" Do you know how to take care of children? '' Lucy looked up to her cold boss who hardly spoke a word
" Yes sir " she quickly replied as she didn't want any trouble from him
" You'll be following me home tonight get prepared " he instructed and went back to work.
it's been three months since Lucy became his secretary but she still feels scared whenever he's around, not as if she regrets having this job but he was just too cold for her liking.
she immediately placed a call to her mum to inform her that she wasn't going to be back tonight
"Lucy I don't see the need for this "her mum complained at the other end of the phone. Lucy knew exactly where she was headed to

" Your uncle owns one of the biggest empires in the world and has enough resources to take care of you and your next ten generation so why don't you just listen to him ?"
"hmm mum we'll talk about this later l okay love you"
she ended the call immediately as she wasn't in for any drama today, she checked the time and it was already closing hour
"let's go" the voice of her boss startled her from behind.
Lucy is from a rich and affluent family although she has never seen her dad she never lacked fatherly care or love her uncle was always there to provide for her which she didn't want, she wanted to build up her empire without her uncle's help and the day she informed her uncle that she wanted to take up a job he immediately kicked against it, saying her dad already made provisions for her.
Yes they were filthy rich but she didn't want to be a spoiled child that always got what they wanted, and she couldn't deny the fact that her uncle was a mastermind in business. The company she is working with is having issues with his. She was just lucky that no one knew who she truly was as her uncle always kept her identity a secret from the public.
The car suddenly came to a halt bringing Lucy back to her senses.
she stepped out of the car and followed behind her boss Zack and was left in awe immediately she stepped in
It surely was a beautiful house but it was just like a family house.
unlike what she expects. she thought he lived in a big mansion with servants running here and there but reverse is the case
" thank goodness you are here the kids are inside and I have to go bye" a lady in her 30s gave Zack a hug
" Good evening ma" Lucy greeted

" I'll be here by 8 am to pick them up " she added and left. The lady was very beautiful and one could tell from the similarities and resemblance that they both were siblings
" Uncle! " a little boy called and hugged Zack, Lucy, on the other hand, was surprised to see him smile for the first time
" Hey pumpkin where are your siblings ?"
" They are inside, hello aunt" he greeted

"wow I never taught uncle would have such a beautiful girl as his girlfriend you're so beautiful"
" What? Michael you're becoming spoilt you little brat take her to your siblings she would be the one caring for you all tonight"
"Okay after you my lady"little Michael said with a jest which made Lucy burst out laughing.
They arrived at a well-decorated room with teddy bears in it and two cradles where two little angels laid
"that's tessy and this is terra" Michael introduced
"wow they are so beautiful and cute"
"yes only when they are asleep these children are my doom"
"oh really why do you say so?"
"they've been trouble ever since they were born now come on leave them alone," he said and pulled Lucy to his bed
" Here read me a bedtime story. It's already late and I need to wake up early. You see" Lucy couldn't help but smile at the young boy who acts as if he's a grandpa.
Lucy finished reading Michael the story he chose and tucked him to bed, she turned and found both babies fully awake and crying.
Lucy has never been a mother but from the experiences she got while taking care of the kids in the orphanage she knew exactly what to do. she fed them the food their mum placed on the table. And couldn't help but wish to have a set of twin girls just like them, she noticed that they were becoming sleepy so she began singing them a lullaby to help them fall asleep
Unknown to her that Zack has been watching her.
I never knew Lucy could take care of children so well at least, both the twins and Michael are asleep.
I carried Lucy and laid her on the couch and make my way to the study room as I've got important work

I woke up to the smell of burning food, and quickly made my way to the kitchen just to find Lucy and the kids
" Good morning uncle" Michael greeted
" Good morning sir" Lucy also greeted, she was carrying both the twins and cooking at the same time. I checked the time and it was just 5 am
" What's all this? "
" well sir Michael said he needed to be early for school today as they would be going for an excursion and the twins seem to be hungry" she explained and I nodded
" I'm hungry" Michael complained and claimed the counter
" hmm sir if you don't mind can you hold one of the twins so I can cook?"
she said and I took terra from her Looking at Lucy's I was unsure about leaving my kitchen all to her cause I feared she would burn it down
