Chapter 65 - Someone else

Not only was it obvious to Craig that Audrey had a good influence on Lucas, Lucas's siblings had started noticing the subtle changes with their brother. They would catch him smiling while receiving calls or staring at the pictures of Audrey he took while she wasn't aware.

The turn of events was a relief for the Walton family to see him happy, it was also something to celebrate, finally having a reason to approach a female for once.

Martin on the other hand had become the one on the receiving end of the workload, of course you didn't expect a CEO to leave his work and remain lax, well, someone like Lucas had to think of the company.

That was why he passed on his Workload to Martin, a fellow trusted companion and his brother, someone he was sure understood just how much the company mattered to them.

The following Monday, Lucas dropped Audrey at work after being hazed and slightly upset by the beautiful check patterned gown she wore.

Audrey wasn't with Prisca again, so, she needed to learn to start picking clothes by herself, she called Prisca to give her some tips and that was all the help she had before coming up with the outfit she thought would stun Lucas.

Well, it did stun Lucas, except he was the possessive type who still had to deal with the fact that he had a beautiful girlfriend which most men would gawk at.

That didn't stop him from planning a grand date for his girlfriend, which means more work for Martin. All the other dates they had gone too had just happened when they were coming back from work, just dinner.

However, this time he was planning on making it right. Lucas did most of the work so as to reduce the amount of workload his brother would do afterwards.

Craig walked into Martin's office with the documents he requested, however, the state he saw Martin was quite shocking. Martin was the playful type among the two, but that didn't stop the suffocating aura around him when he became serious.

Martin would be caught by Lucas Or Craig watching anime or lazing around when he didn't have work, however, this time, Martin looked serious as he drafted something in a sheet of paper with the serious look on his face.

He looked up to ask, "has any lady apart from Audrey come to see Lucas of recent, or have you heard him addressing someone on the phone named Emily?", Martin asked Craig who pushed up his glasses and nodded negatively.

" Why do you ask?!", Craig asked curiously, "she's someone we should he careful about, I'll tell you more if she becomes a threat!", Martin said, still thinking of why Emily hadn't showed up after two weeks. 'It's fine if she wants to keep pestering my brother, but this type of tactic is something to worry about!', Martin thought as Craig left his office.

Emily had somehow told Tessa the situation at hand, even she wasn't fully aware that the situation was 'slightly not in her favour', like she addressed it.

And just when she wanted to implement her plans, her agency sent her to a two week long fashion exhibition in New York to represent their modeling agency.

Of course, it was her job and she had to go with Tessa for two whole weeks, leaving Lucas to bond even more with his beautiful girlfriend, Audrey.

While she was at the fashion exhibition where multiple models and professional designers came to showcase their art, she told Tessa the real situation and what she thought would be the best solution to win Lucas's heart.

Tessa who had been friends with Emily had absolutely no idea that her friend could plot something like that just because of an old crush who had moved on. The worst part, or what Tessa thought was the worst part was, she couldn't talk Emily out of it.

Emily was oblivious however that Lucas had grown into a completely different person, far different from his twelve years old self. He would rather have a simple, beautiful girlfriend, than a scheming five star model.

While Craig was working on his laptop, the suffocating smell of perfume restricted him from breathing properly, he didn't understand why someone had to abuse such sweet smell till it became repulsive.

He understood the whole thing when he raised his head," Welcome to Walton Globals ma'am!", Criag said notwithstanding, it was his job to usher guests, if he liked them or not, and right in front of him was Emily, wearing too much for just a visit.

Martin didn't need to be told twice when he heard the familiar scent, he stood up alarmed, 'bad timing!'. Lucas just handed his job over to Martin who was preparing to work overtime as he would be going on a date with Audrey.

He left his office to see Emily with her classy look, not to forget the over the top make up. Completely ignoring Craig's existence, she faced Martin , elated, she literally thought she could get a fast pass.

"Martin!!", Emily squealed, " hey Emily, what brings you to the company!". "Ohh, I'm here for Lucas, I have a nice trip planned for us after he escorts Me to a shoot I have later today!", " Right!, did he agree that he was going to accompany you!?", Martin asked.

"Nope, but he will, eventually!", " sorry to tell you Emily, Lucas is about to step out!", Martin said. Lucas who had taken everything he needed before heading out to pick Audrey, they had a date to attend was curious to know which staff dared to argue with an executive.

Lucas was shocked however to see Emily, Craig and Martin bickering right in front of his office. He sighed before going ahead, "Hey Lucas, I have a shoot today, actually later today..!", Emily said with a big smile plastered on her face thinking she had caught him on the spot and he wouldnt be able to say no.

" I'm sorry, I have an appointment!", Lucas said, cutting eye off before she even finished her sentence. He walked to his private elevator, leaving Emily with her mouth agape, that didn't mean she didn't follow him to confirm her suspicions.

Following him like a wife cheated on, she wasn't that much surprised to see a lady sitting on the passenger seat of his car!.
