Kimberly continued complaining when the Alpha left.
"Not only is she weak, but she's also recovering very slow—"
She zipped her mouth immediately when the door reopened, and Sawyer appeared.
"Clothes," thriftily, he ordered.
"What?"
"For Evelynn."
"What?"
"Lend Evelynn some of your clothes."
Kimberly's jaw dropped. "No way!"
There was nothing more she hated than people messing with her clothes. The Alpha stayed still and waited for her to move.
"Clothes, now," he ordered. "One…"
'Crap!' Kimberly cursed inside her head.
"Two…"
No one would want the Alpha's count to reach the next number.
So she agreed in a heavy voice, "Alright."
She padded to her closet and took a pair of clothes that Evelynn could use. Her heart became heavier as she took steps closer to the Alpha.
Her hand was heavy when she handed the clothes to him.
"Take Evelynn to my house. I need to go to the office," he commanded her. "And don’t tell her yet about her being a wolf."
