We looked at Eris, expecting her to tell us her suggestion for a name.
"Well then tell us." Lambda said, growing impatient.
"How about you guys say your suggestions first."
"DON'T LEAVE US ON A CLIFFHANGER HERE!" Lambda exclaimed.
I had other things on my mind such as the fact that a child we have found in the middle of the forest calls me "father".
I came out here to the forest to meet up with someone, not to become a parent. Lambda on the other doesn't seem to be that much affected by this. It seems as if she doesn't mind being a parent.
Thoughts and questions coursed through my mind. I was stunned at the fact I now had a child. Although I look around sixteen, I was much older than that. I am around a million years old but only now does a child call me father.
"So Lexus what do you think?"
"What?" I said as I was completely interrupted from my thoughts by Eris.
"A name."
"Oh." I said as I thought of a name. "How about Luther?"
"Luther?" Lambda said with a confused expression on her face.
"Yeah."
Only a handful of people knew the true origins of the name 'Luther' so it wouldn't be a common name but it wouldn't raise any suspicions. The name is as normal as names come.
"So his name's now Luther Alma Arnoux." Lambda said.
"Or it could be Luther Novel Laurier." Eris suggested.
"I think Luther Almas Laurier is better."
"Actually I want to go with Eris's idea."
"Luther Novel Laurier. Not bad I guess."
"It sounds perfect to me."
"Is no one going to question why we have a child in the first place?" I said to myself knowing if I said it aloud it would only destroy this moment for everyone. "I'm already thinking like a married man."
Luther then let go of my hand then brought his arms in front of him. He then separated his arms but nothing happened.
We looked in confusion but our questions were soon answered. The ground split with a narrow hole increasing in size as it continued to go to the end of the forest.
Luther then snapped his fingers and the ground's hole closed. The trees then grew back and all the beasts were brought back to life. This child in front of us is the reason for the forest, not Lambda.
Luther then looked back at us almost looking for approval but multiple expressions were painted on our faces.
This child seems like he could be of some use after all. To be able to control every beast here he must be at least High Complex Akyros rank.
"Are you the guardian of this forest?" I asked Luther.
"Yes!" Luther said with a large smile on his face.
"WHAT!" Eris exclaimed after hearing that a mere child is the guardian of one of the largest forests in the cosmos which houses some of the most powerful beasts ever to exist.
"How strong are you Luther?" Lambda asked with a perplexed face.
"In my current state, I'm around the Complex Akyros rank."
"Your current state?" I said.
"Yes." Luther replied as if it was common knowledge. "I was much stronger."
"You was stronger? When?" Lambda asked.
"I…don't know." Luther said as he looked into the distance as if trying to remember something.
I had some ideas on how this could be explained but no evidence to confirm it. This wasn't something that happened every day; meeting the guardian of the strongest beasts.
My top priority wasn't Luther at the moment, I had greater plans which could change the course of fate if I do it wrong.
"Luther, could you locate anyone's coordinates in this forest?" Eris asked.
"Of course, I can; it's my forest. You cannot because I have nullified all magic for everything even the beasts for this day. I only allowed father and mother to use magic."
"WHY NOT ME?!"
"Eris calm down." Lambda said as she held Eris.
"Did I do anything wrong?" Luther asked me.
"Crap! What do I say? Do I lie or do I say the truth?" I said to myself. "Luther, you did nothing wrong."
"NOTHING WRONG-" Eris was then stopped by the pure bloodlust from Lambda.
"Is there anyone apart from us in the forest?"
"There's a man in the center. Should I kill him?"
"No! Don't kill anyone Luther." Lambda commanded and Luther obeyed.
"She's already a mother." Eris said.
"Bring that man to us, Luther."
"Okay." Luther said as a man then appeared next to him.
It was the student whom I threatened before. He then recognised us and he immediately tried to run. He ran as fast as he could but it was useless.
I put my arm in front of me and tilted my hand about 140°. It then looked as if the man run backward, toward us. Time was reversed but it only applied to the man, not to anything else.
"Don't you dare run."
The man shivered in fear as cold sweat dripped off from his forehead. The man didn't turn his head or move his body. He just stood there in fear.
I then proceeded to walk towards him with my hands in my pockets. With every step, he moved but only by a little. His muscles twitched with every step I took.
Now I was in front of him. I watched his eyes close with a drop of a tear trickling down his cheeks. He opened his eyes and saw me looking at him.
"Where is it?"
"I'll take you there." He said with a shaky voice.
We followed him but with caution. He walked us into the forest. We went deeper and deeper into the forest and now the sky darkened. Twilight was upon us now. The sky turned a dark purple and everything around us wasn't visible. We could only see the silhouette of the trees and plants.
"Who are the people in the trees?"
The man whipped his head around with a smile. His smile grew larger and larger. His psychotic smile of his was disturbing but his true goal was to kill us.
The people in the trees seemed to be assassins and skillful ones as well as they could hide their bloodlust. Their mana was completely hidden as if they had none and they were completely camouflaged with the trees and darkness.
"Luther, let them use magic."
"Okay, father."
In a blink of an eye, magic beams were shot at us. These assassins had mages as well. Not any normal mage but powerful ones but mere beings weren't enough for my death.
I didn't dodge the beams but I canceled them with my Anti-Magic. I brought my hands together and before they touched each other I separated them. The ground split and became uneven which then caused the assassins to be knocked out of their hiding places.
I snapped my fingers and the whole forest was now an empty landscape. There were no trees in sight and nowhere to hide.
The assassins rose to their feet while scratching their head as if confused. I split the ground with my arm and threw it into the air. The part of the ground soared through the air and left the planet's exosphere.
I snapped my fingers and we were now in space on the part of the ground that I ripped off.
I pointed my arm toward the assassins and they were frozen in their place. Then swords of different types stabbed each of them and exited their bodies from the other side. The swords then turned and did it again but entered from the assassin's back. The swords then continued this until there were multiple holes in the assassins.
I then snapped my fingers again and where the assassins' bodies lay, that part of the ground was broken off. I then used these and used an active skill I have, 'Mind Read:Level 4' which allows me to look through a person's memories and sent their bodies to their families. If their families were dead I simply brought them back alive and as they tried to figure out why they are still alive a body would come flying toward them.
It sickened me to do this but it was for a larger plan. A plan that would benefit us all.
I went back down to Lambda and the rest and as I did I remembered the last time I did that torture method. Remembering the past wasn't something that filled me with joy.
There was only regret.
"You're weaker." Lambda said almost surprised.
"I told you that so many times."
"Weaker? How strong were you before? Actually, don't answer that." Eris said.
"Is he still alive?"
"Yes father, I've kept him here." Luther said as a cage made from trees emerged from the ground.
"You've seen a sliver of my power so now don't try anything special." I warned the man while also threatening him, "Tell me where the Devil's Tomb is."
