"I can't believe them!"
"So what do you want to do Harris? We must return immediately and inform His Majesty."
The Vampires group was still hiding at the borders of the Seth Valley. They should have passed through Judas Forest and back to the Abel Valley.
"You can go first. I'll be keeping watch around Seth Valley. I'm sure those dogs have done something rotten. They must know where Her Majesty is."
"But Renésmee also disappeared, I think they're—"
"What are they?" Harris pulled his partner's neck in his grip. The poor man didn't even try to break free or fight back in the slightest. "They are just useless stupid dogs. How could they just lose Renésmee! They shouldn't have asked Renesmee from us in the first place. Nessy will be safe if she is in the Abel Valley"
The Vampires shared a glance. After losing the Queen, how could they say that the Abel Valley was a better place. No one can guarantee it from now.
"Just tell Lucas I'll stay in Seth Valley to help find Renesmee."
Well if that's the reason, Lucas—the Vampire King might be able to figure it out instead of forcing Harris' thoughts on werewolves. With that the Vampires group rushed back to the Abel Valley while Harris had to find shelter around the borders of the Seth Valley.
Before that Harris wanted to go hunting. His throat felt dry, it felt like he was choking. His thirst began to feel as they passed Gregory Castle from a distance.
Was it because of his desire to kill the werewolves?
Or because he had fasted for a week for all this quest?
Harris felt his nose had smelt delicious blood around here.
[ Ah… where did that smell come from? ]
[ Show yourself and let me drink your blood! ]
…
Noah has just arrived at Gregory Castle. Even though he had tried hard to catch up, he still fell behind. He wondered: What made Vincent want to hurry home?
As Noah enters he sees Gale. "Wow… you're back!"
Noah thought maybe this was the reason Vincent wanted to go home soon. Gale must have brought good news or maybe he'd managed to find Renésmee. He wants to ask but Gale seems to be in a hurry to pass.
"Oh, you're going to Vincent's place?"
"Yeah, I'm going to catch him. How is he doing?" Remembering that Gale had just come out of the corridor where Vincent's room was. Noah thought that Gale had just met Vincent.
"Vincent is not in his room. I'm looking for him too."
Noah naturally follows Gale in search of Vincent. He seemed to know where to look for the black wolf.
Gale leads the way, he says, "Watson said he was in Renésmee's room."
Oh? No surprise to Noah.
"Have you guys found Renésmee yet?"
"Not yet."
"What about the Southern Queen?"
"We couldn't make an audience with Her Majesty, but they will send the reinforcement later."
Gale's conclusion makes Noah's face contort. He took pity on Vincent and at the same time a strange thought came to her mind…
[ Hmm… Then why is Vincent in Renésmee's room? ]
[ The room has a new occupant now. It's Alice's now. ]
[ Did Vincent intend to punish Alice or something? ]
Noah quickened his pace, almost ran and preceded Gale to Alice's room. He forgot his manners and barged in.
Vincent was indeed in the room. He was even sitting on the edge of the bed.
[ What was that… Vincent had just let go of Alice's lying hand? ]
His behavior seemed suspicious to Noah. Remembering the series of confrontations that Vincent did, Noah had a bad thought. Vincent wasn't trying to hurt Alice was he?
Vincent immediately stood up as Noah entered Alice's room. His face turned cold and dark. He almost caught red handed. Noah saw him holding Alice's hand passionately.
"Next time use your manners. This is the women's room, not the men's."
"Sorry… but, what are you doing here?" Noah glanced at Alice who was lying down, after taking a closer look he realized the cloth wrapped around Alice's neck. "What's with her?"
Noah stepped closer to check on Alice's condition. That woman is hurt. Again?
"Did you do it?" Noah is ready to step up to challenge Vincent in a one-on-one fight, but Gale comes to stop him.
"It's Rosita! We thought she was the enemy." Gale, who was efficient with his words, interrupted the two of them. This time it wasn't Vincent who hurt Alice, it was just a misunderstanding because Rosita was still thinking badly of Alice.
"Ah, poor Alice." Noah turned to Alice, staring with pity.
[ Aish… this brat! ]
Vincent almost roared when he saw Noah sit his ass on the side of the bed and touch Alice's hand.
Please whoever it is...
How to get Noah's hand away from Alice!?
"Jacob is talking to Rosita," says Gale. He also looked at Alice in her sleep. Gale barely knows if this blonde woman was placed in Renésmee's room.
What a surprise? Huh.
Gale turns to Vincent to make his point. "I'm here for my report."
Oh? Vincent did ask Watson to find Gale for a report. He asked Gale to come before dinner and there's still plenty of time until dusk. Vincent forgot, apart from being efficient with his words, Gale was also quite agile and never put off his work.
Luckily it was Noah who first entered Alice's room. If it was Gale then Vincent would be in a trial now.
"Let's talk in my room… and you, Noah! Leave Alice, let her rest peacefully. The wound wasn't severe enough, it was Watson who gave her some potion so she fell asleep. She'll wake up at dinner."
Noah glared at Vincent, but he complied and came out of Alice's room.
Gale and Vincent share their search report. It's been a month and both of them came back empty handed.
Gale doesn't understand how a werewolf's instinct in their partner works. All he knew was that Vincent should be able to find Alice faster than anyone. Still even though Vincent had intervened directly the result was in vain and for another surprise Jacob didn't even move to join in the search for Renésmee.
Then another thing Gale wants to ask. A simple question that many people thought but only Gale dared to open his mouth.
"Why did you allow Alice to fill Renésmee's room?"
"Because she's special."
Ah, the answer just slipped out of Vincent's mouth without a second thought. It was a pure answer from his heart. Alice miraculously took Renésmee's place into a special existence for Vincent.
Gale says, "I see." Uh?
Others might be quick to misunderstand, but Gale's brain processes information in a different way and he's seen some interesting facts about Alice. So it's understandable when Gale has his own take on Alice.
"Alice is special. The smell of the pheromones is unique and the blood, so pungent… Rosita can barely even contain herself."
"Rosita can't help herself?" It was a new addition to Vincent's ears. He had heard of Rosita attacking Alice, and didn't know what had happened.
Vampires love blood, even more human blood. They drink each other's blood to carry on their offspring. To get out of control with even a drop of blood meant that Alice's blood was different from normal human blood.
Gale adds, "It seems Alice has divine blood and we need to keep her away from the Vampires."
Vincent gasped to hear it. Divine blood he said… then Alice would always be in danger.
