Music recommendation: Call out My Name by the weeknd. ( I had this on repeat!)
The weekend passed by with Audrey enjoying every bit of it, it was like she imagined, away from sitting on a weirdly shaped chair for hours, away from the constant dings of the elevator. Just there, at the dessert shop, with the luxury of taking in the first bites of the meals before the others from the batch are served to the eager customers.
The alarm she had gotten on her side table dinged, snapping Audrey into reality, she reached out to stop the deafening noise that disturbed her fantasy. She had set the alarm for six in the morning, but there and then, she regret she even set an alarm.
She dragged herself out of her bed, rearranged the sheets, cleaned the rest of her room, and brought out the clothes she was going to wear that day. She settled for a dress shirt, a fitted below knee-length skirt, a pair of heels, and a strapless bag.
She had her bath and went out of the house after kissing Lizzy and Prisca goodbye, like the previous week, she couldn't eat breakfast, so she took the takeout Lizzy prepared for her.
She was in the office in no time, her key card hung on her neck, taking bold steps, as she was starting to get acquainted with how the company operated, its cumbersome workload, and its sophisticated staff, not to forget, the very handsome president.
She grabbed a cup of coffee on the way up, the packed lunch would be kept for later, and the last week's episode showed her that she was truly a foodie.
She entered the elevators and pressed the twenty-fifth floor, her destination, soon after, the elevator dinged open and Audrey walked out, handbag in one hand, lunch pack and coffee in the other hand, and a charming smile on her beautiful face.
Audrey walked towards Sasha and dropped the cup of extra coffee she had gotten for her, "good morning Sasha!", Audrey said with a smile, " good morning Audrey, you seem to be in a good mood!", Sasha said seeing Audrey's bright smile.
"Really, I look like I'm in a good mood?", " yeah really!", "well, maybe that's cause I finished my work last week!", " okayyy, that's really good!!, sometimes I feel like the workload can kill!", "it sure can sweetie, here… I got you a cup of coffee!", " ohhh thank you!!", "you're welcome!!", " Also, Audrey the president sent for you!".
Audrey gave it some thought and remembered the reason she was summoned to the top floor, she and the president had unfinished business. "Ohh okay, let me drop my bag first!", " Okay, thanks for the coffee!", Audrey smiled in return.
She dropped her bag, the lunch, and the coffee and headed for the elevator and headed for the fiftieth floor, where the office of the president was located. She had never really been on the floor, except that one time she had accompanied Mr. Cohen to take minutes of the monthly meeting.
Lucas was ten minutes earlier to the office that very morning, he was ecstatic that he was signing the contract with Audrey, however, no one knew except his brother knew the reason he was more active that morning.
However, even though he was elated, he still had a bored, expressionless look on his face, strutting the halls like he wasn't about to have an excuse to spend time with his crush.
He had called the lawyer to his office to draft the contract, setting clauses that he thought she would be comfortable with, as he knew anything too extreme would be too much for her.
A soft knock was heard on the door, "Come in!!", the deep voice said from the other side as Craig ushered Audrey to walk in, " thank you!", Audrey said before Craig walked away.
Audrey walked in closing the doors behind her, she took in the beautiful sight in the office, there, and then, she concluded that the president had a knack for floor-to-ceiling windows, it was in most offices. Her eyes finally landed on the two men, one she had dinner with three nights ago, and the other, she had never seen before.
"Wow!", Lucas thought as he saw Audrey walk into his office. He knew she looked beautiful in casual clothes, but he didn't know she could be that stunning in the office wears. Somehow, he didn't want her wearing clothes like that because the outfit accentuated her beautiful curves and her beauty.
Lucas blinked a slight smirk on his face thinking about how he was possessive of a person he had not even properly asked out yet. She walked deeper into his office, " have a seat Audrey", "ohh thank you, good morning sir, good morning president!", " good morning miss?", Mr harper said, "good morning Audrey!", Lucas said.
" This is Mr. Harper, he's my lawyer, and he's here with the contract!", Lucas said, "Miss Audrey, please read through and tell me the clauses you are not comfortable with!", " ohh okay!".
Audrey went through the contract and affirmed that she was okay with the clauses. "The clauses are fine with me!", " they're fine with me too!!, go ahead and print three copies sir!", Lucas said before Mr. Harper left to print the contracts.
"So as the contract says, we have to start going out more to make it look real!", " Okay, but don't we need a backstory!", Lucas smiled and continued, " calm down kitten…" Lucas said earning a slight blush from Audrey.
"The story is we've been together for a year now, you decided to start working here after you wanted a change of scenery from where you worked before!".
" Okay, that sounds okay!", "Also, paparazzi caught us on camera yesterday!!", Audrey looked back at him with alarmed eyes before he said, " calm down kitten, the pictures were blurry!". Only then did Audrey sigh, the lawyer, Mr. Harper soon came back into the office holding three sheets of paper.
Audrey and Lucas signed where they were supposed to, Lucas passed her an envelope to keep the documents before he said, "expect your payments before the end of today! also punch in your number!", he said passing his phone to Audrey.
She couldn't help but blush, it looked like he was asking for her number like every other normal relationship. She punched her numbers and gave him his phone, " I'm dropping you off tonight!", Audrey nodded and left the office.
