Chereads / Agastya: Young Visionary of the 21st century / Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 In the eyes of beholders!

Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 In the eyes of beholders!

When Bhanu visited my home and she had a long conversation with dad:

Bhanu: (After worshipping the lords at home) Greetings grandpa and grandma! Greetings uncle and aunty! Greetings brothers!

Everyone: Remain blessed child!

Mom: Come Bhanu! Seeing you after a long time. How are you?

Bhanu: Fine aunty! Are you fine everyone?

Dad and Mom: Yeah, obviously!

Dad: So, you are Bhanumati. However, I am meeting you the first time, we have often talked about you. How are your parents?

Bhanu: (Smilingly) Absolutely happy and fine.

Dad: Nice! And how is Agastya? Now, we have to ask you of his wellness indeed. Ain't I right?

Bhanu: (offended) True, uncle! After the long night of secrets of preparedness, it's the sun that exhibits the actual truth the next morning!

Mom: How are your studies going on Bhanu?

Bhanu: Very well, aunty. I am very confident of being a true student first time in life during the graduation.

Dad: Vikram College has its aroma smitten all over the land of Bharata. Gurudev Prashant has been carrying out the functions as per the rich traditions and ethos of the institution.

Bhanu: Agastya is his favourite student, uncle. On his suggestion, the college has initiated several new policies to felicitate the journey of gaining education.

Dad: Oh really! May I know some of them?

Bhanu: Yes! We recently took part in the presentation exams that was his idea of skilling the students. In our written exams, a subjective but out of syllabus long question has been brought in question modeling. Further, the answer is calculated on the basis of student's personal attitude and the best answer is clipped to the notice board and sent as editorials to the national newspaper agencies. Agastya and I am fortunate to have written articles to the Times Express and Bharata Vision newspaper. Not only this, he has also submitted new models of classrooms for the college that none other than me and him is ware of in the college. Your son is brilliant beyond one's expectations, uncle.

(Bhanu and mom had pride on their face.)

Dad: Nice to hear that! It's true that his brilliance is beyond expectations. And that's the major problem. Do you know why?

Bhanu: (hurt) On Agastya's behalf, I'd hear you what you wish to say, uncle.

Dad: He is very clear to everyone, you know. And people love confusion, mostly in your age, because it brings excitement to you. When people face such clarity, they get offended and agitated. I fear of that annoyance and its aftermath on the pure soul. After all this, the world will continue to rotate on it's own axis.

Rudra: We are happy that he is doing better for himself and others but being his guardian, we fear of his security yet can't support him for he has taken a path swayed off the family's goal.

Bhanu: No, brother. No goal can be different than his vision in life. His all-embracing philosophy of livelihood leaves no nook and corner of our society to flourish. I am saddened by the fact that despite living with the genius for more than fifteen years, you never understood him. Perhaps, you had no such experience where you needed him by your side or you were adamant of being the elder.

Dad: Don't teach us about Agastya. We know him better than you and truly speaking, it would be better for you to leave him now, else he will leave you sometime near in the future. He persuades everyone to be his side and once his motive is achieved, he is off the sight. He is stubborn and very cunning.

Bhanu: Enough of your accusations! I am hearing you for you are father of Agastya. Give an example to what you said.

Dad: Until and unless he required our support to prosper, he persuaded all of us and achieved what he wished for. When he stepped his foot on such walks of life that disturbs the family and I complained him of it, he moved out leaving the family. Didn't he tell you about this? Oh! He must have wept of his own complusions.

Bhanu: So uncle, you and your other three sons are not capable of following the family principles without his help! Or, you are all jealous of what he has achieved earlier than you! I have heard people gossiping about him in this town. People are proud of him. In my view, this family has earned reputation out of his struggles.

Bhargava: Don't brag about Agastya! Ms. Bhanumati, for you are a law student, it's your attitude to mentally overpower others but politics has no face yet it mentally, financially and physically overpowers the whole of its arena. Whether it's our family or yours, we earn a living out of our business or profession and we have no such history of administering the units of a political nation. If he confines himself to being a lawyer and promotes himself in the sector, it's fine but if he continues to involve into the governance, we can't hope of having him in the family.

Bhanu: I understand what you say, brother Bhargava. But, you all have a depth of understanding the society and politics and not Agastya. You have no idea who he is!

Hemanta: Tell us then. Define Agastya other than what we have understood him of.

Bhanu: I will definitely fulfill your wish. Let me come back.

(Bhanu returned to her home and messaged Soumya, Divya, Shubham, Kusum, Sumati, Dakshit, Dikshita, Aisha, Mr. Jayvardhan, Gurudev Prashant, Mukul, Jaidev and Jagriti, a long text asking them to give opinions on me. She mentioned why it was required for making my family realise my worth.)

Three days later, Soumya called me:

Soumya: Good morning mamu! How are you?

Me: Good morning love! I am fine but you don't seem so.

Soumya: Yeah, mama! Bored of this monotoned life. Eat, work, study and sleep. Mom is calling home to attend Rudra mama's wedding but I wanna a break from all this. Can you take me on a ride?

Me: I too wish the same Disha. While Bhanu is spending her vacations at home, I am here alone. Thank you for calling me dear. Send me your address and I will pick you there.

Soumya: Thank you mama. (a minute pause) I have sent you my location mama. You may see it. When are you coming?

Me: Right now.

Soumya: I will get ready then.

After the journey of about two and half hours:

Soumya: (hugging me) Thank you so much mama!

Me: Come, let's go on a ride off any destination.

Soumya: I am too excited.

After two hours of travel...

Soumya: Mama!

Me: Hmm?

Soumya: There's one more reason to call you.

Me: Uh-uh! It must be connected to my family and Bhanu. Is it?

Soumya: Yeah, mama! Do you know what happened last days?

Me: A few days back when Bhanu visited my home, she had a discussion with dad on me.

Soumya: Yea! And after that?

Me: What so happened after that you are worried of?

Soumya: No, it's not a worrisome matter but you must know. Bhanu messaged me, Divya, Aisha, Dakshit, Dikshita, Jayvardhan sir, your principal, your team Utkarsha to draw opinions on you. She wanted to make your family realise of your worth on purpose. And this rose a heavy dissent and factions in your family.

Me: Is it? Let's talk over a coffee.

(Entered a restaurant named 'Black Castle', on the banks of Ganges)

Soumya: It was day before yester when Bhanu visited your home again and uttered all what we had opined about you.

(Flashback...)

Bhanu: Uncle! Listen to Mr. Jayvardhan, dean of Marwar College, opinion on who Agastya is. ''He who has faith in worship, mercy in karma, truthfulness in speech, kindness in behaviour, discretion in thought, force in action and precision in swift; he who is bona fide character of one's kind is your youngest son Agastya. It's what I have known about him on my capacity.'' Now, listen to Dakshit and Dikshita, the owners of Vastra.com, opinion on Agastya, ''He who is benevolent, curious, patient, revolutionary, tolerant, wise and young is Agastya. We can't guess how does he manage to be so multi-talented and always succeeding but he is worthy to be worshipped of. We are fortunate to have Agastya as our friend and as the world says, if someday he moves out on his vision away from us, it will be our destiny of separation or shall we follow him in his journey. But, we are sure that he won't leave us unprepared of the way ahead.'' Let me tell you about Sumati's opinion, mayor of the Jaigarh district, on Agastya, ''He is astute and shrewd. His perceptions and philosophy in life can be obnoxious to those who have no self-respect. In this age, if someone doesn't get opportunity to meet him, s/he is unlucky and if someone assumes him as his foe or doesn't realise his worth, s/he is a fool.'' Jaidev, sarpanch of Dugdhu village, Mukul, Jagriti (members of Utkarsha) say, ''Agastya is our leader. Not only us, but a leader is Agastya. He who takes care of his followers and revitalizes their viva for the assumed goal everytime they fall behind, he who inspects what good or bad is going into anyone's life and he who believes oneself liable to the benefiteers for any mistakes done by people following him is a benevolent guy. He is so charming and intelligent that if he wishes, he can enjoy his whole life easily but who can devote his life for welfare of human kind is a guy in millions. Agastya is that man!''

Moreover, what Gurudev Prashant speaks about Agastya is, ''He who is bereft of lust, anger, adornments, admiration, doziness and servile in his attitude is a genuine student. In today's world, despite I have seen a lot of geniuses but Agastya is par excellence. As a professor, I mustn't brag about my pupil but it's an irony that Rama, in this yuga, is not from the Suryavanshi clan. I repeat what my Acharya Vaikuntha once said to me 'A system is not what you have dreamt of to be but it is the optimum of what you can draw of what you have'.'' Aisha, owner of Roopasthali company, says, ''As the RBB is bank of all banks, Agastya is the end you meet whichever way one prefers to go. So, acceptance of his superiority doesn't make anyone inferior as he never lets his beloved fall down. I have no words to describe his qualities for his radiance is to be felt rather than understood.'' Shubham, my brother, says, ''Agastya is cunning, coercive, persuasive, proudy, woman admirer and a cheater. For anyone who wishes to outsmart Agastya, destiny outsmarts him/her. It's okay to have own goal or ethics of life but you can't escape the spell of time.'' Uncle, you are wise and your sons are too. Agastya loves you all and you can be his strength in his vision. It's on you to discrete and decide.

Dad: (turning towards my brothers) What do you think? Is it true whatever she said just now? Has our Agastya turned so wise and radiant?

Rudra: Maybe but still he has to follow what we say. Family is our priority and not him. Grandparents are to be followed and after them, you are to be followed but not him. A lot of probabilities maybe waiting in his future but if he wants us by his side, he has to come back to his family.

Hemanta: Dad! Will he able to run our family? If he accepts to be the supervisor of family, we will accept him.

Bhargava: He won't. He doesn't need to. Perhaps, you didn't hear the names actually. His aura is such that either people accept him or fearfully follow him.

Mom: What wrong has Agastya done to us? He has suffered because of us. He is still suffering on his journey. You all seem to be adamant of your age.

Grandpa: He is living his life on his own. That's fine. Until and unless I am alive, I won't accept any of yours' superiority over me or the family and if you people want to follow him, you all may go. I don't care. And you Bhanumati, tell the world who Agastya is and the world will learn where he is from. (To dad) We have only ten days left for the marriage so, leave everything aside and focus on the ceremony. (To Bhanumati) Please attend the wedding. Thank you!

Bhanu: Greetings Grandpa! (And she left)

At the cafe:

Soumya: Bhanu was angry over your self-obsessed family.

Me: Why should anyone be angry? I don't have to make choices in between my family or Bhanu or anyone else. Disha! People choose me, I don't choose any. Whoever chooses me, I have place for him/her in my heart and lead him/her to right destination, away from the shackles of life.

Soumya: When Bhanu asked me about you, I said the same. And Divya too. Still, if your family accepted your vision, it would be better.

Me: My family is always with me. They support me or they put obstacles in my journey, either way they are helping me to march ahead.

Soumya: As a well wisher, I advise you not to be overbearing of your capacity mama. You have dignity in life and it will force you not to go against your family. Or if you do so, I fear the history of Krishna clan may repeat in our families. Mama, try to understand.

Me: A few minutes ago, you told me about the opinions of the leaders of today's society on me. If history reiterates, it will be the battle of Mahabharata. But I am not worried of it. Let's go now.

Soumya: (During the journey) When shall it end?

Me: In conclusion, what do you want in life?

Soumya: Happiness! Enough to shower on my family. It's possible only when I am wealthy and respectable. With short and certain differences, everyone in life wants the same. So do I and so do you.

Me: (smilingly) Dehradun is only five kilometres away. You just said that I want happiness in life.

Soumya: Obviously! What else than being happy can one think of?

Me: Love for all! I may be anguished but I am never sad.

Once that was a retirement haven, today it buzzes with excitement in its laid-back vibe. Quaint cafes and lounges rub shoulders with rich heritage monuments and bazaars. At the foothills of mountains and surrounded by lush sal forests, Dehradun is known for its pleasant year-round weather and scenic surroundings. We visited the six sided ghanta ghar clock tower, the Paltan bazaar, a grooming place for visitors and the Race Course.

Me: Soumya! It's six in the evening now. If we return now, we will reach by eleven. Or, you may take leave for tomorrow if you want to explore the valley.

Soumya: No mama! One day is not enough to explore Dehradun. We didn't come here on purpose so, we must return now.

Me: As you wish.

Soumya: (during the journey) Mama! So far I know you, you do nothing without purpose. What was your purpose of visiting Dehradun?

I kept smiling.

Soumya: Tell me mama! Please!

Me: What did you learn in this journey Disha? I can tell you everything in concise or precise but you should be ready to analyse my words and deeds. Take your time!

(Soumya had a call from her mom. On a conversation with her and Divya, she learnt what had happened during the day when sister Vinita and Divya visited my home. it was the occasion of Ganesh pujan when the attendees gossiped about me and laughed on my family. On the bank of Ganges at Hrishikesh, I took a pause when Soumya informed Vinita about our return. Vinita told me about a dozen of my misangled photos that were a matter of discord between the family members. A photoshopped picture too came into public where a man in the fog (supposed as me) has a gun in his hand pointing to someone.)

Vinita: (weeping and trembling) People say that it was you who shot the man Visvarak in the court premises. The man in picture is you. I don't know about the fact but people have started expressing their hate towards all of us. You have put all of us in trouble Agastya. You may disprove this in the court but we are bound to be rejected and misbehaved. You have ruined our image.

Me: Who showed it to you?

Vinita: It's viral on the internet. A few hours ago, it has been uploaded on every social media platform. The name is not known. People say that you have been outcasted by family for the said cause. We are accused of not displaying the truth for our self-respect. We fear that your brother's marriage may get broken because of it. It's a grave situation that you have brought all of us into.

Me: Cool down jiji. Please, cool down. Let me drop Soumya at her P.G. and return to Jaigarh. I will think about it. Take care!

Soumya: Mom must be telling about that morphed photo, right? God knows if it was morphed.

Me: No, it's not. The court punished Visvarak for what he did in the past and I punished him for his misconduct at the court. It was justiciable or he would have hurt innocent people for no reason. Despite it was all hidden in the smoke, but I shot his head twice and killed him. Still, neither you nor anyone else has any proof against me. Even if any witness or proof is born, I will be happy to handover myself to justice. Such paralysed mindsets like him are to be swept away for the welfare of this world. If he was alive, he would become the minister and imagine what kind of state would he create in his regime. It was a preventive action and I am proud to have done it. If you wish, you may go and tell it to the one you like.

Soumya: (With eyes wide open) And what about us?

Me: Raise your standard! If you all join me, half of the people will come to you for help and half of them will fearfully keep them aside of the fact. I will use my forces with discretion and do what will benefit the most. It's good to leave one for family; it's better to leave family for the society and it's best to leave the society for the nation. And for one's own welfare, one should leave the worldly affairs.

Soumya: I can't imagine when and how you became so fearless mama.

Me: My child, Disha! It's love that makes you fearless. You never anticipate results rather you keep doing that what is necessary for the one or more you love.

Soumya: Mama! I want spend this night with you under an open sky. Please stop the car!

(I stopped the car in the doab region of Yamuna and Ganga rivers in the district of Sarwat. The surrounding areas were the silent open fields. During night, either the cold waves of the winds or the swift pace of the vehicles could be heard.)

After an hour of gazing into the sky resting on my laps:

Soumya: Mama! I wanna hear that lullaby and sleep here.

Me: Yes! My princess!

At four o'clock in the morning, I got up and carried Soumya into the car. Around seven, Soumya rose while I stopped the car at her P.G. premises.

Soumya: Is it my P.G.?

Me: Yeah!

Soumya: (after a long silence) Thank you so much for yesterday mama! (Kissed my cheek) Love you!

Me: I love you too, honey! Take care!

I took my car to the carbikemovers.com agency to shift my car to Jaigarh on train and booked the ticket. Then, I moved to the airport and booked a ticket for myself to Jaigarh. When I landed at the Jaigarh airport, Inspector Jayant was waiting for me at exit gate. As I came out, he cuffed my hands as per my plan. On state of doubt, Inspector took me to police station where I stayed for the day. By evening, the court passed its order that it had no proof to arrest me as the photo was not clear of face and the background and neither it depicted Visvarak there.

Me: Thank you inspector. If you had not warned me of Srinivasa' plan to kill me in an accident, I would not have shifted my car on train and flew here on plane.

Inspector: Agastya! Why did you arrest yourself and create all this scenario?

Me: For multi purposes. But the major one is to have my family and others decided of their paths. Either they follow and support me now or they accept me at the end.

Sub- inspector (at the police station): Sir, It's reported from Krishna Nagar Police Station that Gajnesh has been arrested and he has accepted his crime of fraud and kidnapping. The case of Imaze Landmarks vs. State of Hariyan has reopened and the court will give justice to the firm and its share holders.

Inspector: Nice!

Me: Thank you sir. Let me take leave now.

Inspector: Yes, please! (After I left) Sikka! Despite being a student, he is very cunning and daring!

Sub-Inspector: Yes, sir! But, he is good boy. Well-spoken, well-behaved and a scholar of many subjects. If he becomes the governor as he dreams of, I will feel pride to be in his service.

Inspector: Hmm. What's your progress on the child Yusuf's case?

I booked an auto to my room. I messaged Bhanu on my arrival when she called me in reply.

Bhanu: (over the call) Agastya, Hello!

Me: Hi Bhanu! How are your vacations going at home? How is the weather?

Bhanu: It's too cold here. But I am having fun. How was your trip with Soumya?

Me: Awesome! Dehradun is a lovely place to visit. We may visit it together some day.

Bhanu: OMG! You went on a long drive to Dehradun! You must be tired of driving so long then.

Me: Umm. Yeah! Through the holy places Haridwar and Hrishikesh. No, not so tired but if you were here now, I would have slept on your laps.

Bhanu: (feeling shy) You know, when I go to bed, I miss your strong arms. I am not liking these soft cushions.

Me: Hmm. What's missing in my brother's marriage preparations?

Bhanu: (On a serious note) Agastya, people are gossiping about you that you are a murderer. Some have accused you of killing Visvarak. This has become a serious issue for both families. But those who have faith in you are arguing that such pictures are photoshopped and those who are jealous of your progress have created it. Until any further news is entertained, no progress will be done on both sides.

Me: Hmm. What's my family's take on the picture?

Bhanu: The elders are mostly silent over your political face. But the juniors, I mean your brothers and sisters, argue on your side. Vinita jiji has put her efforts to disprove the accusation.

Me: Do you believe the experienced or the lovers and loyals?

Bhanu: Although the experience has its own truth, the world requires lovers and loyals to prosper and flourish. I have chosen you as my life partner Agastya. I don't need to choose any other.

Me: Thank you Bhanu! It was Ganesh pujan today, right?

Bhanu: Yeah!

Me: Lord Ganesha will obviously reward everyone's faith. Wait for the dawn! Good night!

Bhanu: Hope so Agastya. Good night.

The next morning newspaper dictated about my last days' detention and the judgement order passed by the court. It said that an anonymous guy, in revenge with me, morphed a picture with my image and tried to ruin my identity and respect but the doubts and accusations on me were false and baseless. However it remains unknown of the fact that who killed Visvarak but the general public thanks him for his bravery. Having read this, Vinita jiji called me while I was having breakfast.

(On call)

Vinita: Hello Agastya. I am sorry my brother. I don't know why I behaved so cowardly yesterday and blamed you for having our reputation at stake. I must have understood that people, who are below you, always try to pull your leg and none can stop them. After reading today's newspaper, I realised that my brother was always a hero so, how could he act unwise. Forgive me Agastya.

Me: Jiji! You didn't do anything wrong. It's your right of scolding me or venting your anger on me for I know you love me alot. You are elder than me and moreover, you are my ideal. I didn't mind any harsh words from you. It was just the troublemaker Lord Ganesha's ploy and see, the convergent thinker Lord Ganesha solved it. Everyone is rewarded of his/her faith.

Vinita: So pleasing! You heard criticisms for yourself and kept silence. Then, you softly educated to erase our misunderstanding. O'little one! You are my eldest son now onwards. Even the scriptures say that youngest brother is alike son. So, I accept you as my son Agastya!

Me: (with single drops of tears flowing down my cheeks) Maa!

(Years ago, I prayed to Lord Hari to let me establish the relation of mother and son between me and jiji. For the first time, I was HAPPY. I felt like happiness too can be merrier than love. And if that feeling was happiness, I vowed myself to accept the sad facets in life as they come.)

Vinita: Yes! My son! I am going to announce it to everyone.

The cries of that pure soul left every stones to melt down and entitle her as my mother. I was given a new name 'Viniteya'.

(The news of arresting Gajnesh and acquittal of the shareholders of Imaze Landmarks left no bounds to Jagriti's happiness. She rushed to meet me and arrived at the moment.)

Jagriti: AGASTYA! We have won the case! I am so happy today. It's been four years of our struggle to solve the case and we did it against the state of Hariyan. Only one year left of our LL.B. and then, I will rejoin the company.

Me: Congratulations! Struggles must be rewarded. Every company needs employees like you who are loyal and progressive.

Jagriti: It was not possible without you Agastya. That's why I have come here. I wanna thank you for all that you done for me and the company. Can I hug you once?

Me: Come!

Jagriti: (while hugging) THANK YOU AGASTYA! I don't know how can I repay you.

Me: You don't need to, Jagriti. I have just done that a friend should have done. It was your decision to fight for your company, study law and befriend me before we met each other. So, you reap what you harvest!

Jagriti: Yeah but still, tell me if I can help you anyway. What's your plan after this year?

Me: If you insist, I have a vision to accomplish. But the major problem is inertia among people. We have to handle this organisational inertia.

Jagriti: Organisational Inertia? I have heard this team for the first time. Please explain.

Me: People want to bring change in their life. Everyone wants to grow but they do not want to struggle. A seed becomes a sapling and then a plant only when it struggles itself through the soil and other resistances. Democracy in our nation has failed because of this attitudinal default. Until and unless one has no authority and power, s/he clamours for democratic governance and when provided with rights and powers, s/he behaves autocratic. Everyone knows about the existential truth i.e. birth and death but still dualism rules over their mindsets. It's not for one but almost all. Family, relatives, friends, love, careers, relationships and sex have been defined in so many ways and words. We read them everyday on the internet, no? So many influencers have born out of this talk but do you see any visible effect? Only thing that's visible is being an influencer has become new business or mode of earning. Just to keep oneself protected from any kind of losses, s/he forgets who s/he is and may accept any kind of theory for safely living the present.

Jagriti: This is the way people are. Our ancestors were brave and ideal characters but not our parents.

Me: Hahaha! Let's go to college!

Jagriti: Now, why? Who will we meet there?

Me: Gurudev!

Jagriti: Anything important?

Me: Highly significant for all! Come, you will understand gradually.

Jagriti: Umm. Ok!

(We reached to college. I urged Mr. Shaunak to schedule my meeting with Gurudev. He entered the office and informed about our arrival for an important matter. Gurudev asked us to wait.)

After two hours...

Shaunak: You are permitted to meet him. Please come.

Me: Thank you sir.

(Entering the office)

Me and Jagriti: Pranam Gurudev!

Gurudev: Shubham Bhavatu! Jagriti! What has called you here? Are you here to inform he about the acquittal of shareholders of Imaze Landmarks? Congratulations on this landmark victory!

Jagriti: Thank you Gurudev! (confused) But, I am here to.... Actually, Agastya has brought me here Gurudev.

Gurudev: I know. He doesn't come and/or go anywhere without purpose. Please, take the seats.

Me: Gurudev! One more batch has completed its journey of graduation and post-graduation courses in this college. The college, as always, will conduct its convocation ceremony on the day of Basanta Panchami and wish all of them a great future ahead. It's democratic nation so, everyone has right to follow his/here vision and passion. And so they will do. But, the college has one more job to do. We, their immediate successors in this college, have will to learn from them and wish for their better future too.

Gurudev: Wait! You just said the college has something more to do for the graduates than convocating them! What do you mean?

Me: Yes, Gurudev! The students chose their fields of studies when they entered the college. But the college is obliged to instill itself in every student. I mean to say that a student, after his convocation, should keep in mind the soul of knowledge just like our makers of constitution anticipated of interpreting the Constitution on the basis of its Preamble. It's the duty of the professors to direct the application of knowledge they passed on to their students.

Gurudev: Okay!

Me: We, the new final year students, wish that when we, in future, will follow our career shall we meet our superiors guiding and supporting us as like here in the college. Let the pupils of Vikram College follow its tradition of living its name. And it's not necessary to tell you who a Vikram is!

Gurudev: Yeah, I understand it very well. It's thoughtful of you Agastya. I shall discuss it with our board committee and the notice shall be attached on the board. Jagriti! Do you have to say anything?

Jagriti: I am trying to understand Gurudev.

Me: Gurudev, she is thinking of the alumni. Aren't you, Jagriti?

Gurudev: Okay, if the motion is passed, we shall invite the alumni and our respected mayor too. Is it fine Jagriti?

Jagriti: Yes, sir. May we take leave, Gurudev?

Gurudev: You may.

(I and Jagriti moved out of the office. She was trying to make connection in between the conversations at room and at the office.)

Me: (while riding auto) Where have you lost Jagriti?

Jagriti: What will we wish for our seniors, Agastya? I am not getting you.

Me: Simple. I said in the office too. We will wish that our seniors may apply their knowledge and skill into the welfare of society and growth of our nation.

Jagriti: But, that's implicit notion to be understood.

Me: Yes. And I will explicitly state it. Because, people don't follow implicit truths and that's why people like us viz Lawyers, are often called at homes nowadays.

Jagriti: Don't you want to be a lawyer? Why are you repeatedly challenging its worth?

Me: I am not challenging the worth of a lawyer rather I am promoting the laws and ethics of our nation. I never censure anyone or anything but a cursed life is condemnable.

Jagriti: A cursed life means?

Me: When mind is governed by arrogance, anger, lust, greed, self-doubt, fear, envy, grudge and on will of others, I define it a cursed life. And that's derogatory.

Jagriti: When shall Bhanu return? I am missing her now.

(Laughs)
