Luna Sarah's state of mind was a mess "Why would Adam bring her into the pack if he didn't see anything in her that he was searching for? There was no way that she could have made it through the barrier spell on her own; rather, she had to be assisted by another person "Luna started having a conversation was going between Sophia and one of her servants.
The maid did not want to think that the Luna was genuinely attempting to have a conversation with her, therefore she was bewildered by the situation. She didn't say anything more than a simple nod of her head before continuing on with her responsibilities.
"Guards! Send someone to get Adam and inform him that his presence is required immediately." Luna Sarah was interested in obtaining more information from her son.
After Adam entered the room, he greeted his mother with a hug and then proceeded to sit on one of the ethereal chairs while his mother spoke. He was well aware of the fact that his mother was not the sort to carry on lengthy discussions or to nag. She was the kind of lady who thrived on getting things done and seeing results right away.
"To what degree do you have a connection with the slave?" The conversation between Luna Sarah got right to the point.
Alpha Adam only gave a little shrug and repositioned himself; he was getting himself ready for a significant talk. Whatever it was that Alpha Adam had in mind to say at this juncture, he was well aware that he needed to proceed with extreme care in doing so.
Alpha Adam intended to take control of the discussion by instigating a fight, so he addressed his mother with the following phrase: "Mother, I urge you not to lose your calm when conversing with me."
"That does not address the issue that I raised. Adam, I am completely in control of my emotions; I will not lose my composure. Discuss openly the nature of your connection with her, whatever it may be," Luna Sophia was able to detect her son's intentions. She made the decision to not be a victim, but rather to play clever.
"I caught her breaking the rules and entering the restricted area. I might have ignored her but I liked her. I just had the impression that it would be beneficial to have a living being present in the castle" Alpha Adam made an effort to conceal everything that would point to his feelings of love for Rita.
After a moment of fixation, Luna Sophia talked to her child "Who do you think you are fooling, and how gullible do you think I am? What is all this nonsense about asking her to be your mate tomorrow and inviting her to the mating ceremony? Are you insane?" The yelling came from Luna Sophia just as she was about to lose her composure.
Alpha Adam was well aware that his mother had already worked it out "Okay, it's to your advantage that you have realized what's going on by now. What exactly would go wrong if I made the decision to make out with a human being?"
"You idiot of a son, you went into the human world and abducted an innocent girl, took her under terrible agony, and now you realize you want to put all we stand for in jeopardy?" Luna Sophia had lost all control of herself utterly.
"You are making it sound as if I am the evil one in this situation, but all I have done to her is bring her to the pack; I haven't done anything more to injure her. I did this because I love you and because it is the correct thing to do. My primal wolf had a feeling about it, and it turned out to be correct" Alpha Adam retaliated against his mother by lashing out.
The fight was growing more loud, and the watchmen and the maids started to get concerned.
"Have you forgotten all that took place a hundred years ago? Michangelo, your closest friend and step brother, was murdered by humans. Have you forgotten everything that happened?" Luna Sophia made several attempts to connect with her kid on an emotional level.
Alpha Adam became feeble at the mere idea of Michangelo. He tried his best to suppress the tears that sprang to his eyes as he thought of Michangelo, but they fell regardless of his best efforts "It is true that humans were responsible for Michangelo's death; but, not each and every one of those individuals was Rita. There is only ever going to be one Rita."
After hearing what her son had to say, Luna Sophia was dumbfounded. "My boy has gone berserk?" She commanded the guards in the presence of Alpha Adam to execute the slave girl immediately after she had the thought, "guards, I want the slave girl executed instantly."
"I am not one to make idle threats, but the day that girl passes away is the day that you and every member of your family will pass away. And as for you, mother, this will be the very last time you look in my direction for all of eternity," Alpha Adam reprimanded his mother before leaving the room.
They all understood quite well that the young Alpha meant every single word that he had uttered, and Luna Sarah signaled the guards to cancel the expedition. Luna Sarah brushed them off and retreated to her room to get some shut-eye.
Rita had cuts and bruises all over her body, and when she woke up the following morning, she was in excruciating agony all over her whole body.
"Are you up human slave?" The next cell over, Sophia could be heard calling out. Rita was a particular prisoner who was not permitted to leave her cell. Other convicts were required to attend roll call and were permitted to leave their cells for a variety of activities outdoors. The guards made sure that she had all that she needed and that she was never in want of anything.
"Yes, I wonder how on earth I am still alive after being subjected to so much torment?" Rita mourned.
"Old Dawn is constantly aware of the most effective means to torment others. Your healing process will be fairly sluggish since you are a human; in comparison, werewolves and vampires have a much quicker recovery time "Sophia smiled and made her way over to where Rita was being held.
"You're not supposed to be anywhere except in your cell, are you? Therefore, how are you able to stand in front of me?" Rita seemed to be perplexed.
Sophia chuckled and continued, "we are allowed to get out once in a while under rigorous supervisions. We are still werewolves despite we are criminals, and we are permitted to go for walks, participate in various sporting activities, and even joke about sometimes."
Rita was already resentful that she couldn't participate in the enjoyable activities that the other inmates were able to do. "Why am I so confined like the worst criminal in here, I mean look at me, I have not done anything wrong to harm anybody," she questioned. "I have not done anything wrong to offend anyone."
There was a little chuckle from Sophia, and she continued, "You are a human being, and I believe the other convicts will attempt to take advantage of your frailties. Therefore, I believe it is for your own good that you are now incarcerated. Nevertheless, if you give me some leeway to protect you, I will do so."
Rita was appreciative, but she was baffled as to why Sophia had promised to assist her in such a significant way. She came to the conclusion that Sophia was only an upstanding felon.
"Bloody heck! What are you doing at the moment?" When Rita saw Sophia strip naked in front of her cell in the hallway, she was completely taken aback.
"Take a very close look at my skin; do you see any scars, whip marks, or anything else?" Sophia had a question.
"No, I don't think so; it's almost as if you've never been flogged before. I have to compliment you on your firm tits and your gorgeous curves, "the things that Rita witnessed had a profound impact on her.
After getting clothed, Sophia said, "but I am the most disciplined wolf in this jail, that's the strength of werewolves the ability to accumulate and recover from scars."
After that, Rita said, "so how will I be able to get rid of the scars from my injuries and recover faster?"
After saying to Rita, "Well, you could drink the blood of a pure werewolf, you would recover really quickly and yet be totally human, nevertheless thanks for the compliments," Sophia then walked outside to play some games and left Rita alone in the jail. Rita was quite upset at being left alone in the cell.
