Chapter 15 - The Mourning (Part 2)

Cartesian is hiding a fair amount of gold and wealth; all it requires is somewhat more persistence and perseverance to find them. However, the three largest and most tucked away treasures have yet to be discovered. They are said to be hidden in the forest, desert, and under the sea, according to the prophecy. Several creatures have also dared to search for lost treasures, but none have succeeded. So, for the time being, they will prioritize looking for the treasure in the forest because this is not a joke to look for, and they have no idea what creature there is in the place they are going to, but the oneness they actually appreciate is also desired for them to be friends with all creatures in other territories. One of those who seek to achieve one of the hidden treasures in the Cartesian world are the vampires, but no matter how persistent they are in their search, which they endure and sweat almost every day just to find the treasures they have none blessed since according to the belief, treasures only show when they want to, and to whom they want to show, so finding treasures is not really easy especially if you want a lot of power and wealth.

"I wish for you to find the treasure, but for now, I wish for peace with the agreement that will take place later." Yolanda said as she smiled and refrained from showing the concern she was feeling at that moment because she knew she was just too much of a thinker, which was not pleasant at times.

"Are you sure you won't take our army? What if in the middle of our destination to the Hyena territory, someone blocks our path and treats us badly and worse—"

"Yolanda..." Samuel calmly called his wife's name, he did not know how to explain what he wanted to convey here, but as much as possible he really did not want his wife to worry. Because it seemed like a thorn in his heart, he knew that when his wife was worried, he did not seem to be convinced of what he was going to do, and he was restless as if he needed to do something.

"Samuel, I am not hostile to your policy choices; I just want to make sure that you are in excellent condition. I am your wife, I just want you to be well." Yolanda said that in those moments, she could see a lot of concern in her voice, she did not want to look like a villain and she did not want it to appear that she was really against all the decisions that came out of her husband's mouth.

Though her concern is just dominating her in that period, and as a wife she wants what will be good for those she loves in life. She can not handle it when something bad happens to Samuel, her conscience will never handle it especially if she knows that from the beginning she has the ability to prevent any disaster. She wanted to be with the man in her last breath, she did not want Yna to grow up without a father, and despite that she knew that the girl would not be able to cope if something happened to either of them. Yolanda took a deep breath and tried to calm her mind, even she could not understand herself at that moment.

She was pondering if is she really worried or is she just too much of an overthinker that she can not find a place where she should think unpleasantly.

"I understand you. But sometimes we also have to bet, and risk our lives just to prove ourselves, and prove our loyalty to something and someone." Samuel stated emphatically, as if he would want his wife to fully comprehend that much of what he was just about to do was not just for display. He would have shown his commitment to the Hyena territory by having to travel on its own. That is, even though it cost him his life, he was pleased he took the risk to prove that his desire for unity, which would bring so much influence to the entire Cartesian, was actually the truth.

"Exactly! You have proven your loyalty and commitment, but you have cost your own life." Yolanda said, there was an emphasis on her words at that moment, but she still couldn't erase her overwhelming concern that her face full of frustration couldn't cover. He knows that what Samuel is saying has a point, by mediating without bringing the men he can only prove his loyalty to the Hyena territory. Not a single territory has yet agreed on the reason that everyone has their own worlds.

If the territory of the vampires is ever discussed, it cannot be expected that a healthy discussion about unity, for the good of all, will come from them. Because all they think about is wealth, and how to grow their territory and strengthen the powers they have. They are the most selfish and soulless in all the Cartesian territory, they never thought about how others would feel, because the only thing that mattered to them was what would be good for their race. They will never waste toil, and sweat on things that will not benefit them and they will receive nothing in return. Because of the bad behavior of their leader, it has also caused his subordinates to become infected with him, their behavior is no different from that of their leader. All greedy for power, authority, and wealth. That when someone talk about unity, it seems that all they can do is laugh at the insult.

When it comes to the Serpent's territory, their leader can never be trusted, because she regards mortals as food, crossing into other worlds is strictly forbidden, but she does not follow anyone. He has nothing else in mind but what will benefit her, she only thinks of herself, and not of other beings. Therefore, it is impossible for her to be one of the ruling unity when his every action is not seen as good behavior. In the Serpent's territory they seem to be their own and no leader is recognized because Natalia is no longer attending to what should be her role as a leader, and in a high position. She only uses her authority to fear someone when it is necessary, and she has to punish someone for belittling her, or for the reason that someone has done something to her that she thinks is unpleasant.

As for the Golem's territory, they are never open to unity, as they have long since closed their territory to anyone who dares to enter it, with good intentions or not, they do not allow him to enter their area . They want peace and quiet and they think that only they can provide that and they can only achieve that when they are no longer connected to other territories. They believe that when their place is open to everyone, their kindness will only be abused, it seems that they will no longer be respected and their humanity will be trampled upon. They want to be as private as possible, if in solitude they find happiness, they will choose that for life. They themselves will stay away from something that they know will cause trouble and war, they never want to get involved in that. Because they don't want any of their subordinates to die, because each of them is valued by their leader.

In Aqua's territory, mermaids are difficult to tame, they don't trust easily. Despite their kindness and helpfulness, they never give in easily. You first have to work hard and win their hearts to get them to agree to something. They don't care about wealth, or power because the only thing that matters to them is peace, just like the Golem's long desired territory. If they are told about the treasures that mortals will bury in the earth to prevent disasters in their world, which will also benefit their place because it will last for many generations, the mortals will readily agree mermaid But first you have to get their trust, it is not easy, but if you want it then you need to work hard for it.

It was a huge impossibility when each territory came to an agreement, but Samuel was too determined that the same thing would happen when the time was right. He did not know when, but he was sure it would happen one day.

"That's what heroes are, aren't they? They are only honored when they are dead." Samuel said as he looked at his wife, there was a trace of inexplicable emotion on his face at that time.

"I admire your desire and principle, you are ready to die for Cartesian. But I hope you think about how we will feel, we are also your family, Samuel." Yolanda mentioned as tears suddenly fell from her eyes. The reason why worry suddenly appeared in Samuel's face.

"Yolanda..." Samuel said calmly, he was about to speak but his wife turned his back on him, which is why he suddenly closed his eyes tightly. He didn't know what to do, he was so confused.
