"Wow....!" Dodo's tongue utter lousy after drinking almost three quarters of liquor from a bottle.
"I cannot believe what am believing right now," she speaks extravagantly on a very heavy tongue, grabbing onto the kitchen door for support as she walks out with a bottle in her right hand, containing the remaining amount of liquor.
"You have decided to waste your life drinking like a drunkard...., but why.... Dodo! Why did you decide not to fight for your love...! Dodo," she goes on speaking to herself walking unsteadily, grabbing on walls and surroundings, seeking support to maintain her body stamina.
"You sat down there and watched, moreover in support of Lala who snatched away your happiness," she speaks.
"Wow.... Dodo, don't be crazy to call yourself kind, you're just stupid...." she laughs loudly like a mad woman, "better not blame anyone over your weaknesses Dodo.... tell this to yourself a million times....," she pushes herself up the stairs, speaking words carelessly and laughing at herself, knocked unconscious by a liquor.
Zombies crowded looking thirsty, sky scraper buildings falling down in a slow motion. The whole city is on fire, expensive cars are all wasted on streets with most of them upside down. Everywhere looks deserted. In the basement of an undisclosed building, unstable lights blink on and off in corridors. Ten human beings trying to find their way out and at the same time seeking for survival as Zombies prey upon their warm blooded bodies one by one. A very high skilled and well equipped swardsman must protect them against these cannibals, who goes on slashing which ever Zombie walks their way with his two sharp blades on a terrible speed.
This three dimensions video game is too fantastic for Jack.
Heads and hands keep separating from the bodies of Zombies the more Jack moves his hands on the remote control buttons. "Who dare attacks me," he brags in maximum confidence.
Young Jack enjoys playing this 3D video game as the skilled machinery behind this avatar specially holding two sharp swards as its defense weapons, ruthlessly protecting innocent individuals against the deadly Zombies.
His headphones on, set in maximum volume. "Level seven is another tough one.... but still remain Jack the undefeated," he yells in unison.
"Obviously how I thought..." speaks Lala immediately after opening up the 'don't disturb' indicated door when knocks three consecutive times and her brother is not responding yet noise is heard inside. She grabs and takes the headphones off her young brother's head. "You don't even mind someone breaking into the house" in wonder she exclaims, "I warned you never to play headphones in a loud volume but you don't listen!"
Not rude but on a serious note, Lala talks to her young brother who is addicted to playing video games.
Jack turns his rotating chair around with his eyes widely open like an owl watching you. He starts rolls them in the sockets corner to corner on a guiltily looking face, avoiding to look her sister direct in the eyes.
"Am here to talk to you about some important matters," Lala tells her brother," positive and negative depending on how you're going to feel about it."
"He is a very wealthy man who loves us so much and would wishes to spend most of his time with us. His real name is Don.... you must learn to call him that name not Mr handsome Yang anymore," says Lala who is leaning her body by the side of the right upper arm against the wall near to his brother.
"Wow!" exclaims Jack. "You mean Don.... a friend to Auntie Dodo?!" Jack wonders in surprise accompanied by small laughters, making Lala's face to change drastically, also wondering about how he comes to know Don beyond the expected. "You mean you know about him?!" She asks this time standing properly away from the wall, releasing her folded hands curiously.
"Every day at the mansion I was eating a uniquely delicious tasting meal prepared by Auntie Dodo," As Jack stands up walking like aboss around, he says. "But she doesn't know how to cook!" speaks Lala inquisitively. "All the skills she was learning from her mobile phone on YouTube," Jack replies. "Let me tell you sister" he whispers to her like he is telling a fantasy movie he just watched from the cinema, "she never allowed any of the cook to cook any of my meals from breakfast, lunch and even dinner." Jack elaborates making his elder sister to becomes more attentively curious. "Why?" Asks Lala.
Jack continues his narration; "He is very handsome just like you.... but not eleven years like you, he is a man. I call him my baby though." "This is what auntie Dodo told me," Jack explains quoting Dodo's words.
"When I asked her why she cooks my meals differently with guidance from Youtube, those words above she told me," he confirms to his sister. Lala's facial expression says, "Am all ears... please beother don't stop continue telling me more."
"I asked auntie Dodo" Jack proceeds with a conversation like he's read the sign on his sister's face, "whether that person is as handsome as Mr handsome Yang and she told me she has never met him but maybe she will have to meet him first and compare. But her friend's name is Don. That's was her response," says Jack.
"She even said, since she was going to spend a lot of time with him, any dish she prepares and I like automatically Don was going to like it. She made a very admirable menu for him that each time she cooked, she added something on it..... " Jack narrates imagining those moments in the kitchen with Dodo, expressing a desire to eat any of the meals by gestures of his face.
"Anyways" he now gets back to the present moods, "she told me her cooking skills were literally laughed at that's why she never had interest in cooking. But sister, each meal auntie Dodo prepared for me was super delicious." With a smile on his face he tells Lala.
Apparently, Lala's minds are not in the same room with her where she is standing. Jack ends his conversation but she has not said a word. "Sisiter, is everything alright," asks Jack tapping on her arm with a finger. Her long lost mind back returns back to the point. She looks present to her brother now.
Not wanting to expose her weaknesses, "No, nothing ... !" she speaks with an absent mind, looking so glum and exhausted. "I think it's time for you to get in bed since you have to wake up early for school tomorrow morning," Lala says.
Jack gives an eye of doubt to his sister following her current mood but he can't resist climbing that bed in respect to his sister's word.
Lala walks a few steps forward to place the headphones down on the play station table as Jack climbs on the bed to lay, gently she covers him up, "goodnight sister," he says. "Goodnight Jack," replies Lala faking a smile and switches off the lights on her way out of the room.
"Still..., I cannot understand if this is the right path I am taking" inside he mind Lala speaks sitting on her bed in her bedroom with both ankles placed on her laps while her hands support the head under the lower jaw stuck with an emotional face. "My friend is in deep pains right now!" she talks deep inside, "I can imagine it." "How will I comfortably look at her well knowing the man she has loved so much sleep in my bed?" she questions her mind. "I dont think our bond is going to remain the same," Lala goes ahead to console herself. "Am loosing a family, now I see how life can flip in a blink of an eye." She continues to talk to with herself in mind. "Please forgive me Dodo," she busts into tears, taking her hands off the jaw while laying back on one side, cuddling in her bed painfully squeezing the pillow so tight.
"It has been four days since she disappeared" Don speaks madly on top of his voice infront of the police men, "and nothing.... nothing at all in all your reports makes sense."
"Please sir, you need to calm down," an officer politely asks. "Do not dare tell me to call down" his voice gets more rude and his eyes turning more reddish, "I need to know my wife's whereabouts. "
Lala seeems to be the woman in question that is making Don loose himself infront of everyone at the mansion.
Officer Stone enters the mansion together with his partner in the police car. "Greetings" he says to the gathered members on stepping out then he walks direct to meet the family members.
"Any information about the young boy?" Mrs James asks. "Yes" officer Stone speaks taking his cap off the head, "the school says it had taken four days when he's not attending school and they have tried to reach the family member which is his sister, her numbers her off."
"What of the cab driver?" Dodo asks, "he may be having some helpful information. I don't think it is necessary to pass him."
"Which cab driver," officer Stone asks inquisitively, so green about it. "His name is Jiang" Mrs James speaks, "he drives her oftentimes."
Don returns from receiving a call for quit a long period of time and proceeds from where he ended: "I told you not to step into this compound without Lala...." he shouts walking closer to officer Stone, "I wonder what are you doing here in her absence!" He gives a tough warmup to officer Stone.
"My son, I know you're upset with the police performance but there's no need to be vicious, " Mr James talks to viciously acting Don.
"Sorry sir" Officer Stone apologizes on saying, "the major source of information right now is the cab driver Madam Dodo has talked about since all the expected plots have failed."
"If it needs to detain him temporarily do not hesitate, I need to find my wife," concludes Don wrathful, walking out of their sight.
Friday night at midnight outside the club, officer Stone shows up from a distance with partner in a police patrol car .
"Information came that he picks a variety of clients at 'Girls' Collection' club" officer Stone's partner discloses to him, "he doesn't work under any company.... records talks about him as a freelance. "
Radio call brings in more information concerning the numberplate of the cab on target, "Copy that over," officer Stone responds as his partner notes down in a note book.
On a stakeout the officers wait conducting a surveillance.
A few hours later; "Hey Stone check this out," he taps on his shoulder alerting him to pay attention to a cab which has just arrived outside Girls' Collection club. Officer Stone picks up a binoculars from the dashboard to take a clear view by zooming the numberplate on the cab. "Bingo" he exclaims, "I guess we're right on truck."
A cab starts moving immediately a couple gets inside. Then a patrol proceeds with tailing it up from a distance.
After a little while, officer Stone and his colleague can see a lady coming out of the cab holding on her partner who steps out little unsteady on his feet.
"Wiiiwooo... wiiiooo!" patrol alarms on, shouting loud to alert the driver inside the cab who has just accelerated a few meters away from the point where he's dropped his Friday customers.
With no hesitation, the foot steps on a breaking pedal and immediately the cab stops. The Patrol moves slowly with a strong emergency light and stops right behind the cab. Officer Stone steps out well dressed in a police outfit and he gently walks with one hand on the handgun in his waist foward to meet the cab driver.
A very sharp light comes out of a torch held in officer Stone's right hand. "Can I have your Identity Card, please!" asks officer Stone pointing a torch direct into Jiang's face who reduces his eye sight to avoid being affected with light intensity. His two hands are already up. One of his hands slowly moves down to collect his wallet from the side pocket on his pair of trousers where he expects his identity card and pulls it out.
"Jiang right, slowly come out without any chaos" officer Stone says immediately after reading his identity card, " and please keep your hands where I can clearly see them." Peacefully he steps out as instructed because he is a very gentle hearted grown up man.
Quickly handcuffs bite on both his hands from behind.
"You're under arrest on charges of a missing person, free to remain silent and any word you say can be used against you within the courts of law," reads officer Stone as he arrests him. He then walks him towards the patrol softly upto inside the rear passenger.
"I've never kidnapped a person in my whole life officer," he speaks behind a wire net which divides the patrol rear from the front.
Its obvious that none of the officers pays attention to whatever comes out of his mouth.
"No need to worry about your cab sir" Stone's partner turns his head and says, "I've instructed breakdown to collect it to the police safety yeard so it is a hundred percent safe."
The journey of taking Jiang to the police station begins.
A few days back before Lala and her brother Jack goes missing:
The very night Lala shares a conversation with Jack, it starts when someone knocks on their apartment door. Jack is the first person to hear the knock which wakes him up from his good sleep. He opens his eyes which appear so sleepy. He whips then with a finger to acquire a more clear view. As he does this, immediately he confirms another knock with his ears which forces him to uncover off the blanket completely and raises to sit on the bed.
He attentively waits again. A few seconds pass and another stronger knock is heard. He stands up and walks as out of his bedroom upto her sister's door door like any other young one does, 'inform the elder'. He knocks the first time followed by the second in a row, but still his sister fails to respond. Jack decides to get the door handle and opens for himself. Lala is dead asleep on the bed laying on her back with her feet on the floor.
It seems the same outfits on her body including the shoes on her feet the last time she was seen after the conversation with her brother are the same she fell on bed, asleep with.
Jack lifts up his hand tapping on her to wake up. On the third taps in a row thats when Lala's eyes open.
"Sister," Jack addresses her respectfully. "I think Mr handsome Yang's hand is in pain" he says, "he has knocked outside for some good time now." Immediately after completing his sentence, another strong knock comes into their ears. This makes Lala to raise steadily and sits up.
"I told you his name is Don" she says on standing up off the bed, "better get used to calling him uncle Don." "Let's go,"
Lala hurries up out of her bedroom through the living room to the door. She rotates the key in the door handle getting the door to open.
Four words come out of Lala's mouth after seeing who is on the door. "He is not Don," she says.
An SUV Chevrolet with tinted glasses runs on the road late in the night at a very high speed upto the airport. A private jet already awaits for the arrival of this SUV.
Lala and Jack are quickly pulled out by unknown men as soon as the car stops near the plane stairs, who walks them upto inside the jet.
In not many minutes, the jet takes the run way upto flying away into the air.
Who could have taken Lala and her young brother Jack?!
"How worse the condition is now than it was" says Mr James worriedly, "we're loosing him if we don't act so fast."
"It is six months now ever since Lala went missing and still no trace of her whereabouts," Mrs James speaks in worry too, "I've run short of ideas now."
"He has spent millions of dollars on investigation to an extent of getting scammed and still he is reckless" Dodo who stands folding her hands in the door way of the home library speaks, "not anyone's advise he takes to when it comes to giving up."
"Don't expect Don to give up so easily," responds her mother. "Yes" father says, "his determination has not fallen an inch instead it grows day by day."
"Imagine how he has continuously separated himself from everyone around him including us" exclaims Mrs James in her wheelchair, "does he even eat a full meal....!"
"Thanks to his bodyguards who never give up keeping an eye on him no matter the times he has ordered them to leave him a lone," Dodo states and mother sighs in response.
"Sometimes he walks on the streets with claims that maybe one day he may come across Lala and she gives him the answers for all pending questions.
His bodyguards say he sometimes in the night he sits down on the streets and he doesn't leave until the following day. In a deep sleep, they come with a coverlet and lay it on him," Mr James talks with grief due to the condition Don is going through.
Mrs James and her daughter Dodo's emotions after hearing this sad news go from utter disbelief to overwhelming sorrow.
In the police station, Don enters. His face skin appears so pale with a cigarette burning on his mouth and a fresh bottle of Ballentines whisky in his hand. He has no tie around his neck to fill the reputation of a tuxedo he's wearing. Never has his shirts ever hang loose without being tucked in as it is right now. The two upper buttons on his shirt are open.
On the looks he seems to have given up on his life considering the shaggy hair on his head which looks like that of a homeless. It is six o'clock in the evening.
Cops put all their eyes on a complicated man they don't understand, entering carelessly into the police station. He doesn't go far instead he stands near the main entrance. Officer Stone's partner notices him and hurries to inform him. "I think you have an unexpected guest" he reports to officer Stone who is busy with some paper work on his desk, "you need to come quickly."
Without wastage of time Stone stands up following his partner from behind. Unbelievably, he finds officers yelling wildly at his boss 'Mr Don', attacking him with questions but he only minds about smoking his cigarette which is prohibited, moreover in such an environment.
"It is so lonely to drink alone in my hotel suite, this is why am here to share with you Stone," Don speaks, making his first response calmly looking at officer Stone. "I thought he is deaf and dumb," among the cops surrounding him one speaks while others laugh.
"Back to your stations all of you....!" Officer Stone shouts a command to fellow police officers.
"Please come with me Sir," he respectfully leads Don to where his office is. All other cops maintain silence, walking back to their position. "I think the show is over," his partner supplements to the incident.
"Who else on earth could love treat like this, I wonder," Officer Stone speaks within himself.
