"I'm home~!"
Why is it so quiet here? Do you suppose they've both vanished...? When I'm in need of it, not only from these two but from anywhere on the earth, it doesn't bother me anymore. Simply said, I want everyone out of my life! Heck!
I turned on the morning queue by queue in the hopes of finding the most tranquilly. I momentarily closed my eyes before opening them again and was shocked to find Ethan burning in the dusk. He dove right up my sleeves, his eyes blazing.
"Hah. Welcome back, Fowler, my brother."
He is stalking the area. Compared to the Ethan I remember, his accent is different.
Ethan, what's wrong with you? He was smoking heavily from his mouth by that point. He now has sass. When he arrived, things altered a little. The situation slightly changed when he presented his lips with a creepy smile. Wish not he had no false intentions. Just let out what you've been chewing in, Ethan.
"Smoking is not allowed here, Ethan–"
He flicked his cigarette and stepped forward sharply. I was suddenly seized by both wrists and shoved into the bed. Directly above me, his entire body was.
My pulse started to race as I became aware that there were no voices around me, only pressure. The unexpected behaviour puts him under stress, he says.
"Ethan, what are you doing? You are aware that I hit on someone else."
"Oh, I'm envious of your cute girlfriend," He said.
"All right now. Ethan, I've had to go. I'm not interested in you-"
I failed to complete it… He interrupted me by biting my lips and devouring them like he was eating bread and jam. I tried to raise him, but I couldn't. My wrists were firmly in his grasp. The deep impact was strong.
"Ah. Uh. St-Stop it, Ethan."
I touched his neck with a sense of my hand. I gently massaged his neck while I imitated his view. When we initially established eye contact, he was already quite crimson, soaking up my hot breath and making me pucker.
"I'm not done yet, Brother Fowler."
"No more, Ethan. I'm not here to satisfy you."
With those words, he let go of my hand. But! Suddenly trailed his hand under my shirt and jolted me over. "E-Ethan!" He smiled and leaned to my ear, getting inner and inner my shirt. It's hot! Hah!
"I actually want you to satisfy me the whole night, Brother Fowler."
He whispered and I was covered with goosebumps. Wide-eyed, trembling by his confidence. Will he do it right now?! No- not again. But! He was sucking on my neck! Ache! Is he giving me a hickey? He squeezed my waist, making me extend my body. My legs, my hands, and my whole body are locked up with no key to open up.
I squeezed my eyes until there was pressure on me. Uh-uh!
I huffed hugely when he finally let me off. A glance at him and I buried myself with flame. I hate him. I unconditionally glared at him and balled my hand.
"Get lost!" I stuck my hand on his chest and made an effort to get him out of bed but he held my hand softly and gently. With a slight rub on my palm, he gave me a smooch. This lad– has not at all matured! I quickly grasped my hand back and he looked at me softly.
"I had already fallen for you badly, Brother Fowler."
With my hand covering his mouth, I said, "I know, Ethan. It's time for Arin to get back from his part-time job."
"He said he might be doing the night shift today."
"Oh, really, lad. Then go do your job, not wasting my energy."
For a moment, I wondered, what if I can't make things turn better than making them worse? But then I thought, time will change everything soon. Just a little effort I have to put in it. I secretly smiled and then my startled eyes met his. His face is a little inch away from her lips.
I'm eventually refusing it now! "Enough! I'm hungry, make me food, Ethan."
He sighed and said, "Anything for you, Bro Fowler."
He gave me a cheek tap before leaving. Similar to how I was sitting on the bed and gazing out the window, a single idea kept troubling me. I was blank to be answered. Is it best to just inform him that I am a female and not someone he may consider a life partner? But what if I end up having negative intentions for him? The weight of my immense guilt has become too much for me to handle. How long can a cracked mirror reflect a lovely world?
If I could discover someone who was superior to me for him, it would be best. I may have taken the first step in falling in love with Tangwen after saying the same thing to her. I wonder what if it happens here too?
Tomorrow will mark my entry into the university. Next followed those of Millou, Ethan, and Arin. And I don't want to start the day off feeling down due to all the love woes. Before I could begin, I had to figure out a route out.
"Sacred Heart Fowler, Food has been prepared for you."
Such a banal phrase before my name. The heck!
"I'll be there, Erhan."
I resisted giving the supper a complicated declaration of love because it was just hot noodles and yellow cantaloupe. I've never included fruit as a side dish. The preferences of this person are unique.
"Achchoo! Someone is disparaging me?"
"Oh? Arin, good evening."
I stood frantically as I turned to view Arin's gloomy and defeated face. How could he have arrived where he did? Is he all right? He said nothing more after I offered him an inner blessing and he walked over to his study table while dragging his carry-on around to the foot of his bed. He immediately took a seat and began to zone in on a keychain. Maybe a keychain with a panda? There was obviously a problem in his heart and mind.
"Arin, all ok?"
I sat beside him, leaving the food on the table. He glanced at me and turned back to the window. He signed and then added, "I… it's nothing, Fowler. I'm fine." Sounds like there's no truth in his words. Hiding something? Hah. What exactly is hidden in your heart, Arin?
"Never bury your emotions, they might grow into tormenting burdens."
He gave me a stunned look that clearly struck his heart as well. I made a normal face at him, but his expression of awe persisted. He smiled as he continued.
"I actually admire someone, but they are already being courted by another individual. Fowler, I'm having trouble understanding how to break this chain."
Once I likened my life to that chain, I smirked sourly. Tangwen considered Millou to be her lover, but I'm hitting on her since Ethan adores me! Tsk! What a stressful existence! Arin, I 100% understand how you feel.
We fall for the right person at the wrong time and the wrong person at the perfect time. That is why we are humans. It's the reason behind losing Tangwen Alfie from my hands.
"Then, why don't you confess your feelings to your loved one?"
"Fowler, if it was really that simple, I wouldn't be here telling you my story."
Arin…? That emotional damage is surely a baritone. I degenerated into an unfixable machine. Blood was steadily leaking from my heart, creating hundreds of holes that needed to be patched. It used an unseen knife to make a deep wound, Arin. How deep a wound does that emotion leave? Arin, how did you manage the pain?
I need to ask him. "Arin, are you all right?"
With a little smile on his face, he said,
"That's true! The one who heard your words will surely be fine, Brother…Fowler."
Arin was addressing me for the first time as Brother, and I was interfered with. I'm content. I only tried to grin a bit, and he thought about it. Can I thus assume that Arin's issue has been resolved? Or... Arin, you appear to still have stuff hidden. Well, one shouldn't be fully open-minded since some things should be kept to themselves lest they become a burden. You won't invite things to get so complicated, right Arin?
"I'm elated, Arin."
After supper was over, the entire evening. Millou wasn't there yet, I discovered. We were concerned for his security. Arin called Millou repeatedly but got no response. When Ethan attempted to phone the nearest police station to get information about Millou, the call was repeatedly rejected due to bad connectivity. In contrast, I felt extremely anxious as I drew Khisae's comments about murdering Millou. What if she stood by what she said? No, no! That is not true! I cannot tolerate that!
Until Ethan put his hand on my shoulder and I suddenly jumped in a jolt, my heart was beating more and more rapidly, as if it may throb out of time.
"Is everything okay, Brother Fowler?"
No time to answer! I immediately stood up and was about to walk away rounding my coat when I was halted by Ethan unexpectedly. "Are you trying to double the trouble, Brother Fowler?" I shoved his hand and yelled. "I need to find him! No matter what!"
They were thunderstruck and were unable to embrace my powerful aura. Arin adjusted his coat as he stood next to me.
"Fowler, I'm here for you."
Ethan emerged as the lone person still present. He gave up since his opponent had the majority. We both smiled as soon as we saw Ethan in his coat.
"I can't possibly win against you both."
"We know! Nah!!" Of course, it was being this stupid.
We three decided to set apart into three and have three different routes to be followed. Whoever first finds Millou will quickly make a call to the others. For now, this was the plan. I was in the north direction.
The night is cloudy and cold– caliginous. It was creepin' further as I got into it deeply. The more the beginning distance dwindled the faster my heartbeat was augmenting! At that moment, the first question was: Do ghosts exist?
Unexpectedly, a hand fell on my shoulder and I hopped higher ever a kangaroo ever make it.
"Ahhhh! Ghost!!"
I might surely be discovered as a patient suffering from illness – I must be needed to join a psychiatric hospital! Argently!! But then, a huge and stiff hand caught my wrist, stopping me from running away. Wah! I don't wanna die in ghosts' hands!
"Young child, what are you doing at nighttime?"
Ah? A human voice? I immediately turned back– and found that it was a middle-aged man. I felt so embarrassed after remembering those words calling him a ghost. So shame! He smiled and then I did too by adding, "I'm in search of one of my friends, Sir."
"Is it? Then, you should've informed the Cop house, right? You shouldn't roam outside alone, it's not safe."
He is a kind-hearted person. But…
"I'm a university student, Uncle. I have my ways to deal with nightfall." He suddenly chuckled with curling fingers near his lips and then spoke words in between his chuckle,
"Young Child, I hope you find your way to your friend."
"I'm not so young, Uncle," I spoke with a chuckle. He turned around with a waving hand at me and walked away. Geez! What kind of man does live in this nasty world? I just wonder.
I was standing in the middle road, glimpsing around in that Caliginosity, blinding my sight. The rustling leaves were rounding my body with goosebumps. That sounds scary! Sigh!
"Huh? It's already quarter to 9:00 P.M but this Millou is still gone."
This guy must surely be playing with guys! How reckless! I was about to leave when I suddenly heard an ear-tearing voice. I was thunderstruck by such a loud mouthpiece. Should I have a glance? What if it was Millou? It can't be, it can't be!
