Ambrose ran around the mansion like an excited puppy. There were 10 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, there was a bar outside on the large patio in the back that also had a pool and a jacuzzi.
"This place is perfect. But the real question is… does it have wifi?" Ambrose turned around and asked Brett with his eyebrow raised.
"…"
"Yes it has wifi…" Brett said in a defeated voice.
No matter how powerful Ambrose was, in the end he's still a teenager. Teenagers need wifi, that's a fact.
Brett decided to take the topic of the conversation to a more serious route; "What are we going to do about recruiting?"
"Hmmm." Ambrose had a thoughtful look on his face; "I know for a fact that there are no other Alphas in New York, but that doesn't mean that there aren't scattered Betas or Deltas throughout the state. We just need to find a way to draw them out."
They talked about how they could possibly locate other Werewolves for a few minutes. Without the proper resources, blindly searching for other Werewolves would just be a waste of time.
"Anyways there's something else that I wanted to talk to you about." Ambrose said with a serious look ok his face; "Now that we have this crazy mansion all to ourselves, let's throw a fucking rager!"
"…"
"A rager… it was only 24 hours ago that you were covered neck deep in Ghoul blood and now you want a party." Brett was simply baffled at how quickly his Alpha's mood can change.
"Come on…" Ambrose tried to convince Brett. "You've been on edge the entire time, don't think that I haven't noticed it. Throwing a party will be fun."
"…Alright fine, I'll send out texts and-" Just as Brett was finishing his sentence both of their heads snapped towards the front door.
It was… an animal?
"It's small… I'm not sure exactly what it is though." Ambrose said as he focused his senses on the creature outside.
Ambrose slowly walked up to the door and opened it suddenly before jumping back.
WOOF!
A shadow came speeding in and did laps around Ambrose.
Brett was baffled at what he saw; "Is that…"
Ambrose caught the shadow and it obediently started licking his hand.
"A puppy?" Brett finally finished his thought.
"I don't think it's a normal puppy, it looks like a wolf puppy." Ambrose said as he looked at the animal's features.
White fur, light blue eyes, ears that don't flop down, and sharp teeth.
"I don't know Ambrose, it could just be a really rare breed of-" Brett didn't get to finish his sentence once more.
Awoooo!
The puppy who was in Ambrose's arms let out an adorable howl.
Brett just facepalmed and didn't bother with the topic anymore; "Whatever… follow me to the basement, there might be booze down there."
Ambrose put the puppy down and followed Brett. The puppy trailed quietly behind them.
In the basement, there was a large couch and a 4K TV.
"Jesus this house has like 14 TVs." Ambrose couldn't help but comment.
There was a second room and what they found was a very good thing. There was a wall of vodka and other hard liquors, but most importantly there were kegs stacked up on the far wall.
"Holy shit." Even Brett was surprised by how much alcohol was here.
"Alright let's grab a few kegs." Ambrose said as he grabbed one in each hand and lifted them like they were nothing, Brett did the same thing.
WOOF!
The wolf pup followed them back up the stairs and onto the patio.
CLANK!
Ambrose and Brett put down the kegs and started planning.
"There's speakers out here, right?" Ambrose asked.
"Yeah my phone is hooked up to it."
"Alright can you do invites?"
"Yeah."
Ambrose turned to look at the pup that was now staring at him intently; "What do I feed him?"
"You're actually going to keep him?" Brett was baffled.
"I feel like if I kick him out, he'll just come back anyways." Ambrose said as he continued to study the strange creature that had started following him around.
Brett quickly searched it on his phone; "Wolf pups eat meat, I think we have a few frozen steaks in the freezer."
Ambrose went inside with the puppy to prepare some steak.
***************************************************
Brett sent out over 75 invites to this party. After all, there's more than enough room for them. Although it would mostly be outside where people would be mingling.
Though it was March, the patio also had heaters on all sides, so the weather was not much of a problem for humans.
Soon it was 9 P.M. and people started pouring in. Many were shocked at the scale of the mansion, they had never seen the place before as it was pretty isolated.
People from all 4 years were invited, Brett did not discriminate with invites. They were led to the back where there was now a pong table and plastic cups stacked up.
Brett turned up the music pretty loud. If there were any neighbors, it would be a guarantee that the party would get shut down in less than an hour.
Clara and Darren also got invites. Usually they wouldn't go to these things, but for the first time in their lives, their parents urged them to go so they can check in on Ambrose. Lauren was worried about him after his disappearance earlier.
"I can't believe those bone heads are throwing a party here. Does Brett really own this place?" Clara wondered as she looked around.
Darren was also looking around but he was not admiring the beauty of the mansion, instead he was using his enhanced vision to search for Ambrose.
Unknown to them, Ambrose was attending to a certain wolf pup at the moment.
"Alright, alright, let's get you to bed. I'll come get you in the morning or if you start yelping." Ambrose lightly consoled as he made a makeshift bed on the floor of the room he picked out for the puppy.
WOOF!
The pup seemed pretty intelligent, it woofed in understanding before settling down.
Ambrose quietly turned the lights off and left the room before locking the door with a key.
Ambrose hesitated for a moment before taking out his phone and texting Madison.
[R u coming to the party?]
[Madison: I didn't know you were there!]
[It was my idea]
[Madison: Then I'll come! See u soon.]
