Chapter 5 - Blessed and Cursed

Wo Shie was 3 when he finally opened his eyes and started to take in worldly experience. He quickly became accustomed to his status as the lower echelon of society. His mother seeing that her son was healthy opted to not go public being a powerhouse and to just stay with and guide Wo Shie.

On the day Wo Shie opened his eyes the witch doctor came to visit and check him out hearing he seemed to be totally mortal from his mother. The witch doctor arrived at the small hut on the outskirts of a small mortal village called tranquil life village.

The witch doctor and Wo Shie's mother exchanged greetings, "Goodaftenoon Ms. Wu Langlan."

"Good afternoon witchdoctor, hurry up and come inside. he woke up not too long ago it was his first time looking for anything other than me and food. I don't know if he will sleep again!"

Wu Langlan, Wo Shie's Mother brought the witchdoctor into the small hut. The hut was 5.5 yards wide and long, with a connecting room to the left that was able to fit a mattress. In the main room when you enter you would see in the center room a small 3-year-old child in a small special bed with tall bars so he did not fall out. The witchdoctor and the woman that led her in here both were shocked to see the child that slept for 3 years only eating suddenly standing holding a bar to not fall and looking around.

They just exchanged glances but didn't say anything, the witchdoctor immediately began her examination she looked deeply at Wo Shie' Because she couldn't probe his health with her divine sense, she chose to use a wand medium with her spiritual energy this way she was able to clearly see His every vein muscle and meridian. Still for some reason or another she wasn't able to see his spirit sea and he seemed to be in an even more perilous situation than a lack of a divine sea, its well-known mortals without divine seas have methods to awaken it's just their very painful and time consuming because it was basically creating one's own soul.

The other problem was a little more concerning, " Ms. Langlan he seems to be perfectly healthy, but his foundation seems to have ruptured from its core." This was the result of such a massive Divine Spirit Universe Tree that the witch doctor could not sense, naturally his foundation was close to nothing at his conception, the only reason he was able to survive was because the large amount of energy attached to his foundation through his initial break through and the new Divine Spirit Universe Tree which was holding together and also repairing the shattered foundation.

Wu Langlan was aggrieved, she didn't know why it was like this her child blessed her cultivation but is cursed to be born a cripple, it would be possible to rebuild his foundation but without immortal level and God level treasures he'd always be at risk of it crumbling due to a battle injury or practice mishap.

The other 12 babies Lui Marime included also awakened Divine Spirit Universe and World trees they didn't have any damage to their foundation at all it was actually strengthened even further for them allowing them to jump straight into cultivation while also further strengthening their foundation and growing their Divine Spirit Tree's.

All of them looked at their child which felt like the blessing for their house to keep hidden from the world lest jealousy or fear take hold of someone standing opposite them.

Another 3 years passed by in the blink of an eye, over these 3 years passed with Wu Langlan and the witchdoctor taking care of Wo Shie, he grew a lot and a little weirder. When Wo Shie turned 4, he could already speak run read and write. By the time he was 5 he'd gotten his hands on his mom's cultivation manuals that were in a spacial ring that she hid inside the mattress.

That day when he found the manual, his mom came in seeing him standing with his knees bent with one foot in front of the other balancing his weight on is back leg rhythmically alternating front and back leg. Seeing Wo Shie so in tune she initially thought to herself 'what talent for cultivation, I might have one of his fathers family treasures that can help him if she knew better, she might have understood that her son was actually experiencing a cultivation enlightenment.

Wo Shie was not your average 5-year-old, he was sharp and could really grab the understanding from people's words and observe their slightest moves. He'd seen his mother fidgeting with the mattress one time while he was still four and after a bit of experimentation, he found the ring. he then tried to put it on poke and prod it but nothing happened so he closed his eyes and with a thought 'how do I see what's with this thing' his consciousness appeared within the ring there were millions of spirit crystals in here alongside weapons, and books.

There were even herbs and fruits in here, he couldn't help but wonder if his mom was a thief. shortly after that he ignored everything except the books within here. One book of the countless books here he felt a certain connection between it, so he reached out his hand grabbing it from the books it was lodged between.

The cover read 'Taijutu Incarnate' the book cover was dirty with burn marks as if someone made their best attempt to destroy or hide this book from the world. He began to read the manual and the feeling of enlightenment struck him like a cold lightning strike to the center of his forehead.

His consciousness returned to his body and that's what caused him to end up in the trance like state he was in.

Wo Shie's 6th birthday~

"Hes been like that for a year, at first I thought it was a trance then you told me he was being enlightened but it's been a year now and I'm truly getting worried." Wu Langlan had just started to express her feelings to the old witchdoctor but at this exact moment Wo Shie also opened his eyes which seemed to have changed color over the past year he spent in enlightenment.

At first they had a purple-ish blend of red and blue now one had a black pupil with a white iris and black outline with also black patterns in the white iris, while the other eye had a white pupil with a black iris with a white outline and white patterns in them. It looked a little creepy having one eye almost normal but then an inversion of the almost normal one somehow at the same time they were unquestionably mesmerizing.

Like a stary sky with large celestial bodies that seem like the deepest illusion making it feel as if you're infinitely far from the answer while it's floating in your face. Forever pulling your heart and soul as if there's something familiar about it and you just can't put your finger on it. For an unknown time, the witch doctor and Wu Langlan stood there unable to say a word trying to digest the feeling from seeing Wo Shie's eyes.
