things from this. The city looks just like ours but there are also a lot of differences. Vast differences. We will give you class on such things on upcoming training sessions" he said as she heard with utmost concentration

'What was the mission' she thought

"The mission for you is to go there and study about their culture and how their lifestyle is" he said reading her face

All she could do was process everything that he had said.

"I will give you space and time for you to digest everything" the man said leaving her behind

There was not even a room for arguments or options. He just left after just basic information. There was a lot she wanted to ask. A lot

She sat there processing everything. This information was something she had waited for a long time. A truth that once she believed with it being a truth.

Now she was going on a mission there.

She was excited about it but at the end of her heart there was a small bit of fear. Fear of the unknown. But one thing the excitement was more than fear.

As her mind was filled with thoughts she didn't realise time had flown, she screamed and shouted as she stood from the chair to attack or flew as she felt something grab her.
