Natasha looked away from him and he chuckled. "Your friend, is he someone I might know?" he asked.
"No, you wouldn't know him." She replied, her eyes strained in the distance as if expecting him to come from there. "He saved me." She said and Joel noticed the tenderness in her voice while she spoke of him. But then the rest of the words sunk in and he stopped in his steps.
"What do you mean he saved you?" He asked as he began to wonder what had happened in the little period he had gone for his degree. Natasha looked at him apologetically with her lips pressed in a thin line. "Natty, tell me." He said and came to stand in front of her. "Tell me what happened, Cuz."
She took a deep breath and walked the rest of the way to a sofa and say and down and he followed and say beside her wanting to make sure that he got the answer that he wanted. "He saved me from Nigel," she said while looking at him straight in the eyes. "He was responsible for everything."
