Arthur had just admitted to his family that he had met a woman, which his mother always dreamed of hearing. Ester wanted grandchildren as soon as possible, rather than much later into Arthur's thirties, due to the fact she only had Arthur twenty five years ago, being with Elias for many many years before that. She don't know why they waited so long. Ester dreamed of having children since a young age with her soul mate, so she regretted not having Arthur sooner.
But on the otherhand, Arthur would be significantly older than all of his family members before he would become immortal with his soul mate, and Ester wanted Arthur to stay looking like her young son for the rest of their lives. Which is why she was over the moon when she heard Arthur say 'I've met a women'. She had a lot of questions.
"My beautiful son has met his soul mate, we will have grandchildren after all" Ester said excitedly to her husband, grabbing his arm gently as she spoke.
"My love we don't if this woman is Arthur's soul mate" Elias spoke softly to his wife, placing his hand on her hand.
"Yes my child there are many different women out there for Arthur to take as his own, he just needs to find the right one" The Immortal Queen spoke over to her daughter.
"My Queen is right, the future king needs the perfect wife to become queen, he has got many women to bed to find the right one for him to stand alongside him as he rules the metropolis" The Immortal King nodded with a smile at his wife.
As soon as Arthur's grandfather said 'He has got many women to bed to find the right one for him', something in him rose, something he had never felt properly before... Rage... He had never gave off the impression to anyone, to his family and his friends, that he just wanted to bed every woman he meets. 'Do they think so little of me?!' Arthur shouted in his head.
He also thought something else in his head for such a long time, it may have ruined his chances of meeting someone sooner, even though all he wanted to think about now was Penelope. 'Just because I am royalty does not give me the god given right to fuck anything that moves, every woman I have encountered is so disingenuous just because I come from wealth, they want me for my body and money'.
In the books Arthur and his family possess, there are many tales of kings and princes taking hundreds of mistresses to bed and having many wives from a young age. When Arthur read these, it felt wrong to him, he didn't want any one that, unlike many people his age...
As soon as Arthur was about to lose his head with his grandfather, he felt an odd twinge in his back he'd never felt before, it was on each of his shoulder blades. Where the odd sensations were on Arthur's back, he felt his shoulder blades with both his hands and felt two large lumps... 'What?!' Arthur momentarily freaked out, to come to the conclusion he must have been stung by many wasps, 'they must have come in from the gardens' he thought, 'but I didn't see any, or hear any...'.
When Arthur was lost in thought, he suddenly heard a ding, which made every one of his family members stop talking and stare at him, and Arthur's eyes grew wide to look at his pocket. Everyone knowing that the only way a person can recieve a message from outside their dimension, is that they have to be solidly soul connected to that person.
"Holy shit" Arthur stifled a laugh before his heart began to drum uncontrollably in his chest.
Not one of them spoke now, and waited in anticipation to see who the message was from. Arthur shakily took his phone out of his pocket to look at the text. 'Hey Arthur, it's Pennie here, thought I'd check if you gave me your real number or not ;)' He read the rest of the message with the biggest smile on his face his family had ever seen from him. Arthur placed the phone back in his pocket with a grin.
"Well there you have it, your poor opinion of me not being able to find a wife before I have sex with every woman in this bloody metropolis has been proven wrong. I've had a soul connection, that is what I wanted to say to you!" Arthur continued in an irritated mood...
"For your information, I met a women, a few day ago now, and within the first five minutes we had our first soul connection".
"Before you say anything, yes I know it was a soul connection, I know it because it raced through both of us like electricity, we both felt, and I was able to heal her".
"Now every time I am close to her I can feel her feelings, and I am pretty sure she can feel mine".
Arthur stopped speaking thinking someone was going to say something, but they didn't, they just looked at each other dumbfounded. They have never heard anything like it before, and neither did Arthur, but he was so angry by his families response to it all, his attention turned back to the task at hand, or the text should you say, or the woman who sent the text...
"Oh before you ask, her name is Penelope" Arthur scowled at his family before disappearing from the library.
'Back to Penelope' Arthur thought, while travelling back to the dimensions exit...
