He doesn't want to live because his mate is dead and his pack is gone. But he must be brave for his daughter, for her future.

He knows his time was up. He was not afraid of death but the future of his 7-year-old daughter. If he was not there for her too, who will protect her in the future? Who will take care of her? Will she be okay? What if she will be alone with no one else? His mind was full of various questions.
But he knew his daughter was strong. She will take care of herself. With a shaky breath, he gestured for his daughter to come and sit beside him.
The little girl looked at her father now with red eyes from earlier crying and the overexertion for a seven-year-old. She knew her papa doesn't have much time left because she felt this empty feeling when her mama left her and went to the moon goddess as her papa said.
