As Arthur emerged from the tunnel into a small hall, he was greeted by ten high ranked guardmens, each stood to attention as they saw him. 'Thank god a bit of light' he thought. The hall had bright bulbs hanging from the ceiling, the walls were painted burgundy, and the floors were made up of massive grey tiles. There was three doors in front of Arthur, the left door was the guardsmens defence room, the door in front of him was the entrance to Magnus Luna Insulam (Great Moon Island), and the door to the right was the guardmens food room... It was a boring hall, but it was a hall that was serving as frontline security, after Leon appeared of course, most of the time...
"Entering Defence Hall, Sir Picum Smaragdus" One guardsman yelled.
All guardsmen saluted Arthur as he stopped in the middle of the hall, he nodded to each of them individually, one of the few that had the decency to do so.
"Gentlemen" Arthur said with much authority.
He then walked towards his Metropolis door and stopped, two lower ranked guardsmen referred to as 'The Doormen' were stood on either side.
"Sirs" Arthur nodded his head, they did the same.
The Doormen opened the massive red heavy doors for Arthur, who then entered his birth place. What he saw was a beautiful land, but he was beginning to like Penelope's Earth better. He had moved from Magnus Luna Insulam two years ago, in search of a wife (he gave up nearly straight away when he was of age in this dimension, which was eighteen, it just took him years to leave).
He should check in every two weeks, this was his real home after all. Arthur planned to, after finding a wife elsewhere, bring her back to Magnus Luna Insulam to live with him and build a life together. He had given himself three years on Penelope's Earth to find a wife, and he had a strange feeling he'd met the one, more than certain. He never thought he would, thinking of himself as being a lonely Picum forever. Arthur was a strong man, but he had a big heart.
The land Arthur saw before him was vast. The grass always stayed bright green, all year every year. The flora (plant life) was all evergreen, this means no flora die off in winter, no trees drop their leaves. However they change colour like on Penelope's Earth, in Autumn most of the trees leaves turn red and orange. Some of the trees had vine on of different colours, primarily green, blue and red, making them individual to this Earth (Leon had red vine in his beard).
Although the race Anima De A Animālis had people with the ability to possess an animal soul, they was also fauna in this dimension (animal life). All fauna was peaceful, a large difference to life on Penelope's Earth, no animal had a predator. For example, lions and gazelles lived in perfect harmony, and there was a reason for this...
Arthur walked along a mighty slabbed road, he looked side to side to the farmers in the fields and their animal souls (all farmers had either a Asinus soul (Donkey) or a Captura Equus soul (Draft Horse), but they had there individual prints (like all other souls). All the farmers bowed to Arthur as they saw him from a distance, he nodded at them in acknowledgement. He walked along this road for ten minutes before he arrived at the chief city, owned by his family, called Smaragdus Mētropolis (Emerald Metropolis).
The metropolis was very grand, the difference in this metropolis is that the poorest people lived in large bungalows at the bottom of the area, nearest the fields, given to them by the royals (Arthur's family). The people without a lot of money usually got given gifts from the Immortal King and Queen, primarily their homes and food, depending on their actions in life. A poor person for example who worked all their life and not comitted any crimes gets the royal treatment.
Poor and rich people who committed crimes live in dismal huts hidden behind straw fences at the far end of the main field, watched over by an appointed prisoner guardmen, and are given a plate of 'slop' in the morning and night. They have to do the maintanance of the straw fence, as well as cook for their individual guardsman. There is a reason they are stuck there, they are known as the 'Scum' of Smaragdus Mētropolis, they were criminals who also had their animal souls revoked from them by the Great Moon.
Rich people, as you can imagine, have very grand lives. They live in massive villas up towards the Smaragdus Castrum (Emerald Castle), there is a large incline and wide gardens where the villas end and the castle grounds begin. Every rich person has earned their wealth, however they go through several royal assessments to see if they are deserving, and can easily have their wealth revoked too, again depending on their actions.
Arthur passed through the poorer part of town, taking him roughly thirty minutes on foot, the residents all bowed in unison, he nodded to them once in a while.
He then reach the richer part of town, many offered to ride him up to the castle grounds on their souls or by carriage, but he politely declined, Arthur quite liked to walk, or fly...
The castle grounds was guarded by some of the highest ranking guardsmen, it was surrounded by a high brick wall, painted silver, and a large silver gate. They exchanged pleasantries, and Arthur stepped through the gate.
It always his favourite place to be within the Metropolis, many flowers surround the paths. 'Penelope would like this' Arthur thought to himself. Additional guardmen were dotted along the paths, and there was pristine cut hedges. A large silver iron fence and gate was placed in front of the castle, which was guarded by another eight guardmens, underneath Leon's title, on occasion Leon will also be posted there. They greeted Arthur with a bow, and vice versa, he was then granted entry to the castle.
In front of the castle there was large animal shaped hedges in pairs, apart from one. They were that of a Bald Eagle and a Camarillo White Horse, an Ostrich and a Zebra, and a lone Woodpecker...
