[POV: MOON FOWLER]
"Dear Moon…," Winter… Why is he filled with gloom? With a soft touch of his cheek, I looked with fascinating visions. "What happened?" He said nothing and held my hand gently. Flew a pretty kiss on my palm…, Something's wholly wrong with him.
He sighed slightly. Placed himself beside me and rested his head on my lap. Holding my hand to his heart. How fast… is she beating? "I know, you met… Tangwen before." I was just muted. I just don't know what to say at first. It's like my words are stuck in my throat, struggling to run off. There was silence for a while until I heard another question.
"It might be weird but… I just wanna say." He paused. Approached my hand with a soft glimpse and smooched my palm with his cotton lips. "When you guys know each other before then, why act like strangers?" He quickly sat up. My heart stretched out in a jolt.
His hands bordered me, making my back pull behind and my heart racing. When everything was lacking in fastness, all the leaves were rustling taking part in background music. Maybe this isn't what I was supposed to express. Perhaps! It's an order of his eyes to pull me closer and closer to his hypnotizing aroma.
But wait.
No.
"It's none of your business, Winter." I pushed him back with my palm and stood straight. Before taking a step towards the way out of the place, I just turned back to him. He was dusting out the leaves from his body.
"Why is it often none of my business, Moon?! Am I not worth knowing anything?! Why is it always someone to say something about you? Why not certainly you?!"
Too many inquiries. Hard to believe that he had dared to question me with indeclinable queries. "You're getting on my nerves, Winter. Stop all these unreasonable queries."
"Oh! Now these questions sound so unreasonable to you?! Huh! But for me, they were often questions with no answers! And the answers are with you. Answer me now, Moon."
"Shut down, Winter! Don't mess around! You've no right to force me to give fatuous answers!"
"They aren't pointless, Moon! You're just hiding them all, burying them all! It's not fair to be unfair to a person like me! I'm not the one who rumours your problems. Moon."
Huh? He's getting schmaltzy enough now. "Enough. I'm going."
"Where? Where are you heading to?!"
"Somewhere far from you! Winter Page!"
I was far enough away from him. What might these kids be doing? It must be fine for me if they don't aggravate Joshua. While I was in such a thought I heard familiar mouthpieces. I know it's bad to eavesdrop on others' weights but it's okay as long as they don't notice me.
"Just why don't you give up on Moon and be my girlfriend?" Millou… and Tangwen? Is it appropriate to talk about invisible people? Behind their back.
"Hm? I really can't, Millou! I still love her though I act like a stranger."
"You should halt your love for her in real-time, Tang! Why don't you love me then?"
"You? You were just my friend. Whereas Moon, she's my first love. The first."
'The first…?' Suddenly a loud noise and I jerked my blood out of my skin. Oh god!
"Sh*t!! WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ME, HUH? YOU-"
Millou slit his throat in yap. And my heart hooted in shrill cry. Just a gap, I might lose my heart into a pool of wary. I flashed behind Millou and held his hand as tighter as I could to skin him out. "Who…?" A comedown of words from Millou's tongue. And then I responded.
"Her Dear. Dare you to touch her with your filthy hands…!"
Tangwen was shocked and Millou followed her reaction toward me. He shoved my hand with his teeth crushing at me.
"Filthy hands? Yours or mine…, Moon?"
The glare he gifted me was least enough to boil my blood. "Moon?... What are you doing?" This question isn't what I expected from her. Though I rushed here to save her from her play-pretend boyfriend, It's fine yet she looks at me as a stranger. Tsk!
"Just to teach a guy how to behave with his girlfriend."
"Teach me? F*ck that word!"
"It isn't a human to f*ck it, Millou. How can you say me to f*ck someone invisible?"
I was smiling sheepishly but he quickly responded with a grip on my collar. "I'm not in the mood for your worthless jokes, Moon!" Worthless? Ah? That's enough, Millou…!
"Ah! Worthless-" But before I could complete…
"Stop it! First of all, it's your fault to interrupt, Moon. And don't you think it's inappropriate to do so?"
Huh? What…wait. Wait. She isn't Tangwen, right? Yah, she isn't that Tangwen who couldn't bear others' rubbish words on me. That Tangwen who can chase anyone to breathless for me. Is that really that past Tangwen…? Sometimes…, I wonder…Now I wholly wanna sink and die in her name. It's unbelievable how she changed for someone ridiculous like Millou! How can she?! I just, I just wanna kill him!
"It's all because of you, Tangwen." Oops! I shouldn't have let it out.
"What do you mean, Moon?" I learned you're not in such an adequate and stable ailment to figure out what I truthfully mean by this previous sentence. But still, let me, "I can't stand if anyone is ready to raise their hands on you. I don't care whether he's your boyfriend or play-pretend." Both were stunned like statues and looked at each other's faces in astonishment.
Of course, they do. They did acknowledge that I had eavesdropped on their conversation. This actually leaves no good impression on me but it approached me by itself and pulled me towards their unreasonable conversation like a… Magnet!
There will be no point in posting blame pictures of me on IG now, right? "Enough! Enough, Moon. Just leave now!" Tangwen's screams were like thunderstorms. I was so moved and my heart couldn't bear it at all. I said nothing and just left.
Ha… her words are still roaring in my ears. That Tangwen was invisible till now but today I saw a new Tangwen. That was a new form of heinousness, I couldn't bear that form of her…
She became too aggressive, impatient, and relentless. Her demeanour towards me is wholly unconditional disdain for me. Sigh… It's too much to face it now…
"Moon?" Hash! Her behaviour is fairly unbelievable to me. Ah-ah! "Moon!" Huh? Mom? What might have happened now? Why is she calling out my name out loud…? "What happened to you? Why have you fallen into such a depth of your thoughts?" Uhm…
"It's about inexpressible, Mom," I admit that her puzzled face has a point as my answer was that way. She flicked her index finger on my forehead and continued her query. "What dragged you into an unspeakable thought?" I held her hand and placed her beside me. Laying my head on her lap, I just sink into Tangwen's thoughts again.
She is my distraction now. A whole distraction. "It's all about a naughty friend, who had recently revealed her evilness." My Mom stroked my head gently and I placed my sight on an object still in my reflections. "A friend? Who might be that friend? Is that Yeran or Tangwen or Winter?" Winter? She thinks he is my friend? Woa, Mom you prove that you never misunderstand a situation like Uncle Ren.
"They might be anyone, but only about one I'm speaking to right now." I abruptly sat straight and said, "Mom. Can I ask you about something?" She nodded her head with a light smile.
I flashed dimly but then inquired, "Mom, how do you feel if your dearest one suddenly changes one day and acts like you were never a person in her sight?" My Mommy suddenly walked into caliginousness with blank eyes. Sudden transfer to her senses she replied,
"That's what I call a full stop to my happiness and remarkable days. Our dearest ones are the guys who can keep us cheerful though we get frustrated by them sometimes. We don't understand their value until they are gone one day from our life."
I truly believe that now. I can understand the value of her now.
But… am I late now? Is it too late to apologize and bring back the old Tangwen? I wonder if that's the truth. My untold sensations aren't significant unless I get to see you with someone – you know he isn't for you when your heart has me. Is that fair to be so inhumane though I was the one who had been in that standing a lengthy back ago?
"When you realize that you've lost a diamond from your life. You'll find reasons to dig them back to you. You'll surely do when you realize."
I-I… surely wanna do, Mom. I wanna have Tangwen back… to me.
"Will they come back for sure, Mom?"
"I can't say, Baby. But don't worry that friend of yours will surely acknowledge your hard work to have them back. Don't lose hope, Baby."
I just hope you don't prove happiness is bleak in the end, don't you Tangwen?
