I arrived at the villa at exactly 6 pm, I could see maids running from right to left
"Maybe she's one of the maids" I said to myself.
when suddenly one of the security guards approached me
"sir please who are you here to see?"
"there would be no need for that as am already here" a voice answered, I turned around to find a lady in her mid-fifties, the way she walked was like that of a delicate lady, something about her reminded me of my mum
" I'm Mrs. Alicia Lucy's mum"
"Nice meeting you ma" I greeted trying to hide my shock
"no need to hide your shock, am sure you were expecting me to be one of the maids here but it's okay," she said
"Well the main reason I called you here is to talk about my daughter, I know she might have told you a false story of who she is but I won't.
You see Lucy is one stubborn child that doesn't want to receive anything on a platter of gold although she was born that way...Am not against her working but what I won't take is you overworking her I don't see the need of her working under you when she can just buy up your company"
she said and for the first time, I experienced goosebumps. something told me that this lady wasn't one to mess with she was about to say something when a maid approached her
"Ma the young miss stepped out an hour ago, she said her boss nephew called"
"Did she mention where she was going "
"no, she just drove off"
"you can go," she said and gave me a questioning gaze
"Well my little boy went for an excursion to the forest close to the bridge, hmm I think they call it the bridged forest" I replied and Lucy's mum's expression turned to that of worry
"y- you mean she's going to the forest"
"yes"
"oh no," she said and started going through her phone, I then noticed a similar tattoo Lucy has on her hand on her mum's hand, the only difference was that Lucy's has a crown on it and wings, while hers was like a complete heart and star
"Lucian, Lucy.. Lucy, she went to the forest, yes we'll be there" she ended the call and turned to me
"do you mind taking me there"
"yes sure, "I said and picked up my keys but she held my hands and the next minute we were in the forest. Mrs. Alicia suddenly flinched and let go of my hand, her eyes turned to gold as she stared at me
"Who are you?" was the only question she asked
"Alicia! " a man called walking out of the dark, he had dark long hair like Lucy's which covered his face
"Lucy is in danger, we need to act fast," he said and disappeared, Alicia on the other hand kept staring at me and also disappeared.
I could feel that they were more powerful than I was. Since the first day, I met Lucy I could feel the presence of her power but I never knew who she was, then the tattoo...the tattoo on her hand was also similar to mine, if we were to bring our tattoos together it would form a complete heart, crown, and wings.
"Wind move," I said and the wind picked me up from where I stood to its direction. I was already used to my powers since I discovered them so using them wasn't a problem. finding Lucy was the main problem for me because I didn't have any belongings of hers nor do I know her scent. I perceived the scent of blood so I followed the scent, and I found dead bodies of weird-looking creatures all over the forest, I followed the trail of bodies and found Micheal holding on to a lady with a mixture of black and silver hair her eyes were gold just like that of Alicia, she suddenly stared into my eyes seems she felt my presence.
she tilted her neck and from nowhere mist formed into various sharp objects and started attacking me. Although I tried ducking some of them, they would return to attack me. I used my powers in destroying them and when I was done she raised her hands and the wind suddenly turned against me, I was frozen in the air and couldn't move even a muscle, my spells weren't working I was left helpless
"Lucy no"someone screamed and I turned to find Mrs. Alicia
"Lucy please stop it's me your mum"
"MUM" she said and I could feel myself getting free
"yes baby it's me"
"Mum I.." she couldn't complete what she was saying before she fell unconscious.
I fell to the ground so hard that I thought I broke a rib. I gently picked myself up from the ground and Lucy was carried by the man we saw when we arrived.
while Mrs. Alicia carried Michael who seemed to be in shock. she came to where I was and we all teleported back to the villa. lucy was carried to her room, while Michael was laid in another room
