When?
That's the question that's currently in your head right? To be more precise... Since when did Heejin love and harbor feelings for Yeonsuk?
Because every love will never just appear without a cause or reason that finally makes the feeling of love appear in your heart.
And for Heejin that feeling had appeared in her heart since the first time Yeonsuk helped her from being bullied by their schoolmates at that time.
That was the moment when Heejin felt that feeling of love in her heart for the first time.
FLASHBACK ON
In front of the school gate, there was a woman in her school uniform and her backpack. The woman occasionally looked inside the gate with an expression on her face that was hard to describe.
"Don't you want to go inside?"
The woman jumped in surprise at the sound of a woman's voice coming from behind her. The woman owner of the voice then read the nameplate pasted on the women's uniform beside those gates.
"K-Kim... Heejin..." said the woman spelling those names.
That was right, the woman standing beside the gate was Heejin Kim. Heejin scratched the back of her neck. "A-ahh... yes, I'll go inside," said Heejin stuttering.
"Hurry up, the bell will ring soon. Do you want to come inside with me?" said the woman.
Heejin who heard the words of the woman who was wearing the same uniform as her immediately made her smile happily.
"I can go inside with you?" said Heejin.
The woman nodded her head. "Of course, why not? Come on... let's go in," said the woman kindly.
Heejin happily followed the woman, she walked beside her into the school. "Hmm... may I know your name?" asked Heejin.
Well, she didn't know the name of the woman currently walking with her and very kindly offered to let them enter the school together.
"Park Kyujin, just call me Kyujin," replied the woman.
Heejin smiled. "Nice to meet you Kyujin, call me Heejin," replied Heejin.
Kyujin watched Heejin's appearance from top to bottom as if she was judging Heejin's current appearance.
Heejin who was looked at by Kyujin felt awkward and a little uncomfortable. "T-there is something wrong?"
Kyujin stopped her steps and so did Heejin. "Are you the Kim Heejin they always talk about?" asked Kyujin.
Heejin furrowed her brows. "What do you mean?" confused Heejin. She didn't understand what Kyujin meant that she had just met a few minutes ago.
"Kim Heejin... that bad girl they said," said Kyujin.
Heejin was silent for a moment. "That's right," Heejin said with a small nod.
"I knew it!" said Kyujin with a smile on her face.
Kyujin asked that after seeing Heejin's appearance which was slightly different from most of the other woman students in this school. Especially, Heejin's uniform skirt is shorter than it should be and the colorful shoes are quite striking.
Heejin lowered her head. She suddenly became nervous. "I-if you don't want to walk with me, that's fine..." said Heejin.
Lie.
In her heart right now, she felt sad because no one in this school wanted to be friends with her. It's all because of her nickname 'bad girl' and things that aren't true about her are spreading in this school.
But what can she do? Her character and appearance are already like this. Then why can't people at her school accept that difference?
Why is it so hard for people to accept things that are different from them? They always judge everything based on appearance.
Kyujin looked at Heejin. "I'm not saying that I didn't want to walk with you," said Kyujin.
Heejin immediately lifted her head. "W-what?"
Kyujin was silent for a moment. "I don't hate you like the others, to me you are just like any other student," Kyujin said to Heejin.
Like what Kyujin said, she never thought that Heejin was different from her. Especially considering Heejin as her friends said.
Because what she saw right from Heejin was a kind and friendly woman, not like the others students at her school always said all this time.
Heejin was silent because she heard Kyujin's words to her. She was surprised by Kyujin's words. She had never heard anyone say that to her since she had attended this school for the past eight months.
"R-really?" Heejin said in disbelief.
Kyuhyun nodded. "Of course, why should I lie to you?"
Slowly a smile appeared on Heejin's beautiful face. "Thank you..." Heejin looked hesitant. "Then can I be friends with you?"
Finally... finally for the first time, she dared to say those words to someone who was in the same school as her. During this time Heejin had never said that sentence to anyone because she was afraid.
"Sure, why not?" Kyujin answered without hesitation.
Heejin smiled widely. "Really?! Thank you Kyujin!" Heejin was so happy that she couldn't express how happy she was for having friends for the first time.
Kyujin smiled. "Come on, your class is downstairs right? I'll take you there. My class is upstairs," said Kyujin.
Heejin nodded in response. Then the two of them walked together towards Heejin's class while talking to each other.
...
There was a loud noise from inside the class. The students in the class were seen laughing at each other. Like the school atmosphere in general that you always see.
They annoy each other with their jokes. Everyone seemed so familiar, except for one silent student. And those student is Heejin, she sat in the very back seat in the corner of the class, she didn't join with her classmates.
Heejin just sat at her desk looking out of the classroom through the window. Don't worry, her daily life was always like this when she was at school.
She was always alone.
Feeling alienated by her classmates.
Pathetic? That's her school life that she always goes through every day.
Heejin put her books into her bag, as well as her pen. He then got up from his chair and walked past his classmates, bowing his head.
"Tch, poor girl..."
Not long after, there was loud laughter from her classmates. Heejin tightened her grip on the strap of her bag, trying not to heed the insults of her classmates.
Heejin hastened her steps to get out of her class and unfortunately, when she was outside her class she had to walk through the school corridor that looked so crowded.
Heejin was silent for a moment in front of her classroom door, she took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly.
You have no idea how it felt when she walked down that corridor and was laughed at by the other students who treated her like a clown.
After mustering up her courage, Heejin stepped up and started walking through the corridor. As usual, Heejin lowered her head trying not to look at the students in the corridor. Lowered her head has become a habit since entering this school.
Heejin kept walking, but she realized something. It was not unusual for the school corridor to be so crowded at this time after school. Because usually they will go straight home or hold extracurricular activities so the school corridor will be quiet, but this time it was different.
Heejin tried to distract herself by thinking that today she has one friend.
Do you remember what happened this morning? No, maybe more like a miracle that happened a few hours ago. When she met and befriended Kyujin.
When Kyujin came to her and Kyujin said she wanted to be friends with her. It was a miracle for Heejin that made her feel so happy. Just thinking about it made Heejin smile, forgetting the student's presence in her school corridor.
Until suddenly...
BROK!
