Chapter 24 - The Foul-Mouthed Simon

Ambrose and Brett stood there wordlessly as the freshman spat out a plethora of curses. A few minutes later, and Simon had to catch his breath. After taking a deep breath in, he attempted to run his mouth again but he was stopped after Brett stuffed a towel in his mouth.

"Brett, that was clutch man." Ambrose praised Brett for 'thinking fast'.

Brett massaged his temples as he now had a light headache now just from listening to Simon; "If I didn't do it, you would have eventually."

"What are we going to do with him?" Brett said, he couldn't see how they would deal with this kid and his mouth. Simon's eyes were fierce as he glared at Ambrose and Brett like he wanted to eat them alive.

"..."

"Brett, throw him in the pool." Ambrose instructed.

"You got it." Brett grabbed Simon by the collar and dragged him out of the room.

THUMP!

THUMP!

A dull sound rang out as Brett dragged Simon down the stairs. It was a comical sight as Simon was wriggling like a worm trying to find his way out of his restrictions. The wolf pup heard the commotion and followed Brett outside with a happy expression on it's face.

Brett let go of Simon right in front of the pool and removed the towel from Simon's mouth.

"Unchain me you motherfucker, you piece of-"

SPLASH!

Simon was thrown into the ice cold pool before he could complete his sentence. He tried to break free from his restraints but to no avail.

'Am I going to die here?' He looked up at the morning sun that was reflecting off of the water. Suddenly, a hand penetrated the surface of the water and grabbed one of the chain restraining him and pulled him up.

"HUAHH!" Simon gasped for air as he laid on the patio, soaked from head to toe.

He opened his blurry eyes and saw the other 'kidnapper' standing over him. The 'kidnapper had an amused look on his face as he said; "Are you ready to listen now?"

Simon nodded meekly as he was now terrified of these two strangers. Ambrose then undid the chains that were restraining him.

"Do you remember what happened last night?" Ambrose asked.

Simon tried to think; "Last night? The last thing I remember was going to look for a bathroom and... then it all goes blank."

"Simon... last night you fell down the stairs and injured your brain." Ambrose sighed.

"I injured what?! You've got to be messing with me! If I had a brain injury there's no way I would be able to function normally, and I feel perfectly fine!" Simon rebuked, Ambrose's words sounded completely absurd in Simon's ears.

"Simon, I know you don't believe me... but I had no choice but to do something to you to heal you." Ambrose said with a serious expression on his face.

"W-What did you do to me?!" Simon had a bad feeling after seeing the serious look on Ambrose's face.

"Brett, show him what you can do."

"You got it." Brett responded and picked up the basically empty keg that was left outside and proceeded to crush it without any effort.

SCREECH!

The sound of metal bending pierced Simon's ears and made him wince. When he looked up, he saw the once sturdy keg being handled like paper right in front of his eyes.

"Holy shit!" Simon's eyes almost bulged out of their sockets.

"There's nothing holy about this, Simon." Ambrose joked.

"Y-You said that you did something to me... what does that mean?" Simon asked carefully.

"It means you're not human anymore, Simon." Ambrose finally let out the truth. There was no use in stalling any longer. Simon would have either found out the easy way or the hard way.

"Show him Brett." Ambrose instructed.

Brett transformed his arms right in front of Simon. He would have used his full transformation to scare the shit out of Simon, but it was not dark out which made it impossible.

"W-W-WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU PEOPLE?!" Simon screeched as he scurried backwards, almost falling into the pool.

"We are Werewolves, and you are one of us now." Ambrose said as his eyes flashed and his canines slightly elongated.

"W-Werewolves..." Simon muttered to himself as he looked down.

Ambrose knew that Simon's thoughts were extremely chaotic at the moment. After all, he had just been told that Werewolves exist and that he was now one of them. Every little detail of his situation would be enough to completely uproot someone's life, and Simon had to take it all on at once.

Suddenly, something unexpected happens. Simon looked up with what might have been stars in his eyes and a bright smile on his face. He walked up to Brett fearlessly and started poking at Brett's claws and fur.

"Do you think I won't claw you?!" Brett was stunned for a minute but then recovered. He raised his voice sharply as he growled at Simon.

"No, you won't. It's clear that he is the leader and you can't hurt me until he says so." Simon calmly explained as he pointed at Ambrose.

Brett was at a loss for words as what Simon said was true.

"Simon, can I ask why you suddenly had such a big mood swing?" Ambrose gently probed, seemingly baffled by Simon's actions.

"Well... where do I start? Let's just say that the pros of being a Werewolf far outweigh the cons. For example, I was 5'4, and wasn't going to grow anymore, but now I'm 5'8." Simon gave out a simple, but valid reason.

"Hmm... I guess that's a good reason if you're that caught up with your appearance. Why are you fixated on your height specifically?" Ambrose asked.

Simon explained to them that he was not originally from Green Ridge. He and his family moved here from California. His father designed security systems for a high end company and his mother was a housewife. Because his stature was small and underdeveloped for his age, he didn't have many friends and was sometimes picked on. He usually spent his free time with his father. His father was not just a genius at designing security systems, he was great with a lot of things that had to do with computers. Simon, was also very talented and quickly picked up some skills. He eventually became so skilled that even his father was amazed. But, it didn't matter how talented he was with a computer. Children can be cruel, Simon was still picked on and isolated. That is why Simon was so fixated on his appearance. He had tried going to the gym and doing various workouts, but it seemed like his genetics weren't meant for building muscle. Now, he guessed that his genetic structure had completely changed.

"Well... I think you better look in a mirror because it wasn't just your height that had changed." Ambrose said with a smirk.
