'First, let's check this evolution system…' Tristan thought before entering the dungeon.
'Status'
Tristan willed it and a screen showing information regarding Tristan appeared.
[Name :- Tristan
Race :- Human
Existence Level :- 1
Class :- none
Intelligence :- 40
Vitality :- 25
Agility :- 20
Mana :- 30]
Well, it was nothing like Tristan expected. He was expecting a system like those novels that he read but this one was too simple.
Though after a few seconds Tristan also understood that this system was more practical.
You can't simply measure someone's health and decide when he is going to die.
'Then the only purpose of this system is to Level up and choose a Class.' Even though Tristan said that he was feeling a bit weird regarding this system.
Tristan shaked off the thought and finally decided to enter the dungeon. After all, if he doesn't enter the dungeon within a single minute the dungeon break will occur and all the Monsters in the dungeon can exit the dungeon.
Tristan entered the portal and almost instantly he appeared in a graveyard-like place. The graveyard was in a cave, that's why it was a bit weird.
'According to the memories of Alucard the first generation dungeons are meant to cause havoc by breaking but if you enter it before then and survive till the end. You will get a way larger head start compared to other people.' Tristan thought to himself while looking at the surroundings.
*Grrrr*
Tristan heard a growling voice from his side. When he turned around and looked towards the source of the voice he saw a pretty gross creature.
It was a two headed wolf who's second head was actually stitched to the other head. They also varied from each other.
Some didn't have an eye, teeths or other organs. The most gross ones were those whose internal organs such as the brain and intestine can be seen hanging outside of their body.
They had eerie green glowing wisps in their eyes which glowed in the darkness of the cave. All in all they looked the very definition of undead.
[Dungeon monsters :- Two headed zombie hounds]
Only their name can be seen above their heads and no other information was there.
Tristan threw his bag away and took the metal bat. He stood in a defensive position with all of his attention around his surroundings so that not a single hound could sneak attack him.
The best way to kill undead is through fire but Tristan can't just bring combustible products as that was too risky and inefficient.
That's why the second best way is to completely destroy the body to the point of being unmovable.
That's why brutal weapons such as hammer and clubs are best against undead. In zombies' case, you need to beat them until the green wisps in their eyes don't die down.
One of the hounds kept towards the direction of Tristan. Practically speaking zombies are slow creatures but that is not the case for hounds, they are not slow.
Tristan simply doged the attack with a side step, his attention still on his surroundings. Tristan slashed his bat towards the legs of the hounds to completely immobilise him.
The first two pairs of legs got completely detached from the body of the hound making the hound fall on his face.
Tristan took the opportunity and without wasting a single second he started hitting the heads of the hound like a maniac.
Just when he was about to completely smash the head of the hounds, more hounds appeared near Tristan, trying to take him off guard.
One of the few things which is common in undead is that they are brainless. They rely completely on their instinct without thinking about stuff like whether or not they are going to survive.
Tristan made complete use of this fact by slowly separating the hounds from each other.
He used to run a little until there was enough distance between the hound that was chasing him and the other hounds.
After doing that while dodging the attacks of the hounds he immobilised them but destroyed their legs and smashed their heads.
Before Tristan knew it he had already killed a hound. He recognised this not just by the absent green wisps but also because of a message from the system.
[+10 Exp]
'So killing a single hound gives you 10 Exp…' If
Tristan compared it to other mobs the exp was quite low at least according to the memories of Alucard but that is what makes this dungeon easy.
Though the hounds might look creepy and gross they were still brainless zombies who didn't have an ounce of intelligence.
The Exp might be low but the battle experience and vast population of undeads were enough for satisfaction.
Tristan raised his head and looked towards the direction of the hounds who were approaching him slowly but steadily.
Tristan needed a new plan. The numbers of hounds were way more to the point that he would be pushed to the brink of exhaustion.
Though there's a way to avoid that Tristan didn't want to take any risk that's why he decided to follow a separate plan.
Tristan ran towards his bag, picked it up and started running near the wall of the cave. The hounds are still chasing.
'I have to find it fast…' Tristan thought while running along with the wall and avoiding the frequent jump attacks of the hounds.
After running for a few more minutes Tristan finally found the thing he was looking for.
It was a mini cave in the vast cave. Tristan recognised that small caves such as this will be present in this huge cave with uneven formation.
Tristan entered the cave and threw his bag towards the end of the cave while checking that no one was present in the cave.
After confirming that he was the only one in this cave Tristan looked towards the direction of the entrance where the hounds had already started to enter.
Tristan used the same strategy by breaking the legs and destroying the head until he got the notification of exp gain.
Slowly a lot of hounds started to die piling up their bodies at the entrance of the cave. At some point Tristan leveled up and to take a break from the constant killing he decided to check what happened after levelling up.

[Level up!!]
[All stats +5]
'Status' Tristan willed it and his status screen appeared in front of him.
[Name :- Tristan
Race :- Human
Existence Level :- 2
Class :- none
Intelligence :- 45
Vitality :- 30
Agility :- 25
Mana :- 35]
'Hmm, all the stats went up by 5. Isn't it a bit too overpowered or the higher the level the harder it is to level up…' Tristan thought while looking at the status screen. What he thought was near correct.
'Well, let's keep on going…' Tristan thought while gobbling up a protein bar.
He smashed open the wall of hounds which was covering the cave with his new found strength.
Tristan noticed that his reflexes, thought processing speed as well as strength has increased by leaps and bounds. He felt as if he had been working out for more than 5 years.
'So this is the power the earth bestowed upon humans…' Even though Tristan was glad as well as favoured by this behaviour of earth his mind can't help but find this a little suspicious, don't know why.

[Level up!!]
Tristan leveled up once again but he didn't stop and kept killing more and more until all the hounds were completely dead.
[Total Exp Gained :- 500!!]
A new screen opened up showing the total amount of Exp Tristan has gained in this haul. Tristan was glad at how many mobs he had killed for his first time.
Maybe due to the experiences and memories of Alucard Tristan didn't feel anything much while killing these creatures mercilessly.
First of all, Tristan never really had such emotions such as humility and mercy. If not for the experiences and memories of Alucard the most he would feel would be disgust but right now he didn't even feel anything.
For him he was just completing his goal and the creatures he killed were only cannon fodder and stepping stone for his future growth.
Tristan went towards a lifeless body of one of the two headed zombie hounds. He faced the palm of his right hand towards the body of the hound and willed :-
'Loot'
The hound got covered in a bright white light and kept glowing for a few seconds. After that the shape of the body changed and the only thing that remained were some items.
[Looted items :-
Monster core ×1
Rough fangs ×2
Undead essence ×1]
Tristan didn't waste a single second and check the first item and he got a detailed explanation about the item.
[Monster core :- Two headed zombie hounds
Rank :- F
Description :- This monster core will give you +1 in Vitality stat.]
The Monster core is present in all monsters who are in the dungeons. It was the size of a small pearl in green colour.
The monster core is used for many things but the most common and useful way to use it is very rewarding.
[Would you like to use the monster core to get +1 in your vitality stat?
Yes/No]
The system asked when Tristan grabbed the monster core.
Due the monster being an undead type who are known for their unending strength, stamina and low chances of death, it gave the vitality stat.
'Yes'
[+1 Vitality!!]
Tristan doesn't feel anything much except for a bit more energy and stamina in himself.
'Loot'
Tristan this time pointed his palm at all the body of Hounds as it would take too much time to do it one by one.
The same phenomenon occurred again just that this time the quantity was quite vaste.
[Looted items :-
Monster core ×50
Rough fangs ×100
Undead essence ×50]
'If my guess is correct…' Tristan thought as he used all the monster cores to increase his vitality but only 19 disappeared out of fifty.
[+19 Vitality!!]
[You have maxed out the Vitality stat for your current level!!]
