Chapter 54 - MAN HO IN TROUBLE

Man Ho walks in his master's chambers and bows. "Your highness, I heard you were searching for me.

"Where have you been? Haven't I told you to always report to me whenever you are going out of the palace?" Gwnag Jae asks not sounding happy nor angry.

"Forgive me your highness, I had something very urgent to attend to."

"This mourning cloth is so uncomfortable." He grumbles as he adjusts the cloth.

"Is there any way I can be of help your highness?" Man Ho asks.

"I think I need to relax, lately I have been so stressed and tired." Gwang Jae says and sighs. "What about that lady?"

"Which lady are you referring to your highness?"

"That lady investigator, I think she calls herself Seol Im."

"I am sorry to break the news to you but she passed away already." Man Ho whispers.

"Passed away? How come? How did it happen?" The prince asks.

"Though, the entire lady investigators kept the situation private from the public at a whole but I still managed to find out she committed suicide."

"But what could have led her to that? Did you suppose she was going through something very unbearable?"

Man Ho is short of words for a moment, how can the prince decide to play dumb and ask what could have led the poor girl to take her own life ? After the terrible thing he did to her? Taking her dignity away? "I have no idea about that your highness." He finally speaks.

"Anyways, that's her misfortune. I seriously need to be with a woman this night. Get me one of the prettiest ladies. Make sure she can sing and dance well too."

"Your highness, I don't think you should be doing such at this moment. You are still mourning your grand mother." Man Ho whispers trying to caution his master.

Prince Gwang Jae stands and walks close to his underling. "What did you just say?"

Knowing well that he had already gotten himself into a very big trouble, Man Ho quickly goes all fours on the floor and apologizes. "I am sorry your highness."

"Didn't you hear me? I said what did you just say!!" The prince says yelling at the top of his voice.

"I said I don't think you should be doing such at this moment because you are still mourning your grand mother."

"Since when do you tell me what to do and what not to do?"

"Please take my life your majesty."

"Alright, I will do just that." He quickly grabs Man Ho's sword and pulls it out from the scabbard then point it to his neck. "Since when did filth like you tell the royals what and what not to do?"

"Forgive me your highness, I promise never to repeat such ever again." Man Ho promises but clinch his fists in great rage and anger as he wish to teach the spoilt prince a lesson.

Gwang Jae drops the sword and walks back to his sit. "Do everything I asked you to do, I will be at my private chambers by 8 in the evening."

"Yes your highness." Man Ho stands, bows and walks out.

****************

That night, the whole of the southern ministers gather. Anyone could tell that they gathered because they were so scared of what will happen to them if Suk-bin her majesty is being casted out of the place. Although, they have no idea on who is going to converse with them but they think it would be prince yeoning.

"Do you have any idea on what this meeting is all about?" Lord Kang asks his colleague whispering with fear.

"I have no idea too." One minister replies.

"I just hope this meeting turns out very useful, if Suk-bin her majesty get casted out of the palace, then that's the end for us all." Another minister whispers.

"I am more concerned about who is going to address us today." Lord Shim whispers.

"Who else than prince Yeoning ?" Lord Kang replies with a question.

"Whoever it is, let us come together and do something to save her majesty. You know without her we can't survive." Lord Shim whispers.

Ok Jung walks in the room with the attire she was wearing earlier that day, she holds a sword and looks around the room well as if she is observing or searching for something.

The minister exchange glances because they were surprised to see a lady dressed as a boy instead of prince Yeoning, but they grew silent.

"Who is this?" A minister asks

"I have no idea too." Another minister replies.

Lord Kang clears his throat and asks loudly. "Who are you young lady? Why are you dressed as a boy and why are you here?"

Ok Jung smiles and stands at the center of the room facing the ministers directly. "Pardon my manners, I had thought you all knew me because you really hate me."

"Hate you?" Lord Shim asks.

"Long story short." She says sternly. "I am the reason you turned your backs on Suk-bun her majesty."

"What?" The ministers chorus.

"You can call me the Ming Princess." Ok Jung says with a smile.

"Do you mean to tell us that you are lord Jang's daughter?" One minister asks.

"I am his one and only daughter that will marry prince Yeoning wether anyone is fine with that or not." She says sarcastically and smiles.

"Are you here to threaten us or tell us on how to save Suk-bin her majesty?" Lord Kang asks with some confidence.

"Save Suk-bin?" Ok Jung asks and burst into heavy laughter. "I am not here to talk to you on how to save Suk-bin, I am here to tell you how to save yourselves and survive in the palace without Suk-bin majesty."

"Young lady! You can't stand there and insult us for any reason!" Lord Kang says already fired up. "Mind the things you say."

"Shut your trap!" Ok Jung retorts.
