A month had passed since the death of Fae, in the past month Tessa had lost herself in training, finally breaking through to spirit rank.
"Tessa dear, wont you come down to eat?" Ms. Phantom called out to her daughter. "No thanks mom, I'm not really hungry." Tessa blankly stated as she shut the door to her room.
That had been the case for the past few days, with Tessa not having an appetite. She sat back down and circulated the energy in her body.
'If only I was stronger, maybe than I could've protected him." Tessa thought as a pained expression flashed across her face. Tessa blamed herself for Fae's death, as his self-proclaimed protector the burden of his death weighed heavy on her.
The story that Tessa and everyone else had been told was that a 3 star spirit rank beast had mauled him as he went on a walk; they had the funeral about a week later and buried him in the orphanages cemetery, although Tessa thought she saw his eyelids move for a second, she quickly wrote it off after everyone called her crazy.

Fae had been running for what felt like hours through a tunnel, chasing the white light in the distance. The closer Fae got to the light, the more he felt it calling out to him. All the cells in his body felt a cool burn and his soul almost seemed to be pulling him forward.
Eventually he was standing right in front of the white light as it burned hot as a flame. He reached his hand towards it and the light dove into his palm, spreading through his entire body.
Somewhere behind the orphanage a bright red column of flame shot into the sky; seemingly touching the heavens and scorching the land around it.
***
Somewhere in a cave deep in the mountains a man had a smile on his face as he stared at the red column "Finally, it begins!"
***
As the column receded back into the ground a naked boy was left standing in the center of the charred land; it was none other than Fae, back from the dead.
"Hot! Hot! Hot!" Fae yelled as he patted at the small fires along his body. 'Wait they don't burn' Fae thought as he realized the fire was painless.
"Who goes there!" A voice called out, bringing Fae back to reality. "Wait I mean no harm." Fae stated as he raised his hands up. "What did you do to his grave!" The voice called out again as it ran out of the shadows confronting Fae. "Tessa?" Fae muttered as a smile crept onto his face.
"Who are you? How do you know my name? Why are you naked?..... Are you one of those necrophiliacs? You better not have touched his body!" Tessa barraged him with questions and accusations.
"What are yo-" Fae paused as he realized he truly was naked, causing him to blush in embarrassment. "So you really are one." Tessa came to the conclusion as she saw Fae blush. She charged at him preparing to punch his face. "Wait no it's me!" Fae screamed as he tried to dodge but wasn't quick enough. At spirit rank, Tessa was faster than Fae could ever hope to react to.
"I'll ask one more time, who are you?" Tessa asked as she stared down at Fae ready to stomp on his chest. "Wait it's me, Fae" "How dare you use his name!" Tessa screamed as she brought her foot down, causing blood to spurt from Fae's mouth.
"I don't feel like dying again, Tessa please, it's me." Fae pleaded as he tried to stand up and looked Tessa in the eyes. F- Fae?" Tessa asked as she looked at his eyes.
Fae had changed a lot in death his 5'8, and skinny frame morphing into a 6'3, lean build, with white streaks going along his mostly black hair; but no matter what changed about him, Tessa would always remember one thing. His eyes, those eyes that were filled with pain and determination, a determination to keep going that remained no matter what he went through.
"Fae is that really you?" Tessa said as she dropped her hands to her sides. "Yeah Tess, it's me." Fae said with a smile. Tessa's expression quickly changed from a look of excitement to fear as she came to a realization. "ZOMBIE!" Tessa released a deafening scream as she backed away from Fae and ran. Many lights in the orphanage turned on and voices could be heard as people were woken by the scream. {Multiple strong presences approaching, its recommended Host runs.} "What was that?" Fae looked around for the voice he just heard. {RUN!} The voice called again this time even louder and Fae decided to run away from the orphanage.

Back in the caves a voice let out a monstrous laugh as it stared at the scene between Tessa and Fae. "Looks like it'll be way to easy, you'll be back soon my love."
