Chapter 61 - Missing Everyone

"Brother Fowler?" It was seemingly Ethan who gave me such an unexpected arrival including a query. I was just bewildered to figure out what was driving the crowd over there. My heart was scampering minute by minute as my steps were diminishing to spot.

"What happened here?" I uttered scarcely and Arin responded before Ethan could.

"A heartless human killed-"

"Stop! No! I don't wanna hear further!"

No… That can't be! Such a young call from the heavens. I could drop in on someone pulling my legs, it was not at all hilarious! I just blinked unbeknownst to the experience I was gonna have today. I was all trembling there until it was Arin to jerk me.

"Are you alive?"

"Of course, I am, Idiot!"

Soon I discovered that the voice was of a little kid who had seen a snake. How weird? And I was perplexed to figure out about this kid to be at this place that too at midnight. The only thing I wish wasn't a live trap now. If it is, don't point your finger at me for not cautioning about my impatience.

But, by the appearance, I can say nothing clearly.

"What are you doing, kiddo?" He was frightened and was biting his tiny nails in trepidation. He deliberately made contact with my eyes and suddenly got thunderstruck not by my sight but by the shadow I noticed and the sight he caught in.

I turned ahead and stood strict when it was none but my foe, Khisae Kennedy. But… This time she wasn't alone but surrounded by black suits worn by men with… hockey bats… held in their firm hands that starved my pulse.

"Khisae? What longed for you here?"

"You. I longed for you and that fatty, Moon. Where is he?"

I drew breath well after those words mentioning she hasn't met Millou yet. But soon everything went in a mood-off when Khisae's hand was calling me instantaneously. Ack! My quick ache escaped from my mouth when Khisae abruptly grasped my neck in her rough hands, pinning my neck with her drought margins. They… are resentful.

"Where is he, Moon…?!"

"H, How could I know when I'm the one looking for him?"

She immediately plowed my neck away and I was coughing formidable because of the way she wrung my neck off me in such a short period. By then, a sudden loud rang in our ears, firing the eardrums. I was blank when I discovered Khisae's face fell to a side and Ethan huffed harder. What did he do?

I turned to Arin and he whispered. "Ethan slapped that girl's face."

Wh, What the heck?! Why did he do that?!

"Ah. Haha! You got the nerve to hit me, worthless. Don't tell the sh*t that you like Moon?"

"What if my answer is yes? What the fu*k you can do-"

Before Ethan could end his words, he got what he did. Khisae made her slap sound weighed down which blew up my nerves. I looked at them perplexed but at the same time, with unexpected lofty splendour in me.

"What are you doing, Ethan?"

"Who is she to suffocate you, Brother Fowler?!"

"Calm down, Ethan. I'll find out more." Without waiting for a while, I purposely punched Khisae's face. But she made her lofty laugh sound louder. With her hair flipped by her hand, she approached my eyes with her unbearable creepin' eyes.

"Brother Fowler? This is how you dressed yourself?-"

Before she could clarify her doubt. "Ms. Khisae, you've got a call."

I don't have a bit of info on what she exclaimed on the phone but all the men including Khisae left unexpectedly, fortunately. And… we failed to find Millou. After fleeing that kid at his respective house we all pushed to our places where anyhow all will meet at one point though the ways were diverse in coming.

I gave a gentle yet weary touch to the door handle when I was suddenly taken aback by a strange touch. Later when I had a close look it was nothing but a note written,

'I'm walking out of this country with my Brother. Tangwen belongs…to you, Moon. Millou.'

Why did you make such an unreasonable sacrifice, Millou? Is this what you actually wanna make sense of through those rough bodies I'm carrying around that person I yearn for? It's not simple to pay a deaf ear or blind eye. But I… appreciate your sacrifice of your love, Millou.

"Morning to myself."

Later that day I found none. No Millou, Not even Khisae including my shadow. That's how it makes me feel so weird although I have tried to hold their hands together. Maybe I'm too feeble to hold back those stiff palms, escaping quietly like a little cat.

I feel lonesome…now.

Everyone around me was just pouring out, spurning me when I was a person standing in the middle of the road like a ghost. I stood there for a long while witnessing people ambling through me. Elaborating me away with their frosty eyes. And I shrink my heart, holding my eyes tight so that the image of a smiling face doesn't get revealed.

"It's bad. I'm missing everything now."

I swapped to reality the moment I nudged myself to the corner of the corridor. Taped my legs with my hands and put my head on it, telling myself that everything would be back to normal soon when I knew it was just a candy lie.

How did I even end up this way? The life before shifting was far more promising than now. There's no point in regretting those who were meant to be temporary in my story. Maybe their chapters weren't so long to be with me today.

I just wish only Sunshine's chapters had stayed with me but at the same time, I need Tangwen to be mine too. Wishing upon two is difficult when I know none of them can ever come true.

I can't… stand it anymore…, Dear. Only if I could. Only if I could…

"Are you doing fine, Moon?"

Huh? My eyes flashed in a whine when I saw it was…my, my Sunshine! I gulped those memories, pushing me to cry out. That only makes me feel embarrassed in front of a little, I have known since my childhood as she was my… crush too.

"You're back, Sunshine."

"Yes, I'm back, Darling Moon. Was I late already?"

Yes, You are, Sunshine. "No, you aren't, Sunshine." Her smile counts for me. Rest of the matters are just unpleasant norms. Her quiet hands walked to me when I was sitting there with my astounded face. I… know you're the real one, Sunshine.

I rejected her hand by pulling my head into those gaps of my knees. I wished to have the one I yearned for but I guess there's no chance for that… now.

"Moon." Why don't you just– huh? It's you, Darling. "Tang?"

She did the same thing as Sunshine did. When I wasn't ready to accept that's true, I was abruptly pulled up by her. It was all of a sudden that I couldn't make my balance and pushed her against the wall. Ah-ah, those eyes… and her magnetic lips… are pulling that pervert evil hidden in me. What if I forfeit my control and do something unbecoming?

"T-Tang. Are you ok?"

"That's my words, Moon. What made you pull into a corner?"

That's rough. Are those words of hate? "I just wanted to…"

"Tangwen! We're getting late! Faster!"

A girl around her age called her with such an enthusiastic voice. She's looking so good, though. Her hazel eyes, plump red lips, and perfect posture. What if Tang finds someone else over me one day? Hold up! I will never let such a situation ever come!!

"Bring down your hands. I've to leave, Moon."

C'mon, Baby. That's not what I'm thinking about right now. I said nothing but held her chin gently lifting it to decrease the gap between those two cotton candies of ours. She flashed her eyes dumbfounded when she realized my eyes had already drowned in her gaze. Her hands were loosened to the wall and have gotten no reaction yet.

"Let's make it, Tang."

I took her face near to me. Thinking finally this kiss would put us together when I never expected such a thing to occur. But suddenly, I heard a loud voice that echoed on my face. Sh, she slapped me? It was absolutely unbelievable for me.

"Huh? Tang?"

"You'll never understand others' feelings, Moon! Never!"

"Eh? N-No, it's not true…" She had already left with no say.
