Chapter 4 - Chapter Four: The Cap Explodes off the Emotional Soda

Genovi:

Imagine watching your meek mate go from cowering to busting noses in front of you, her hand was clearly broken. Judging by the squeakiness of his groans of pain, her foot met the jackpot. Cursing to myself, she just created a rather large problem. Taking her hand in mine, the bones were clearly shattered to pieces. Snatching her hand away, she hid it behind her back.

"This will heal by itself." She snapped icily, flipping me off with her good hand. "Just bring me home and leave me alone." Turning her back to me, my wolf whimpered in my head. Damn! She was being so cold, hurt flashing in her eyes. Crossing her arms across her chest, a cute pout sat on her lips. The bruise grew darker on her hand, a sigh tumbling from her lips.

"I just want you to be okay!" I yelled heatedly, growling to myself. "I understand that you have suffered, but you must know that you can talk to me!" Fury burned in her eyes, her hand wrapping around the handle inside of my car. Hopping out, her lip quivered. Following after her, she spun on her heel.

"You would never understand!" She screamed hotly, tears crashing to the dirt beneath her boots. "You will never know how it feels to be beaten day and night, or to be made a fool in front of everyone. My whole clan hit me and treated me like shit every day. So forgive me if this whole family thing is new to me. My whole life has been one giant shit show where everyone just keeps kicking me down. I know I just screwed up, but he was choking me. Something snapped in me, and I wanted to kill him right there. It felt so great to finally act out my fantasy just once, so screw you! What difference will it make with your clan? My father is the legendary white wolf who died by my current father's hand. I watched him murder him, and I couldn't tell anybody. I had to bury his body at the age of ten. He loved me so much, and visited me in secret when they kicked him out of his position. The moment he died, my hope died as well." Her whole body trembled, her arms falling to her side as I clutched her close to my chest. Tears flooded from her eyes, soaking my shirt. No wonder her heart was so icy and blocked off. Turning back, Declan sauntered toward us.

"How dare you torture her so bad!" I demanded venomously, an evil grin curling on his lips. "How dare you break someone to this point. Why did you kill her dad?" Stopping inches from my face, chills ran up my spine. His aura was borderline demonic, a darkness reserved for the deepest section of Hell.

"I am the Alpha, but he was. She is a legitimate child. It was me who had the affair with her mother, and I was the Beta under him. Slowly, I took control over the clan until one day he confronted me. We fought and I murdered him in cold blood. She buried him because he was a huge nuisance to me. What are you going to do about it!" A snarl curled on my lips, growls rumbling in my throat.

"Get away before I k-" I began, her hand breaking through his chest. Ripping out his heart, she shoved herself off of me. Crushing his heart, he dropped to the ground. Tossing the organ aside, terror widened my eyes. Fresh blood dripped down her arm, her face numb as hell. Sprinting away from me, bones cracked and shifted as she turned into a white wolf with golden stripes. My breath hitched at the beauty, her large paws pounding towards the open tree line. One of her paws looked broken, bones sticking out of the top. Her shredded dress fluttered to the ground, my boots smashing after her. Checking the lunar calendar, it was a new moon. Only those with the power of the white wolf could transform on the new moon, skidding to a stop. I was never going to catch up to her, a recorder catching my eyes. Smiling to myself, she had recorded the whole conversation. Scooping it up, the hot summer air lashed my skin, my boots pounding into the forest. Her lilac scent sent my wolf into internal chaos, telling me to follow her. Following her scent, the white wolf laying down stunned me. Golden eyes met mine, her fur dancing in the breeze. A rough headstone sat in front of her, the name Alucard Luna was roughly carved into the ordinary rock. Teardrops crashed to the grass, her head against the ground. Approaching her cautiously, the wet grass soaked my jeans as I sat down behind her. Her large head rested on my lap, her soft fur brushing against my skin. A single golden lily grew from the center of the grassy mound, the golden pollen drifting around aimlessly. Resting in place, we sat like that for hours. Playing with her fur, disbelief stained my mind as she let me pet her. Tears crashed like raindrops in the middle of a violent thunderstorm, her wolf form fading as the new moon came out of hiding. Looking up, her face was puffy with sadness. A soft blush rose to my cheeks, trying not to look at her beautiful body. Tossing her my t-shirt, she pulled it over head.

"I love you, Celeste Luna." I blurted out sweetly, my whole body shaking like a leaf. "I love you with all of my heart, and I don't care what you think of yo-" Her lips pressed against mine passionately, time melting away. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach, her arms wrapping around my neck. Scarlet burned our cheeks as we pulled apart. Her kiss was magic, my inner wolf howling away.

"I know." She sighed calmly, sitting in my lap. "I am sorry for not being open with you. I will mark you when I am ready. I am sorry about losing my temper with you. I am going through so much right now. Now I have to claim my clan." Standing to her feet, she offered me her hand. Her white hair danced in the breeze, her real smile melting my heart. Accepting her hand, she pulled me through the woods to my car. A black bag sat on the hood, a fresh set of clothes caught my eye. Turning around, I wanted to peek so freaking bad. Tapping my shoulder, a small gasp escaped my lips. Black leather hugged her hourglass figure, the sweetheart neckline emphasizing her cleavage. Sliding on another pair of black boots, she adjusted her bangs. Hopping into the car, the seat belt clicked. Sitting in the passenger side, childlike wonder brightened my eyes as she just stared ahead while she drove in the opposite direction of my village. Shooting me a couple of nervous glances, her quaking fingers turned on the radio. Awkward silence ate at the air, the leather of the steering wheel as she gripped it tighter. A couple of hours passed like this, her face falling at the sight of her village's wooden gate. Shaking off her nerves, she banged on the door.

"What is your name!" A gruff male voice called out, a snarl curling on his lips. "You are the one who killed our Alpha." Crossing her arms, she cocked her head. Sighing deeply, her brows furrowed.

"I am the true Alpha or something like that, considering my blood line." She announced proudly, her fingers drumming on her arm. "You all were deceived for years by your lovely Declan. So be mad at him, not me. Isn't that correct, mother?" The door creaked open, her boots crossing the threshold. An older version of her stood inches from her, her gray hair was pulled back into a severe bun. Green eyes glittered excitedly at the challenge, a severe black cocktail dress clung to her hourglass figure. Her small pointed nose was up in the air, the crack of her hand slapping Celly across the face made everyone come out. Growls rumbled in her throat, Celly standing stone still.

"That is a lie, you are a waste of breath." She retorted coldly, a heartless sneer darkening her face. "Are you going to believe my illegitimate child, or your Luna?" Tossing her the recorder, Celly plugged it into the community's speaker system. Hovering the button over the play button, the first bit of panic darted in her mother's eyes.

"Let them hear this and then decide." Celly offered irritably, pressing the play button. Declan's voice rang out in the still night, her clan stepping out of their houses. The recording stopped, everyone turning towards her mother then to her. Melanie bolted towards her, Celly holding her back with her good palm. Wincing in pain, she ignored the broken hand for now. A flurry of blonde hair spun violently, her fists nowhere near my Celly. One by one the werewolves bowed down to Celeste, her mother in a huff. Attempting to run, two tall men blocked her way.

"I will get you for this." She spat bitterly, kicking and screaming. "I promise to kill you and everyone around you." The two tall brunette men holding her tossed her outside of the gate, Celly laughing nervously. A white haired man with golden eyes stepped forward, his six foot seven inch frame towered over her.

"Hello, I am Avalanche, a cousin of yours." He introduced himself warmly, bowing in her direction. "I am at your service." Running his hand through his long wavy white hair, his golden eyes twinkling happily. Jealousy flashed in my eyes as his black t-shirt fluttered in the breeze, his hands sitting in the pocket of his light jeans.

"How about you become the Alpha then?" She queried sincerely, confusion flashing in the clan's eyes. "I think you would be a strong leader, and I will support you as long as you behave. I am going to be a Luna somewhere else. It probably would have been you anyway, so have fun. Treat him with respect, and I will visit every now and then." Turning to leave, Avalanche grabbed her arm. Fear widened his eyes, a nervous smile dimming his face.

"I don't know if I can do it." He stuttered anxiously, chewing on his lip. "My uncle asked me once and I said no." Embracing him tightly, his muscles relaxed. Patting the top of his head, she pointed to the mark on his wrist. A single wolf howling at the moon caught my eye, a real smile brightening the moment.

"Don't you see you have been picked?" She comforted him gently, showing him her wrist. "See, there is nothing. My father always wanted me to have freedom from the chaos of my life. This was my ticket out. Judging by your aura, you are kind, strong, and intelligent. Those are the most important traits of an Alpha. This is all yours. Take your crown and undo the darkness." Nodding, tears streamed down his cheeks as the various clan members howled for him.

"Thank you." He wept softly, taking her hands. "You are welcome anytime. Can you stop by this weekend for my ceremony?" Smiling warmly, she took his phone from his pocket. Dialing my number, the phone beeped as my number was saved. Brushing past him, she walked into the main log cabin up to her room. Getting down on her hands and knees, wood snapped as she ripped up a board. Tears welled up in her eyes, a black book sitting in her palms. A single golden gem glittered in the light, the dusty black leather creaking as she held it close to her chest. Tears flooded from her eyes, my hand grabbing her shoulder. Instead of smacking it away, she let me hold it. Progress, this was progress.
