Chapter 54 - Madam

"Is this the girl you were fighting with me, Moon? The girl who once was your Bestie but today she is wholly the opposite of it!" O-Opposite? I don't know what was wrong but it's unfair, Yeran! You– "And the reason is you, Moon…" Puzzled, I was looking at her.

Then she continued, "I'll never forgive you for what you did, Moon. Remember it!" I was dazed and just saw Yeran taking away Carl with her. Though his eyes were stuck on me, I did nothing… just nothing I had in my hands to do. For what…, she was abhorring me. For which sh*t! Ahh–

"Excuse me, Dear… It's been 40 mins since I've been holding this meat. Please take it…"

"O-Oh. I'm sorry, please don't cry. Here is your money. Thank you!"

What a weird day! I shouldn't have come out… just because of me Yeran cried and… Even meat Uncle. Haiz…, I will never come out if this is what I have to see every day.

Ah-ah, I was hurtled by a girl around my age in elementary school, her smile… was like Yeran's. Wait! It's Yeran itself. I might be reckoning the past days…

"Yeran! It's bad to make your friend run, Girl!" Is that old me?

"It's not written anywhere, Babe! Heh!" From a young age, she was to call me Babe. Those days were out of 100. I have nothing to worry about, neither love nor studies. But now it's only words I have to worry about. Sigh… I wish… I could have a glimpse of those days…

"Yeran! Watch out!" I quickly turned back and found mine and Yeran's old versions were still playing instead of disappearing. Is there something else I forgot to see? Old Moon was running towards Old Yeran where she was crying. Old Moon hugged Old Yeran and said,

"I promise, I'll never let any situation come where you have to cry because of me, Yeran."

"What if you break any of your promises, Babe?"

"The rest I will leave to you, Yeran."

"I will never talk to you if you don't keep your promises, Babe."

Never talk to me? If I break promises? That means, "Hey! Wait!-" They disappeared…? Hey!! No! I have to know what happened further! I collapsed on the ground, regretting for no reason. I had broken a promise… but which one? Why can't I remember, huh? Think! Think, Moon! Is her rudeness the punishment she gave me for breaking any promise that I forgot by any chance? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Heck!

The whole way I was thinking… Sometimes standing under trees, sitting in the middle of the roads, or throwing pebbles here and there. But in the end, I was left as an idiot Friend who couldn't even remember the promises she made and the promises she had broken.

"Moon! What were you doing till now? Where–" I handed over the packet to her and walked directly to my room. It was dark until the light flashed in.

Frames of me and Yeran were more than me with my family members. Lots of moments from her 9th birthday to her 20th birthday, if everything gets okay between us then there will be more frames of her birthdays on my walls. A few more moments of the first visit to the school, some crazy but hallowed pictures with her, and the remaining frames are places where we wandered together. What days were they? I indeed miss them…

"Did anything happen between you and Yeran?" I'm used to this voice. It's obviously Uncle Ren. How quickly has he learned about my moods that he has questioned me without knowing what happened in this while?

"Nothing, Uncle Ren. Why would anything wrong go between Besties?" He walked to me and leaned on the wall.

"Then why touch the frames emotionally?"

"I was just clearing the dust. Nothing else than that, Uncle Ren."

"Only fools can give such unreasonable answers, Moon." He pushed away my head with his palm and added, "Speak up or else I have to call Yeran." This man is crazy. He even brought the phone to eventually show that he would call Yeran in front of me anytime! I know, you won't do that, Uncle Ren.

"Don't take it as a joke, Moon. I'll make it."

"Okay. Give it a try then." The place was quiet until a ringtone called in my room. What the fu*k?! He literally dialed her?! Oh my gosh! I immediately snatched the phone and hung up.

"You shouldn't force me, Uncle Ren."

"If I can't force you then why are you forcing yourself to hide it, huh?!"

"I can do whatever I want!"

"Even I have the right to do whatever I want! I was trying to understand you but you often act like an idiot!"

"Idiot? Me? You're the idiot here! Idiot Uncle!"

Suddenly the doors of my room burst out and my Mom broke in.

"Shut up! Both of you are idiots. Seeing two idiots fight here is the biggest headache for me. Not for a moment, you guys be quiet, huh? Will you lose your life or what?! God, god!"

And she continued lecturing me and Uncle Ren… for the entire 1 hour now! Sigh… Finally when it ended. Me and Uncle Ren fell onto a cotton sofa– felt so exhausted! Mom just lengthened it for too long to be rested and not overthink a simple lecture.

"Just because of you Lilly had lectured us for a long time."

"Ah! Don't blame me for everything, Uncle Ren."

"Hai! Hai! Now who is blaming who, huh?"

"It's you, Uncle Ren!" Orangutan. I must be contemptuous of myself for grazing an orangutan in my house! I'm scornful of myself! I was just admiring myself but didn't know from which planet an alien rushed over my head and decisively landed on my head.

"Ouch." And… lately, I figured out that the alien was Uncle Ren's filthy hand. I… hate… it… My hazardous narrow eyes of mine jumped on his face and he just IGNORED them! Idiotic beast! Mother Earth regrets today for giving birth to this varmint! Poor Earth…

"Stop making those faces, Moon!"

"Who made me do that, huh?" Ha, now. Again this place is going to blast. Sure, Mom is gonna add-in it. Uncle Ren, Like a phoenix, stood up from the sofa and flew over me. His brows were curved, narrowed eyes – eyeballs burning. He is ablaze!-- wait, he's just smouldering. Flame is too far away to catch him.

"Haiz, Moon! You never stop giving back answers, no?!"

"Heh, No, Uncle Ren. That's my favourite hobby."

"Mooooooooooooooon!"

"Ohhh! My ears Uncle Ren! Why are you shouting, huh?" He was shouting there and I was screaming while holding my ears. Oh god, this is the start of World War 3 now. Haiz! Why am I still here? Why did I still have my way to you, Dear God?!

"Ren! Moon! Get out of my house!!"

And what? Uncle Ren and I were standing outside the house. Though this house is my Dad's still I was sent out. (--_–) All because of this orangutan. The only thing left to do now was to hang the cards around our necks written 'Homeless Human Beings' and a hat held in our palms and walk around the streets and houses for food. Uncle Ren is best suited for it. (>V<)

"Hey, what are you smiling at?" Ah, again he started now. "Nothing, Uncle Ren. Well, did you think anything about our dinner tonight?" He had just fallen into his stupid thoughts and then suddenly lightened up, saying, "Let's have dinner at a traditional restaurant."

A tradi… tional… restaurant? Is this really meant to be mentioned as a restaurant in the first place? A restaurant in a hut shape though it is big. Big… sorry not even average human's height gates. Wooden-painted walls and the floor are all about it. He literally brought me to a ghost house, thankfully ghosts don't live here.

"Welcome, Sir and Madam. For how many members would you like to have a table?" I'm not too old to be named 'Madam' already. Though… I would like to praise this lady for her great enthusiasm for welcoming customers.

Holy Fc*k! I had underestimated this place! From the outside, it might be a haunting house but from the inside, it is all about a traditional and fascinating atmosphere. The arrangements and the table formats are suggestible! I… extraordinarily LOVED it!

"Here is table one for 2 people, Sir."

"Thank you."

Menu…? Where is the menu? … "Uncle, they don't have a menu!" I whispered and he responded with a chuckle. "They don't have a menu, Moon." What! What the heck?! Am I heading with an empty stomach? Then there's no difference between being homeless and having no food in a restaurant! Heck!

"What are you saying, Uncle Ren?"

He cracked up and said, "It was a joke, Moon." Oh! Uncle Ren! I must be a fool to be fooled by another fool! Everywhere is only a fool. "There's a food bulletin board over reception. Choose for yourself and for me make it a standard steak with side foods." I heard it.

Though there were a lot of foods to enjoy tonight, I just came up with traditional noodles.

"Is this all that you need, Darling?" I was so amazed to answer her… like how can she easily address me 'Darling' as if I'm her girlfriend. She's not too old to take it lightly. She's just five years older or maybe a bit more, and for that, she shouldn't call me that way. "Ye-Yeah…"

She smiled brightly and handed over the food tray. "Come again, Darling." She's weird now.

"Um…" I didn't even turn to her and rushed directly to the Orangutan. "Uncle Ren!!-" And I was a whole statue holding a sheepish smile when I was surrounded by attention. "What happened? Why are you loud, Dear Moon?"

"That reception girl was flirting with me!" I whispered loudly. Thought that he was gonna be given the same as my reaction but he literally turned my expectations down with his heartwarming… smile. This guy has a supreme laugh! Man, I might die!

"That's why you're Moon, Dear." He said with a smile and fell into his phone. I was a bit confused to think it back and understand, with eye contact with her, I was aroused by goosebumps! What does he mean…?! "Sit down, Moon! I might die of hunger soon."

"Even I'm, Uncle. C'mon, let's start!" No. Not again. I peered around with a doubt that I might have disturbed customers again. Hopefully, no one's attention was on me. I was in thought unless I met this guy's eyes, He was glaring at me and then ignored fiercely.

What the hell with this guy? Such a weirdo! "See this. Your Mamma is continuously messaging me." Mom gonna be crazy if she knows we're having dinner in the restaurant. I smiled and said, "You'll be dead for sure today, Uncle."

"Don't forget. She's my wife. Why would she kill me?"

"Forget it then. Even though she's my Mom, she still screams at me for everything." I shrugged and he rolled his eyes in frustration. Saying bye-bye to his thoughts, we began wearing down our meals with no tension, huh? We're idiots. Of course, I do believe strongly that my Uncle is surely an idiot but not me, no? Ho Ho! I know I'm not.

"Thank you for coming~ Come again~"

"No way, Lady!"

"That's rude, Moon~!"

"Hoy~!"
