Chapter 27 - Astar's Confession

Ambrose led Astar to the private study upstairs. When Ambrose first took a tour of the mansion, he never thought that he would actually use this room, but now he found himself in it.

There were two chairs, the main chair behind the desk and one in front. Ambrose naturally took the main chair as it was his mansion, after all. When Astar saw Ambrose take the main chair, he snorted and rolled his eyes like a child but didn't complain, he also sat down.

"Astar, I want the truth about your pack and about the moonstone." Ambrose said with a deadly serious voice.

Astar's lazy eyes shot wide open when he heard Ambrose mention the moonstone. His brain raced at the speed of light trying to figure out how Ambrose knew about the moonstone but he couldn't come up with an answer, "Ambrose, how do you know about that item?"

Ambrose calmly explained that he saw glimpses of his earliest memories while he was in a deep sleep, which shocked Astar to his core. He had never heard of a Werewolf experiencing something like that. There were certain beings of all races that experience future visions, but nothing that would dig through old or forgotten memories.

Astar closed his eyes slowly and sighed, "I didn't want you to find this out so soon, but I guess I have no choice but to tell you. In the simplest words, the moonstone is a mythical item that has a very strong connection to the moon and with the lunar energy it produces. Because Werewolves are strongly connected to the moon as well, the moonstone shows a reaction when a Werewolf gets close to it. The stronger the reaction, the more potential a Werewolf has. Every large pack has one and it's used in a Ceremony a little after a Werewolf from a strong lineage or whose family holds important positions is born to test the baby's potential."

Ambrose's expression changed many times in a few seconds. He didn't know how he should feel after hearing Astar's explanation. Should he feel angry with his real family and his former pack for abandoning him? Should he feel grateful because of the family he has now? There were a myriad of emotions going through his head, but there was one that slowly overshadowed all of them. It wasn't simply anger or rage, it was wrath.

Unknowingly, his bloodlust leaked out of his body and spread throughout the entire mansion. Brett, who was chilling and watching TV suddenly started shivering and found it hard to breathe. Simon was even worse, he felt like someone was choking him to death as he fell onto the ground and started holding his throat, as if he was trying to pry the invisible hands off of it.

Astar was alarmed at the density of the bloodlust and quickly said, "Ambrose! Quickly reign in your bloodlust, the Betas downstairs can't handle it."

Ambrose quickly snapped out of it and calmed his body and mind, making his bloodlust disappear like smoke.

"Astar they will eventually find out that I'm an Alpha. What should I do if they approach me? Should I kill whoever comes?" Ambrose said with narrowed eyes.

Astar leaned back in his chair and said, "I don't think they will bother you... for now."

Ambrose was confused, logically speaking if the pack found out that he even had a little bit of potential they would definitely go looking for him because of how special the De Wraith bloodline is.

Astar couldn't help but think back to the events of a few days ago.

********************************************************************************************************

A few days ago:

The Dark Moon Realm.

A place where the sky was dark for 20 hours a day, there were many majestic palaces in the territory of the Midnight Pack but there was only one that stood out among them all. It had a completely different aura and feeling compared to the rest of them. Inside there was an extremely large and long hall where at the end was a majestic throne. Currently, there were over 20 powerful beings present and they were all on one knee, bowing their heads towards the person on the throne. Nobody could see the person though, there was a shadow covering the person's body and all could be seen were his glowing purple eyes.

The being slowly turned his eyes towards the beautiful white-haired woman among them and said, "Ava, what was so important that you had to summon every Alpha and Elder to my throne room?"

"My lord it's about our youngest child." Ava said in a respectful tone while still keeping her head down.

"Blasphemy! You summoned all of us here because of your family's problems? This is a ridiculous abuse of power!" A large and burly man suddenly spoke up, his name was Damien Winter. One of two Alpha's of their bloodline in the Midnight Pack. Their family was one of the most influential in the territory.

Ava glared at him with bloodlust in her eyes before turning back to the True Alpha, "My lord, this is not about Amelia but about the child we sent away, my husband and I sensed that he had awakened his Werewolf side recently."

Ava's words sent shockwaves throughout the hall. They were all there for that incident where the newborn twins were tested. Amelia had shockingly high talent, even for a De Wraith, but Ambrose had no talent whatsoever. This incident sent shockwaves throughout the Dark Moon Realm.

"Is it possible for the moonstone to be wrong?"

"It can't be! The moonstone is never wrong."

"Ava wouldn't lie about something like this!"

The hall broke out in an uproar as the Alphas and Elders started arguing with each other. Running out of patience the True Alpha raised his hand and said in a commanding voice, "Silence!"

The throne room instantly became quiet as they waited for the True Alpha to speak.

"Is this true Ava?" The True Alpha spoke in a serious tone.

"Yes, my lord. My husband can confirm it." She said as she looked at her husband who was next to her.

Adam De Wraith, Ambrose's biological father nodded his head with a solemn expression on his face, "It is true, my lord. We both felt his presence at the same time."

The True Alpha was silent for a minute before saying, "Then it's settled. Someone will retrieve the boy and-"

BANG!

Everyone looked at the source of the sudden interruption, a man with black hair and silver irises casually walked into the throne room. Behind him were the unconscious bodies of the guards from outside the door. This man was none other than Astar.

Astar looked at the True Alpha without the slightest bit of fear and said, "Hello, father."
