"Can we go over there?." She pointed to the grass.
"If you wish to." He smiled and she nodded.
"Okay then." He held her hand as they walked down to the grass then she sat.
Lorcan was already lying down looking up to the sky.
"Lay down, it's such a beautiful view here Wife." He turned his face to look at her.
"Come." He put his hand on her waist helping her lay on her back.
"They're beautiful." She smiled and looked into the sky.
"I've always enjoyed looking at the stars at night." He kept a serious face.
"Really?." She carefully placed her head on his chest and placed her hand on his stomach.
"Are you okay?" He asked looking down at her.
"I'm in the arms of a great warrior, so yes I'm okay." She smiled.
"Never heard you said such about me before Wife."
"I've heard you've defeated thousands of men in battle and came out victorious. I'm proud."
"But you're scared of me and you think I'll one day hurt you." He lowered his gaze.
"I know you won't, You're a caring husband and I know you'll never hurt me. You've always protected me."
"I'll always protect you, I'll never let anything bad happen to you." He patted her head.
Reina was quiet and he knew she had already fallen asleep. He carefully removed his upper robe and spread it on the grass then he placed her gently on it, He moved close and drew her back to his chest then he placed his arm on her waist cuddling her.
He really wanted to tease and play with her here and now but he just couldn't, not when they are on the run. They weren't safe cause Theodore's men would continue their search tomorrow.
He kissed her softly on her neck then he went up to her ears and lick it, He caressed her skin and also played with her hair.
"Goodnight Wife." He whispered and kissed her softly on her cheek.
*************
It was morning now and they needed to continue their journey.
"Reina." He tapped her cheek.
"Let me sleep some more please." She frowned in her sleep and Lorcan could only grin at how childish she was right now.
"No Wife, I need to get you to safety please get up,or I'll carry you." He knew she would get up now cause of what he said. She so hated when he carried her like a baby in front of everyone.
"I'm up, I'm up." She opened her eyes and he helped her got up to her first.
"Careful." He held her waist guarding her from falling.
"I don't want to go to that palace Your Highness." She looked away.
"And why?. He tilted his head.
"I..I just don't like it there." She frowned.
"Well you must have a reason Wife." He grinned, he knew she said that cause she didn't want Princess Lyra anywhere close to him, staying in her palace would only bring Her close to Lorcan and she didn't want that.
"I'm sorry Wife but You know we don't have a choice right now, we would leave once everything in the palace is calm." He explained and she reluctantly nodded in response.
"Fine." She folded her lips and creased her brows.
"I like it when you act like a child Wife." He touched her chin.
"Come on, our horses are ready let's go."
They got to the palace and they were welcomed cause they knew Lorcan. They were taken into their rooms and was asked to join the Family for dinner that evening.
They freshened up and changed into nice clothes.
"Must we have dinner with them?."
"Yes, we've got to honor it, we're in their palace not ours." He explained.
"I'm just not ready to meet anyone."she felt sick in the stomach.
"Lyra is a nice lady Reina."
"Well I wasn't talking about her!."
"Okay but why did you apply make up?." He asked.
"Nothing, just want to look good, or don't you want me to?." She asked.
"I do but it's way to much,I'm sorry to say but I don't like it. Please go wash it off." He said calmly.
"No, let it be." She said.
"Can we go?." He grinned knowing his wife was now jealous, he loved this side of her.
The table was set and the Two Princess, a Prince and the king was seated at the table.
Reina did her best to look pretty. She wasn't good in wearing makeup but she did it anyway just to show Lyra that she was more better. She looked like a clown and anyone would laugh seeing her like that. The makeup was perfect but the lips stain was on her cheek making her look funny.
"Your Majesty." Lorcan slightly bowed.
"Prince Lorcan of Samai Kingdom, what a nice visit please sit."
Lyra was seated at the right hand side of the King, she watched Lorcan's every move and she smiled at him in a way that annoyed Reina.
"Lorcan." Lyra smiled at him not minding Reina who sat by his side.
"Princess Lyra, pretty as always." He smiled.
"You'll never change Lolly." She ate slowly.
"Lolly??." Who was that?? Reina thought as she tried to remain calm.
"And who is she?." The King asked.
"This is Reina, My Wife." Lorcan said out loud.
Lyra looked at her Sister and she did same too.
"You're married?." She creased her brow staring at Reina.
"You never told us Lorcan." The king smiled.
"Just wanted to keep it low. My apologies Your Highness." He bowed his head.
"That's okay."
"Mmm...Regnia." She looked at Reina.
"It's Reina Lyra." Lorcan corrected.
"My apologies Lolly. So..Reina you've got a lipstick stain on your cheek. I'll help you clean up." She turned to Lorcan then she clapped her hands in the air and two maids rushed in.
"Take her to the bathroom." She said to them.
"Thank you." Reina forced a smile and followed the maids.
They led her to the bathroom, she asked them to leave as she looked at her herself in the mirror. There was an embarrassing lipstick stain on her cheek.
It's so pained her that Lyra was the one who told her about the stain. She didn't ever want to see her but she did. She was so beautiful just as Livia described.
She didn't really know her but she already know she didn't like her. First she tried getting Lorcan's attention and now she made Reina felt stupid.
She cleaned the stain as angry tears rolled down her cheek. She hated the way Lorcan smiled at her and showered her with compliments. She felt He shouldn't have done that in her present, she knew that if she continued to stay here Lyra would somehow take Lorcan away from her.
"Why didn't he tell me about the stain?" She cried wondering how she'd go back there to look at Lyra.
Lorcan saw the stain he would have at least told her before she came to the Dinning room but he didn't. She felt so humiliated, not just that but in front of a Princess she saw as a competition.
