Chapter 35 - [Creating The Perfect Mana Circuit]

"Mmmm-" Dawn groaned rolling in the comfortable bed, Dawn yawned and slowly opened her eyes to welcome another marvelous day, she lazily stretched and rolled out of the bed falling to the ground, but it didn't hurt but she groaned once more and slowly got up and spoke with a yawn, "G'Mornin *Yawwwn* Chrono." Dawn eyes slowly adjusted to the sun shining through the window as she walked up to it and closed it slowly, "So what are you doin' sis?"

'..The sun is already out.' Emilia was just shocked by how fast the time had passed, Emilia straightened her back and lifted the open book with telekinesis by her side, "Studying."

Dawn looked at the floating book surprised and approached with curiosity, "Since when could you do that?" She pointed at the floating book close to Emilia, and tried to grab it but the book was suddenly raised to above her head, she looked at Emilia with helplessness as the little dragon smiled and sighed, "Can i?"

Emilia chuckled, and lowered the book for her again and spoke, "I learned how to play with mana like this two or three-ish days ago? Yes, it was when Ellis was begging you to help him pass the crown since he was tired of being the pawn of the church and stuff." Emilia opened the book and the pages started to flip extremely fast to the start, then she put it in a desk for Dawn and pulled a stool for her with telekinesis and stood by her side.

Dawn thanked her and flipped the first page and as she began to read she was instantly shocked by the information that book had, "Wait, there are diffrent species of dragons?" Dawn was confused and that was normal, as far people knew there were only red dragons according to literature books, some churches also say to have been blessed by a holy white dragon but besides that, there were no other information about dragons as detailed as this.

Emilia nodded 'since she is here, might aswell read the book together with her, it should be fun.' Emilia stood up stretching her neck a litte to look at the book "Pretty much, i didn't got to read all the book yet so do you want to study together?" Dawn smiled and nodded and began to read as Emilia helped her to understand some concepts and words until Dawn could catch up to were she stopped.

"This is the part were i left off!" Emilia spoke with excitment, Dawn smiled at Emilia enthusiasm and began to read out loud, "Elemental Increase stage, a dragon naturally breaths it's element and get stronger naturally, this is a feature that happens in every stage but here is the most present the stronger a dragons talent is, the faster they get by doing nothing. The main characteristic of this stage is the high amount of elemental density that a dragon gathers, to reach the next stage a dragon must condense all the elemental energy with mana and then fuse both. This stage also solidifies the element affinity of the dragon and in rare cases the affinity of the element could rank up from natural Fire to Solar element, it isn't a rare occurence but it isn't common either."

Dawn flips the page as she continues to read the next stage, "Soul Expansion stage is as said, although we cannot see souls, the dragons surely can, their eyes are better than any tool we could create after all. Soul Expansion is ignited once the mana and the elemental affinity achieves the apex and touches their souls, The soul continously expands depending on how much they can feed it with their mana, this stage turns their superficial like affinity to true affinity wich means they can use the elements without any downsides as their elements can't be considerated 'Physical' anymore, as a fire from a dragon of the Soul Expansion stage isn't the same as one of the Elemental Increase as it can burn anything, be it physical or abstract such as emotion, the soul, emotions and more, this fire can only be extinguished by another dragon at the Soul Expansion stage with water affinity. But independent of the dragon they have a fire inside their draconic heart called the origin, so independently of wich element it is a dragon can breath fire and of course, they could breath out rocks if they have the earth element but they usually use the 'terrestrial origin fire' instead, a fire dragon can breath out it's original fire or the 'primordial origin fire' and so on. The Soul Expansion stage is the most important minor stage for dragons, because there is only a limited amount of time where they can 'feed' their souls with mana until the soul expansion ignites, after it ignites it will grow larger and faster by the amount of the mana that the dragons fed to their soul." Emilia looked at herself and started to pounder wich stage she is.

Dawn looked at Emilia and smiled before resuming their reading, "Soul Stabilization, after the crazy expansion of their soul, it starts to stabilize and subliminate. This is the last stage that we actually have information off, the other 3 major stages could be guessed what they do by their names but we can't be sure, at this stage a dragon can finally use it's breath ability without backlashes and independent of their elemental affinity, the dragon breath of a Soul Stabilization stage has been shown to be as strong as our terrestrial E.D.G railguns wich have the power of a dwarf star, though they rarely use it. A dragon in this stage can also feel the flame of their heart beating and expanding, occasionally feeling pain when their flame gets stronger. Another important thing to note is that the larger their soul are the longer it takes for it to stabilize, the elements on the Soul Stabilization stage also seems to start to affect the body of a dragon wich leads to a theory that to reach the first major stage a dragon need to strenghten their body by the use of very pure and condensed elemental energy. Neverthless, rarely a dragon achieves Soul Stabilization stage below 200 years."

Emilia immediately gasped while Dawn was trying to picture what a railgun was, Emilia looked at Dawn and said enthusiastically, "I think i am a Soul Stabilization stage!" Dawn looked at her confused, shouldn't a dragon of that stage be 200 years old? Why is she so small? "Aren't you a bit.. Small?" Emilia puffed her cheeks and replied, "I'm just very talented!" Sighing at Emilia cheeky answear she got up, she could feel someone approaching, it was Ellis, after all who more could come in this castle besides the Emperor? The higher ups of the church clearly don't have that much courage to disturb a dragon.

*Knock Knock*

Dawn walked to the door and opened it, Ellis at the other side at the door looked like he would knock one more time but the door opened before he could do so, he coughed and lowered his hand, "Come, there will a banquet today." Since Dawn was declared to be the apostle of the dragon she had to participate in all commodities and festivals according to tradition while the dragon rests, Dawn nodded and bid farewell to Emilia and left. Emilia kept looking at the door like how a dog sees her owner leaving and sighed, "She really do feel like a sister.. Well, let's resume my plan to become the strongest and the thing that is currently on the top of the list is.. Creating a mana circuit!"

After hearing her own words, Emilia had a briliat idea! "I should create a to do list so that i don't forget anything i want to do!." Emilia lifted her paw and the drawer of a nearby desk opened and an empty scroll came flying toward Emilia and opened then Emilia moved her paw again, quill and ink came flying only stopping infront of Emilia, the quill was dipped into the ink and it began to write on the scroll, "Chrono to do list, 1-Create a mana circuit, 2-Once i become the strongest play the weakest like those op manhwa protagonists.." Of course Emilia wrote all in english to make sure no one would be able to read it then she began to write on her diary after she got her to-do list done, twenty minutes later she was ready to figure out how to create a mana circuit.

"Alright, create a mana circuit.. How do i start? It shouldn't be as easy as just taking in mana and condensing it inside my body, right?" Emilia thought about some novels she had read in the past but quickly shook her head as those methods would never work, thus she decided to lay on the cold ground and stare blankly at the ceiling, letting her mind run wild with ideas, she lifted her paw and looked at the yellow marks that runned all around her body and had an idea, "Yes, that can work!"

Mana is the essence of nature unlike Aura that comes from living beings or cosmic bodies, in other words it is easily adaptable to any situation as long one have a great imagination and simple knowledge of the concepts. Emilia started to pull in mana toward her scales and her marks suddenly started to absorb the foreign energy, once it entered her body Emilia flame continuously refined the mana without Emilia noticing it, the more she took the more the yellow marks that ran across her body began to shine and her mana absorption rate started to increase, in a few minutes the city outside started to feel the effects, the less mana there is in the enviroment, the less the nature can affect the surroundings, this caused an eerie feeling to everyone in the city, the feeling of something missing around of them.

Minutes became hours and so it went, at some point Ellis and Dawn began to feel this sudden phenomenom and decided to find out what was causing this by asking Emilia's help but it would take sometime to reach the castle now that they were on the palace.

Emilia's yellow marking suddenly started to grow, shift and change. The yellow marking on her back moved like a river to her eyes and enhancing her vision and then going into her mouth leading some faint spiral marks appearing in one of her cheeks before rushing down her neck to her two front paws were two circles were formed in the front of her paw, new yellow markings also started to appear on her belly almost looking like a clock ticking, once more the markings that were on her back divided spreaded to her wings, tail and hind legs, and now the yellow markings that were hard to notice were now practically screaming to be looked at. Emilia body was on a sleeping state as this whole process happened, her soul could feel all her body change and advance, the flame in her heart growing stronger and more stable, pillars that were only starting to form suddenly became complete and inbetween those pillars her flame rushed in creating a gap that soon became a small wormhole, the wormhole connected their current dimension to a next one, a higher one were only time rules, the Ancestral Origin of Time. Emilia consciouness was sucked by this wormhole, when her consiouness 'woke' she could perceive herself ontop of 'water', below this water there were endless speck of dusts, although she could not see she could feel what each of these small specks of dust represented, universes. In front of time the natural laws, principles and rules are nothing, time reigns over everything and decrees how everything works, the origin is the source of all time in the omniverse. Endless, truly endless.

In the distance there was a figure playing with paper boats on the water while holding a drawing that was quite familiar to Emilia, how could she forget that figure afterall, she drew it.
