Chapter 22 - Twenty One: Namjoon

The dorm is much to quiet. Where is everybody? "Joonie, you're back. Join us out back," Jimin said as he took something out of the refrigerator. I followed him into the backyard. The hyungs were bbqing outside. Jk's friend sat amongst them. "I'd like you to meet JJ (Dan's niece) and her friends: Soon ja and Britney," Jungkook introduced with a smile. I nodded at them. I would much rather like to be in my room. Alone. Thinking about her. "So, how was your date?" Daniel questioned, much to curious to my liking. It drew everyone's attention. This will most likely turn into an interrogation. Saved by the bell, I thought as the chimes acknowledged me that somebody's at the door. How many more people had they invited this evening? "I'll get it," I ask them as I turned around and made for the door. My heart sunk into my shoes when I saw her standing in front of me. Abby made her way pass me, leaving us behind. I looked down at her, swallowing heavily. "Hey," she greeted softly. A light candyfloss colour tinted her cheeks. I greeted her back. As much as I wanted to kiss her, I decided against it. I don't want to scare her away. I took hold of her hand and asked: "Would you like me to introduce you to the others?" She nodded in response.

I smiled broadly down at her as I pulled her behind me. Through the house and out the back door. "Hyungs, I'd like to meet somebody," I said as we joined the others outside. All eyes turned in our direction. "This is Samantha Jones. Sam meet the guys. From left to right: Jung Hoseok, Kim Taehyung, Jeon Jungkook, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi and Park Jimin," I introduced. "So you're the reason behind Joonie's... mood swings?" Tae asked carefully to my dismay. She laughed delightfully at his rhetorical remark. "Welcome, it's nice to finally meet you," Jimin said with a wide smile. That's just like him, always seeing the good in everything. As long as she's comfortable, I have no objections. Jimin wrapped his hand around her wrist and pulled her closer to the bonfire. I were forced to let go of her hand. Daniel shuffled to the side, giving her a place to sit. Allowing her to sit in between himself and Jimin. The only other open space is beside Hoseok. I looked at her, but I could tell by the way she looked at me that she'd much rather be sitting by my side. My heart cramps uncomfortably. Abby seemed to notice my discomfort. She stood up without question. "Sam you should sit here," she stated matter of factly. She nodded smilingly and made her way towards my side. As soon as she sat down, her hand folded softly around mine. I must be the luckiest man alive.
