Chapter 18 - WOMEN

Gwang jae walks to his room with so much rage and annoyance after what his half brother said to him. "Man ho." He calls.

"Yes your highness." A man in his early twenties answers and bows. He stands behind the prince, putting on a soldier uniform and holding a sword firmly.

"We have a lot of things to discuss when we get to my chambers." Gwang jae whispers as he walks hastily to his chambers without looking at who he is talking too.

"Yes, your highness." Man Ho says and bows.

The prince finally arrives at his chambers, he sits and goes silent for a while before offering his guard a sit. "Have your seat." He says stretching forth his hand.

"Yes, your highness." Man Ho whispers and sits.

"Have you found the person who helped prince Yeoning two years ago?" Gwang Jae asks almost whispering.

Man Ho bows his head in disappointment and shakes his head. "Not yet your majesty."

"Not yet?" The prince asks again in a very loud voice and a lot of rage.

"Forgive me your highness." Man Ho apologizes putting his head down.

"How long will it take you to find just one person? How long?" The prince asks loudly still.

"I am trying my best your highness, I have positioned men to notify me immediately they get a tip off about the person."

"We have to find that person by all means." The prince whispers calming his nerves. "Who is that young person that took on fifteen trained men without even a sword?"

"I am trying my possible best to find that person too your majesty, I will like to know who is good enough to take on fifteen of my men off without a sword." Man Ho says and clinches his fists. "It is a big disgrace and dishonor to my name, your highness."

"If not for that person, prince Yeoning would have been dead by now." Gwang Jae whispers. "It would have been covered as thieves killing a mere man for his money."

"I am sorry for causing you problems your highness, if I had known it would all end up like this, I would have gone to do it myself."

"No." The prince retorts. "What if someone had recognized you as one of my men?" He shakes his head. "We should never come to such decisions, we have to thread carefully as staying in the palace now seems like walking on egg shells."

"Your majesty, what do you have in mind now? What else can we do?" Man Ho asks. "All I need from you is one order, and the Prince's head will be rolling on the floor."

Gwang Jae smiles and shakes his head again. "Yeoning's death is inevitable, his death is already certain. But it mustn't be in the palace, or should be even traced back to me for any reasons."

"So what do you suggest we do now?" Man Ho asks.

"We need to come up with something again, it has to be done outside the palace."

"But your majesty, ever since that incident happened, we have not been able to trail him. I think he is aware that we are up to something." Man Ho whispers.

"No man can hide from his shadows, we will surely get him when it's time to do so. For now, just focus on who we have been looking for, for the past two years. I need to see that person with my own very eyes."

"I promise to find that person by all means your highness." Man Ho promises.

"You have just seven days." Gwang Jae orders calmly.

"Your highness, I will do whatever it takes to find the person and bring him here." Man Ho says and bows, knowing quite alright that it might be very impossible to find the person within seven days, but who is he to dare take back the orders of the royal.

"Good of you." The prince nods and smiles. "Once I become Crown Prince, I will make sure you become the chief of royal guards."

"Your grace are immeasurable your highness." He says and bows.

"I can only make you that if I become the crown prince, so I need to your help in order to fight all competitors."

"My life is yours your highness." Man Ho bows. "I will do all it takes to fight for you and with you."

"That's right." Gwang Jae nods and smiles. "Put your head up."

Man Ho gently raises his head and looks at prince.

"I heard there is a new giseang in sosoru." Gwang Jae whispers sweetly.

"Yes your highness." Man Ho nods.

"I was told she is so beautiful and she is multi talented, but she has been playing hard to ge-"

"Your highness." Man Ho calls softly. "No need to speak further, I already have her prepared for the night for you."

Gwang Jae smiles broadly in satisfaction. "You are indeed the best of all, you know everything I want and what time I love to have them. So, where are we spending the night?"

"At your private chambers in the city." Man Ho replies.

"That is good." The prince smiles and nods. "You know, women are part of the good things of life that I have to enjoy personally, which is one of the reasons I must become king, to enjoy all the women I desire." He laughs gently. "I will like to see what that new giseang is capable of doing with a man, if she impresses me, I will have her be my mistress. But If she doesn't, I would have her serve all my friends entirely, even you." He says pointing to Man Ho. "You know, she shouldn't have acted up and played hard to get when she can't even perform well in bed." He looks at his guard who is so silent and asks. "Or am i wrong?"

"No." Man Ho shakes his head and feigns a smile even though he isn't pleased with his master's speech, he dares not try to correct him or object to what he says, if he values his life.
