JULY
"IT HAS BEEN TEN DAYS, Juls. They are still not here," Natalia sighed as she rested her head on my shoulder.
Here we are again on the beach, looking out and hoping for the passing rescuers. We also lit a bonfire so that anyone in the sky would notice (if there was any) that there was someone here on this island.
"Shh. Just trust me, babe," I pulled her closer to me. "They're coming. I know they're coming."
It's not just the rescuers sent by the president that I'm referring to, but my own team as well. I knew that Jacqui was trying to look for us. Maybe they're just really struggling because this island is so far away.
'I can't reach them through our link.' Me too, wolf. 'We need to get out of here. I am having bad vibes on this island.'
I agree because I don't know, but I feel differently about this island. I did feel safe here for some time, but there's still something I can't point out.
We remained in our position as we silently watched the inviting waves. It would have been great to bathe in the blue ocean and play in the waves with Natalia, but she always declined my offer. She said she had an allergy to salt water, and because I respected her so much, I didn't insist on it.
I'm just enjoying the moment that Natalia is in my arms. In these past few days that we have been on this island, I can say this is one of the most beautiful days of my life. I can't totally get upset and get angry because we are stranded on this island because this situation has helped me get closer to my Luna. I got to know her well and settled my doubts regarding her.
No, I no longer doubt her. I have already confirmed that she is really my Luna, and the only thing missing is to tell her my true and true identity. But I also thought, is this the right time? What if she doesn't accept me? What if she rejects me? Eh, that's not possible. I love her already. I will die if she rejects me, my love. What to do? I gasped at the thought.

I tried to smile at her. "Of course not," I replied, quickly kissing her on the lips. "We'll get out of here soon, I promise."
She smiled and nodded. This time, she hugged me at my waist and squeezed harder on my neck. I felt content with what she was doing. I could live like this forever, but I know that's not possible. I really need to find a way for us to get out of here because I promised her that we would get out of here on this island very very soon.

IT WAS NOON WHEN Natalia and I left the beach because she was supposed to take a bath first and I had to get some food because my wolf was hungry. My wolf really wants to come out because she has stayed in my human form for a long time.
'I'm so bored here! I can't train anymore!'
In time, wolf. You know, Natalia doesn't know about you yet.
'When are you going to tell her? When something bad happens to him or you again?'

Before my wolf could answer again, I heard a shout in the distance. I'm sure it was her. There was no one else there but Natalia and me.
'You're screwed,' said the wolf, but I ignored her because I quickly ran into where Natalia was.
"Why, Nat?" I'm desperate to get closer to her.
"Someone's here," Afraid, she holds my arm.
I immediately pressed her to my waist and paid attention. "Are you sure?" I whispered as if someone had heard my question.
The brat nodded while pointing in the direction of the rocky part. I took a stone of medium size. While still holding Natalia, I threw the stone in the direction she pointed. We immediately heard a shout. I think the stone I threw hit whoever was there.
"Who are you?" I shouted. I felt Natalia's hug tighten around my waist. "Come out, daredevil!"
I took another stone and was ready to throw it there when the culprit came out. As if they knew I would stone them again if they would not come out.
"Oops! That's enough. I have a lump already!"
And there stood a beautiful gray-haired girl. I guess she's still a teenager. She is also tall, but she is definitely beautiful, even though she is frustratingly pointing her index finger at her swollen forehead. Oops.
"Who are you?" I asked again.
Even if that woman seems harmless, we shouldn't just trust her.
"Really? Won't you first apologize for what you did? You threw a stone at me! Dammit! You have given me a lump!" She ranted.
"Serves you right, pervert! You're peeking at me while I am bathing! Maniac!" Natalia yelled at the girl.
She's moved over to my side and is pointing at the gray-haired girl.
"Hey! I'm not a pervert and I'm not peeking at you while you bathe, Miss!" The girl was obviously angry as well. I had a clearer vision of her face, and I could see that the lump was still red. Yay! Bullseye!
"Then why are you hiding there in the rocks if you're not peeping?!" Natalia asked cautiously.
The voices of the two are loud. I, on the other hand, have not yet learned about what happened. I'm sensing something from this girl. Not in a bad way but a good way.
"I own this island, so I can go and do whatever or whenever I want to!"
"Liar! Nobody lives here!"
"I'm not a liar! I do live here. My family lives here. They own this place and that makes me the owner also."
"Liar! Tell us the truth if you don't want to regret the deception you're doing to us!"
"Fuck! I'm not even lying!" The annoyance was already visible on the gray-haired girl's face.
In just a second, the girl quickly approached us. Natalia was scared of what the woman did, so she immediately hid behind me. I stood there, fazed.
"Eff! What are you?!" I heard Natalia ask, still on my back. "July, she's a freak!" Really, Natalia is really scared.
"Psh. Freak? Me?" The girl grunted. "Miss, tell your mate that I'm not a freak and don't get feisty on me because we're all the same."
"Mate?" Natalia asked, coming out from behind me and facing the gray-haired girl. "And what is she saying that we are the same?" I'm really impressed with Natalia's courage. Even though she was terrified before, she was still able to face the stranger.
I intervened, "Ahh mate, yes." I'm not ready for Natalia to find out yet. Not yet. "She meant girlfriend, babe." Then I took Natalia's hand and smiled sweetly at her. My Luna blushed because of what I did as she smiled slyly. She is so cute! "Isn't it, Miss---?" I looked at the girl and widened my eyes.
"Ruby. My name is Ruby," she replied. She cocked her brow and looked at me.I know now why I sense her differently; we're the same. "Apologize to me!" Ruby demanded. Whew! It's a good thing she didn't drag the mate issue out any longer.
"Ah Uhm..."
"She won't apologize unless you tell us the truth!" Natalia replied stiffly."Why are you peeping on me?" The brat wouldn't let go of that topic. Oh well, you know Natalia.
"I'm not---Eff! You are so slow! I'm not peeping!" Ruby was angry too.
"Don't cuss in my face! You don't know who you're messing with!" Natalia, sadly, is also on outburst.
"Really?" said Ruby sarcastically. "The hell I care! I can kill you in an instant," Ruby smirked. Oh my god! I am torn between two dragons here.
"Why---?" Natalia pushed Ruby forward, but I immediately stopped her by hugging her waist.
"Nat, no! She can help us. She really owns this place," I interrupted her.
"You know her?" She asked a startling question. I shook my head. "Then why are you defending her?" My moody Luna has been hurt again.
"I am not---"
"She's just telling the truth, Miss. I can help you get out of here. But first, July needs to apologize for giving this to me." Ruby pointed to her lump. "Gosh, what will Ely say when she sees my face like this? She wouldn't want me to be his girlfriend!" Ruby says, with tears in her eyes.
"No, July will never---"
"Sorry, Ruby," I cut off Natalia as I pulled her by her wrist. I saw in my peripherals how she gazed at me with that are-you-kidding-me look, but this is not where my attention was focused. "I was just so worried about my girlfriend here and I thought something bad happened to her when she shouted. I hope you understand why I have to do that. I'm really sorry." It's good that Natalia is quiet.
'Ruby's like us?' She is, wolf.
"Okay," she said, smiling. "I'm sorry too because I was just trying to take a bath in the waterfall and didn't see anyone there. I was also scared, so I hid. I was relieved that you are also harmless supernaturals."
"Supernaturals?" Natalia's eyebrows meet.
'Oh my god, Juls. We are doomed!' Oh my god, wolf. Natalia will know about us now!
"Yeah, like me." She said with a wide smile. "I'm like Ju---"
Ruby was cut off by a horn. She was confusingly looking around.
Wooh! Saved by the horn!
"Come with me. It's no longer safe here," Ruby said.
"No, we don't know her yet!" Natalia screamed.
"Nat, baby, trust her. She's with us," I convinced her.
"Don't worry, I'm on the good side. Now, come on before anything goes wrong here," Ruby's voice was concerning and her eyes became alert.
I instantly trusted the girl. Not only because we're both wolves, but also because I'm friendly with her. Besides, she can help us as she's claiming she can. Then she is the answer to our prayers, isn't she?
Natalia was looking at me as if she wasn't convinced. I totally understand Natalia's feelings, but if we don't try this, we might really live longer on this island if we don't go with Ruby. I don't have a problem thinking about that because she is with me, but as Ruby said, there are also bad things happening on the island where we're staying right now.
Maybe Natalia saw how willing I am to come with Ruby, and she agreed as well.
When Ruby saw that we were willing to go with her, she started walking in the woods. I haven't been to the part where we are going through it. I even plan to tour the island the next morning to try to find someone who can help Natalia and me leave the island. I promised the brat, and I don't want to rely on my words alone. That's why I am glad to know Ruby. Fortunately, she is kind, and that's a bonus for me.
Our journey did not take long and Ruby stopped opposite an ordinary tree. Ruby chanted something we couldn't understand.
"She's a witch, Juls," Natalia whispered nervously to me as Ruby continued what she was doing. "I told you, we can't trust her."
I was about to answer when Ruby spoke.
"Come in," she said, smiling. I looked at her emphatically. She doesn't look like a witch. Though her nose is pointed, I really smell her like a wolf. Is it possible that she is a hybrid? I mean, is she half-wolf, half-witch? "Come on in," she said again to us.
"Where?" Natalia asked.
We don't really see an entrance or even a portal. In front of us was a plain view of a wide green forest.
"There," Ruby pointed in front of us. Natalia and I raised an eyebrow as we looked at each other.
"You go first," Natalia commanded Ruby. The latter sighed and seemed to understand that we didn't trust her. And she first walked in the direction she pointed, and then she suddenly disappeared.
Natalia and I widened our eyes at what we saw. Gasps escaped from our mouths. We couldn't move for a few seconds and no one could speak. That was all shocking to us!
We hugged each other when half of Ruby's body and her head came out. I think what she made was a portal. It was so surprising, but wow! This is the first time I've seen it! I can't believe it!
What the fuck? Amazing!
"Is that a portal?" I can't help but ask.
"Yep, a portal to my kingdom," she said, and she pulled us inside without warning.
We could do nothing but follow Ruby as she grabbed us inside and saw what was inside that portal. Natalia and I let out another gasp, with wide awed eyes, looking at the kingdom that Ruby is referring to. We were in a deep trance from what we were seeing when Ruby said again, "Welcome to my kingdom. Welcome to... Faerie Landia."
