I guess I'll head to my next class, I can't believe I broke through, external ki, external ki yes yes yes yes yeahhhhhhhhhhh.
Damon suddenly yelled while jumping and running wildly after all that happened, the realization of him being able to use his ki externally had finally hit him and he was now so hype.
he started bobbing and weaving throwing punches in the air with a wide smile until he noticed something.
as he threw punches he intended to add ki into his strikes, but there was nothing.
"wait my ki, I can barely feel it, what's going on he questioned himself.
A pain surges through his head dropping him on his knees,arrrrrg ! he moans in agony.
"Damon stop this you don't understand, I'm a ki user also".
the pain subsides and he manages to get to his feet.
" that's right, miss grey did say that. she's a ki user as well, she has to have some type of answers he inwardly says.
as Damon walked down the hall his mind was everywhere. he had so many questions.
I've been practicing using ki since the age of twelve. focusing it by meditation and I've never been able to do anything like that, he thought to himself.
Damon always was able to feel his ki and use it internally, he was never able to see it and manipulate it into an element" or physical form.
so now he began to wonder if ki was similar to mana, being based on elements of the world. he thought it was just life energy used to enhance your body.
Damon hated being in the dark about things and not fully knowing.
he continued to walk when a voice was heard in the distance.
"yo Damon, you ok " a young male voice says while peaking his head from around the corner of the next hallway.
the silver straight hair handsome boy strolled up to Damon.
"Jolly !
"what are you doing out in the hall" Damon asks with a puzzled face.
"waiting on you, I was told you were released from the nurse station"
"how? it was literally less than 5 minutes ago" Damon said with a confused face.
"I have my connections"Jolly laughs and casually says. "so you okay or what he asks once more?
"yeah I'm fine I guess" Damon responded.
"well good jolly also responded.
"thanks jolly you've had my back for a while" he says while giving him a fist bump.
"yeah I damn sure have, so why didn't you tell me, your best friend, the guy that has your back, that you could manipulate your ki like that into a physical form jolly blurts out in a serious tone. "I thought you said it was just used to enhance strength or some shit" jolly adds while holding the posture of a dad that's getting on to his child.
"wait, hold on Jolly I have no clue about what I did back there either. he says shaking his head with confusion written on his face "I told you already, my father only taught me the first steps of using ki, other than that I'm just as lost as you, I just tried something and boom, my mind went dark and there was this small orb the size of a marble in my head I know,I know, crazy right.
Jolly stops walking with a puzzle look while looking at Damon up and down then looks him in the eyes with a hard stare.
"dude you ok, why are you looking at me like that "Damon says in anticipation.
"well that's not it "Jolly says
"what are you talking about"
"all awakened souls have a soul core, mana core or ability core it's where our mana, ability and soul beast resides" did you forget jolly asks with a contemplative look.
"this orb you speak of sounds similar to an awakened core, but I still don't sense any soul energy coming from you so you're still not Awakened. "and it's not an ability either because awakened mana cores and awakened ability cores give off somewhat similar energies.
hmmm! jolly mumbles to himself.
"ki core is what we are calling it, soooooo let's seeeeeee " jolly says while squinting his eyes with his lips and eyebrows pushed up while walking.
"so there are ability cores,mana cores and now ki cores. " we have to figure out the full differences between them I believe to know more because they may be more similar than we think.
" what else did you see" jolly asks.
"well the dark mist/smoke stuff and electrical current you seen on the dagger I threw was inside the orb. " it was strange, I could feel it as if it was an extension of my body"
" wait I got it " jolly says in excitement.
"The soul core, it's the soul core remember?. he asked Damon. " the reason I can't sense that you have awakened is because you don't have a soul core and with a soul core comes a soul beast my friend jolly says brimming in confidence. so in actuality you still aren't an awakened soul" he continues.
" no soul beast equals no awakened soul" he also adds.
"hmmm now that you mention that I believe you're right"
"oh I know I'm right we learned it in class he says. " you know, you should really start paying attention to school more, well then again I guess it's too late for that with tomorrow being the last day and all he also includes.
" I do pay attention, that particular thing just slipped my mind is all. I do have a lot going on ya know Damon says back.
" yea yea I know bro, but hey to see the physical matter of an element like actual clouds/smoke whatever that black misty substance was and actual lighting in a visual perspective inside your core is awesome.
" I know you said you don't know how you did it and all but I say, jolly says with a long pause..... Keep doing whatever the hell you doing bro, obviously you've done something right he says with an excited tone and bright smile. while pumping his fists and encouraging Damon to give him a high five" That was a crazy attack you pulled back there and looked to be pretty strong. I know it was a serious moment and all, but maaaaannnnn! "I enjoyed every bit of of fear you put on that pretty boy bitch face he says while making the same horror/panicked face taylen made back in the classroom.

They both laughed until their ribs started hurting, with their hands on their knees bending over and back up trying to keep their original posture while laughing so hard.
" yea man" Damon says while finally catching his breath a bit and calming down his laughter. " I seen his face for a few seconds it was priceless he says while chuckling more.
Ahh man! he exclams while grabbing his forehead. a dull pain racks his head again.
" you ok" Jolly asks while seeing Damon grab the forefront of his head.
"yea I'm fine, I think I overdid it earlier with that attack and going berserk trying to kill miss grey and all" Damon says so causally not thinking.
Jolly stopped dead in his tracks with his mouth wide open and his eyes bucked shot in disbelief. " you tried to do what " he shouts without knowing he shouted.
"I tried to kill miss grey he repeated. " now come on let's get to class I'll explain everything later."
it took a few seconds for the information jolly received to register, but he soon shook off the shocked feeling." well it's actually lunch time now Damon.
A few seconds later students poured into the hall headed to lunch.
" well I'll see you at lunch I have to run a few errands first jolly said while walking away. " oh wait here you go. jolly quickly reaches into a small pouch which was a small dimensional storage and tossed Damon a pair of boots, almost hitting a red hair girl who ducked at the right moment avoiding the pair of soaring boots.
" they might be tight on your feet but they should get you through the day jolly shouts while turning around laughing and continuing down the hall.
"well I'll be" Damon thought after catching the boots and looking down at his feet. this entire time Damon just noticed he was still missing one of his boots. his mind was so conflicted with everything that it didn't register to him.
"ummm those are a bit too small for you aren't they" a nice gentle voice spoke. the red haired girl that ducked a few seconds ago was standing in front of him looking at his feet and the boots in his hand.
"uhhh yea,but I guess they're better than nothing. "yes that is true she responded while looking up staring into Damon's eyes with a smile which made him a bit confused and uncomfortable.
Damon chokes up a bit being caught off guard with the way the young girl stared at him, but eventually speaks. " you're uhhh uhhhh.....uhhhh. " Alice, my name is Alice " she says. " right, right I knew that he says while scratching the back of his head adding a slight smile. " you're in my last class right he asked. "yes, and you should put on those boots she said while looking at his feet again.
"oh right, yea I guess I should.
internally Damon was a bit nervous, not many people spoke to him besides jolly and he practically ignored and did his very best to stay out of everyone's way. he would occasionally talk to others if he was spoken to,but it didn't happen often. his social skills were seriously lacking. it didn't bother him because he liked being the laid back quiet type. He knew everyone his age and in his classes. over the years the only thing he did was observe people and their actions. He knew the girl Alice to be very popular, but also a bit quiet herself. unlike a few others in school she had never treated him in any unfair way despite her popularity.
not knowing how to really socialize Damon puts on his boots and somewhat rudely starts walking away without saying another word. he felt he should at least say see ya later or something, but nothing came out of his mouth and instead his body just began to move like he was in danger or something.
"Damon, the dinning hall is this way " Alice calls out.
" uhhhh yea I know, but I'm not that hungry so I'm going to check on a few things" Damon manages to say. " ok I guess I'll see you in beast class later then" she says. He says nothing and puts up a hand gesture resembling a slight wave while never looking back.
the gears in his head were turning once again. I wonder what she's up to, she hasn't talked to me before other than glancing at me in class here and there over the years. what the hell is going on today he inwardly says to himself.
Arriving at his destination Damon took a few deep breaths and knocked on a door. "come in please a female voice resounded.
