Hearing him say that , I even failed to reply to him .. He wasn't there , he didn't know how well we clicked , he didn't know how wild and free she was with me while making love . She didn't seem bored , she looked lost and broken . I could see it in her eyes when we talked about the marriage . She looked like she was trapped and it looked like she was only there because of the kids . I could tell it when we had sex that she had never had anything like that . It was her first time , she was so innocent and now l just hopped to God that she doesn't hate herself for what she did . She cheated right but l don't mind having her again .
ADRIAN'S POV .
" What is her name ? , I see you lost , l can help you in searching for her " , After a good time , Justin came over and patted on my shoulder .
" You right am lost but there's no point in searching for her as l have tried and failed , l don't even know whether the name she gave me is her real name , it doesn't matter anyway , she doesn't want to be found" , l murmured and without waiting for his response , l walked out of the club.
ALEXA'S POV .
The kids and l decided on a movie night . It wasn't that we were going through the whole film , we have never done that , they always sleep in the middle of the film . Currently seated with them on the couch , l had my eyes on the television but my mind was far away . I was still shocked , l couldn't believe it that Mark texted me saying that he was going to be home early .
After the way he spoke to me in front of Chrissy , we haven't spoken yet . It's not like we speak much anyway but still l was surprised by his message . Though l inwardly told myself that perhaps Henry had told him to think about us ,l still just hoped that we could sit down as a family for once . Sit down just for the sake of kids .
Unbelievably few minutes only passed before Mark came home . He went straight to the shower and then made his way in the living room . On sitting down , he all had his gaze at me . I didn't know what his plan was but he also sat next to me . With my attention on the television , l tried to concentrate but l couldn't when had his eyes at me .
Tired of his stare , l reached out and I touched my face , maybe l had something on my face which was making him to stare at me . However just as l was running my hand over my face , he all of the sudden caught my hand in his and shockingly he brought it on his mouth and kissed it .
Seriously shocked , my mouth fall open in disbelief . He has never done that before . He even caught it without letting it go . Though it sounded ridiculous even that one look he was giving me was enough to make butterflies flutter in my stomach . " What is this all about ? " , I asked before pulling my hand away from his . This felt like a surreal and l didn't want to fall for it .
" I'm sorry for what l said yesterday , l didn't mean it , works have been a lot , l take it out on you when l shouldn't " , He murmured in a low voice and before l knew it , l felt tears burn in my eyes . l know this is what l have always wanted for a long time but it felt unreal .
" All l wanted to say is , am sorry for the way l have always treated you " , He added . He had sincerity in his eyes but still tears just kept brimming in my eyes . This was a dream . Yes I know it that l will forgive him , for the way he had always treated me but then .... but then there was something wrong . Once he gets to know that l slept with another man , l will lose him and the kids and losing my kids is the last thing I want to happen .
" Why don't you put the kids to bed and come over and join me " , I turned around at that and stared at the kids . They weren't listening to what we are talking about because Chrissy and Ivan were already sleeping on the couch and Jessica was focused on her tablet . " You carry Ivan , l will carry Chrissy " , John stands up and pulls Chris's hand in his arms .
I can't remember the last time l saw him carrying the kids like that . " Jessica it's getting late , come over and play with your tablet if you want in your room " ,l murmured . " Yes , night mum , love you " , she said while standing up . " Night too sweetie " , l replied with a smile .
" Night dad " , I held up my breath hoping that she would say love you to mark but she didn't add it . God ! She was my daughter but she wasn't simple , she was just like her grandma Sandra . l looked at her hoping that she would get me but she just glared at Mark and angrily walked away . Mark also clenched his jaw and wordlessly carried Chrissy upstairs .
