Agnus was looking at the photo of two images with eyes filled with wonder. These were the exact same images contained on the cover of his Gricard containing the image of his scythe and his armor, while more information was written in detail on the next page.
"These evolution requirements for strengthening both weapon and armor to +1 are a little high..."
He was surprised to see that if he wanted to strengthen both his weapon and his armor, he would need to integrate into each of them 50 1st order spirit crystals just to strengthen from +0 to +1: "That won't be possible in a short space of time..."
"Those with common equipment only need 1 crystal of 1st order to both strengthen their weapons and strengthen their armor by +1. However, how could my equipment compare to common equipment? Both my weapon and my armor are divine tools. Naturally, your evolution requirements will be more demanding."
After consoling himself, he flipped to the next page and observed the information about your abilities.
Arcane Thunder Reaper Mage specializes in three skill branches:
Thunder Lord, Dark Lord, and Void Lord.
Each skill branch only has a single passive skill, regardless of order. For each order evolution, one innate skill from each skill branch will be unlocked randomly, and currently, three of them have already been unlocked, one for each skill branch.
In addition to innate skills, you also have 3 slots available to assimilate acquired skills, and +3 acquired skill slots can be unlocked as your evolution order is promoted to the next order.
After reading this information, Agnus saw that there was a page for each skill category.
[Thunder Lord's]
[Passive Ability]: Heart of Thunder: Increases the wearer's affinity with the element thunder. When being attacked by similar elements, the damage taken will be reduced according to the difference in order level of the evolved, user and opponent.
Innate Abilities: [1]
[1]: 1st order Thunderbolt: Fires a small ball of thunder at an enemy causing damage and stuns them reducing their speed for a few seconds depending on the strength of the evolved, user and opponent.
[Dark Lord]
[Passive Skill]: Heart of Darkness: Increases the wearer's affinity with the element of darkness, affecting their behavior, making them cold and calculating. When being attacked by similar elements, the damage received will be reduced according to the difference in the order level of the evolved, user and opponent. When in danger, your senses will be heightened and your heart will alert you in advance.
Innate Abilities: [1]
[1]: Reaper's Wings of 1st-order: Materializes black wings that in addition to allowing the ability to fly, can launch a shower of 100 feathers of energy into the surroundings within a 10-meter radius.
[Lord of the Void]
[Passive Skill]: Heart of the Void: Increases user affinity with the cosmic element. Your spatial senses are enhanced and will be sensitive to spatial fluctuations. When being attacked by similar elements, the damage received will be reduced according to the difference in the order level of the evolved, user and opponent.
Innate Abilities: [1]
[1]: 1st order Void Aura: When activated, gravity is increased by 2x within a 10-meter radius.
On another page, he saw that there were only 3 slots available for acquired skills and some more information about them.
While passive abilities are unique and innate abilities are randomly received with each new evolution order, acquired abilities are those that he can use according to his own choice as long as it is an element ability similar to that of each class. For example, he has affinities with the elements thunder, darkness, and cosmic, if he wants to acquire a skill of a different element like the element Light in one of the acquired skill slots, this will not be possible.
"Although I only have three skills now, they are very powerful... Wait, I acquired a skill with the welcome pack."
With a thought, a small red card appeared before him.
From the Gricard's information, he knew that all skill cards are red.
In the center of that card red, there was a drawing of a black scythe surrounded by purple thunder slashing horizontally while what appeared to be a wave of purple energy formed a horizontal slash. Just below the scythe, it contained his order and information: [3rd-order Void Slash]: Launches a 3-meter-long energy bar at the enemy within a range of 300 meters.
"That's it. This is a 3rd order skill card... Luckily, there are no restrictions on using higher order skill cards, such as happens to the attribute cards."
He then inserted the 3rd order skill card into one of the 3 acquired skill slots, leaving only 2 slots available.
Although skill cards were not ranked like the attributes cards, they could still be evolved from 1st order to a higher order and only their description would determine how strong and rare they really are.
"Very good. Leaving aside the 3 passive skills, I now have 4 skills that can be used in combat. Also, both Reaper's Wings and Void Slash are very suitable to be used as AoE damage in case of siege..."
On the next page, he noted the 0th-order attribute slots and that only one of them had a black background that contained the word "Available", while the other 9 slots were gray with a closed padlock in the middle. Clearly, each slot would be unlocked according to the level of evolution, and since he was still at level 1, only the first slot had been unlocked.
Seeing that one slot was available, he couldn't help but lament, "What's the point of me getting a 1st order divine attribute card if I can't use it before evolving to the 1st order?"
"System, why didn't you give me a 0th-order divine attribute card?"
He was just asking a rhetorical question and wasn't expecting an answer when he was surprised by the system.
[The welcome pack selected only the lowest grade items it could find that are 1st order cards. 0th order cards do not have ratings such as Rare, Epic, Legendary, or Divine. They are just 0th order cards classified as Common and can only provide +10 of attributes. This type of card is seen by the system as a garbage card]
"Well... Even though they're garbage, they each add 100 kg in combat power alone and that will increase to 1000 kg in strength when all 10 slots are filled..."
Beat!
Suddenly, a knocking sound roused him from his thoughts causing him to quickly retract his Gricard into the soul space and stared at the source of the noise.
"The zombies have arrived..."
In the narrow opening of the door, a new zombie had just landed on the corpse of the previous zombie and was thrashing around on the floor trying to crawl into the room, but his waist was blocked by the narrow opening of the door and he just stretched out his arms as he growled with his bloody mouth and white eyes.
"Good, very good. I happen to need a 0th-order attributes card..."
"The current me is no longer the previous me that would need little tricks to solve a zombie as slow as you..."
Agnus couldn't contain the joy he was feeling right now. With his current agility and strength, he felt very confident against this zombie who had become too slow in his eyes.
Also, he felt that with his current magic power, he could simply launch a thunderclap and this zombie's head would be blown up in smoke, but he still chose to practice his muscles and get used to using his scythe.
Not that his magic spells didn't need to be practiced to gain experience, but he felt that using magic spells against a single zombie would be a waste of energy.
With a thought, he summoned his Black Arcane Thunder Scythe and couldn't help but admire it while feeling its weight and appreciating its beauty.
His scythe was much bigger than he was. It had a 2-meter tall black metallic handle. At the top was a long blade forming a small crescent where the sharpest part was silver and the other half was pitch black. On the back of the scythe was a small sharp hook, and in some parts it was serrated. Between the scythe's blade and the 2 meter black handle, there was what appeared to be a small crystal prism containing purple thunder which was where the greatest concentration of lightning was.
As he held it, the rays that snaked through it intertwined with Agnus's right hand, but he only felt a slight tingle at first and quickly got used to it thanks to the help of the passive thunder heart skill.
Silently, new information about his weapon flooded his sea of awareness as he muttered: "Amazing. She still has that function. Its weight is clearly 10 tons, but when I hold it, its weight is no different from being just 10 kg. It really is a weapon worthy of being classified as a divine weapon."
He couldn't help but look at the zombie before him with pity. He was regretting that the first hunt with such a divine weapon was just a mere zombie.
However, he was eager to try it out and quickly stepped forward: "Now it's my turn to start hunting."
The zombie, who was all clumsy over the corpse of the previous zombie, was still struggling between the opening of the door blocked by the table in an attempt to get up when he saw his prey approaching and started to stretch his arms frantically for Agnus, but there was just a flash of cold metal that quickly sliced through his head vertically like a sharp knife cutting watermelon.
Puff...
[You killed a level 1 zombie and gained +5 of energy]
