Rita found herself in a different world filled with werewolves. She found herself inside a cage that was handled by a woman named Old Dawn.
The woman looked at her and said, "You look familiar." Rita didn't know why she would say that, but as soon as the woman said she was a human, she immediately understood where the woman was coming from.
"I'm sorry," Rita said. "We've never met before."
Old Dawn said, "Well, I think you're pretty good looking too." The woman then turned to her partner and asked him for something. He brought it over and handed it to her.
She grabbed it and said, "This is one of the keys to the cage." As she opened the door, she said to Rita, "Come on out." Then she walked away without telling Rita what was going on or where they were going.
As soon as Rita stepped outside of the cage, the wolves began to surround her. They sniffed at her and licked her face, but none of them attacked her. Rita tried to get back into the cage, but no matter how hard she pushed against it, it wouldn't open.
One of the wolves lunged forward and bit down on her leg. It started to tear at her flesh, but she threw her hand up, knocking the wolf away. A second later another one jumped onto her leg, scratching its claws on her body.
"You need to calm down," Old Dawn yelled at her. "You are a human in a werewolf world. If you don't want to be attacked again, then you must learn to behave yourself and follow me as I lead you."
Rita screamed at the top of her lungs. She didn't mean to do it; it just came out that way. The wolves stopped and backed away from her.
Old Dawn just shook her head and told her to hurry up.
Some minutes later, they were both standing in front of the Alpha of the pack, Alpha Barry.
"Who is she?" Alpha Barry asked as his eyes met Rita for the first time.
"That's our prisoner," Old Dawn answered.
Alpha Barry looked at Rita and said, "You're human?" He then turned to his wife, Luna Sarah. "We have a human in our pack."
Luna Sarah confirmed the words of her husband by laughing out loudly. "This is incredible," she said before turning to face Old Dawn. "I hope she is aware of the torture that awaits her."
"I am not sure she understands what her presence means here," Old Dawn replied.
Luna Sarah took a closer look at Rita and noticed the blood that was coming out from her body. "Why is she bleeding?" She asked Old Dawn.
Old Dawn moved a bit before answering the question. "We met some wolves on our way here and they had their eyes on her. In the end, one attacked her and tore a part of her skin.
"That is strange, but not surprising," Alpha Barry touched his chin gently.
Rita looked around the place she had found herself in. She couldn't make sense of what was happening to her. Everything seemed strange to her. Everything seemed awkward to her.
"So, what is your name?" Luna Sarah asked.
"Her name is Rita," Old Dawn answered for her.
"You don't need to talk," Alpha Barry raised his voice. "She has a mouth. She can speak for herself."
Rita struggled to open her mouth and she eventually found the strength to do so. "My name is Rita," she said.
"I didn't hear you clearly," Alpha Barry raised his voice. "What did you say your name is?"
"My name is Rita," she raised her voice again.
"I heard this," Alpha Barry smiled. "So, tell me, what are you doing in my pack?"
Rita tried to explain how she had gotten herself involved in an accident and how she had woken up just to find herself in a completely different world. She tried to make them understand that she didn't want any trouble and she was just interested in going back home and not causing any trouble.
"You are already here," Alpha Barry laughed out loudly. "Nothing you say can make me change my mind. You have found your way here. Now, you have to serve your time as a slave here."
Slowly, Rita was dragged back to her cell which looked like a cage. Old Dawn was kind enough to give her a loaf of bread before leaving her alone, and when she left, Rita found herself crying and rolling on the ground.
She cried for roughly ten minutes before she felt the presence of someone close to her.
"Be quiet," the stranger said to her. "I am Alpha Adam. And, I am here to help you. All you have to do is to listen to me."
"I don't know who you are, Alpha Adam," Rita protested. "Please leave me alone."
"You need to calm down, Rita," Alpha Adam said to her. "I am your friend," he informed her. "I am not here to harm you. I am here to help you. I know you more than you think I do," he informed her.
Rita was confused a bit because she had never met him in her life. "How did you know me? Who are you?"
Alpha Adam sighed as he looked into her eyes. "I am the son of Alpha Barry and Luna Sarah. My father is the Alpha of this pack. I was present when he was talking to you earlier today, but you didn't see me, and I understand why you didn't see me because you were focused on setting yourself free."
Rita felt lost when he was done talking, but she managed to ask him, "why are you helping me?"
Alpha Adam smiled. "Honestly, I don't know. But, deep down, I have a feeling you are my mate, and I need to do more to help you. Do you understand?"
Rita didn't respond. She found it hard to believe what was happening.
