"I'm sorry Wife. I didn't mean to disobey."
"Well you did and now I don't want to speak to you." She frowned.
"You should be crown queen of angry wives in the kingdom." He teased.
"Now you know how it feels to see someone touch me but you allowed that maid seduced you." She turned around putting her arms across her chest.
"You're still angry, so I'd just go spend time with My Mistress." He got up and walked to the door when she hugged him from behind.
"Don't leave. I mean you're still in a bad condition,You should rest." She took his had and led him to the bed.
"I've got work Reina. I will see you soon." He walked out of the room.
She heard a knock .(knock)
"It's Xenia My Lady." She waited for confirmation before she came in.
"Please come in." She waited to see her face.
"My Lady." She wore a sad face.
"Is everything alright Xenia?." She sat up and gave space for her to sit.
"His Highness asked me to leave."
"Why?, did you offend him?." She asked.
"No, Don't worry he'll explain everything to you but for now I need to leave." She stood up and hurried out.
"Xenia?, Xenia!" Reina called out to her but she didn't stop.
She got out of bed and walked in search for His Highness. Just by the door she saw a body builded man. He was a royal guard but had a higher rank. She had seen him before but she didn't know where.
"Have I met you before?." She asked wondering what he was doing there.
"Yes My Lady, I'm one of His Highness's Men." He bowed.
"Oh I see, He just stepped out so you might want to wait for him outside." She started walking through the hallway as she noticed he kept following her.
She turned back "Are you following me?." She asked.
"I'm guarding you My Lady. His Highness said I shouldn't leave your side." His deep stern voice echoed.
"I can manage. No need to worry." She gave a faint smile.
"His Highness would kill me if I left you."
"Fine. Do you know where he is? Can you take me to him?." She asked.
"Not yet My Lady. The Highnesses are in the throne room."
"Oh, so what's your name?."
"I'm Matthew My Lady." He bowed
"Here he comes." He turned around to see Lorcan walking from afar.
"I was looking for you Your Highness." She went to him.
"The horses are ready Your Highness." A man said walking with about seven men.
"Are you going for a war?." She whispered.
"I will explain much later." He went into the palace and came out with clothes.
"Yes Commander, from what I heard he was poisoned. I don't think he will survive." One of the men said.
"Don't say that he's still alive but he's bedridden." Another said.
"Who were they talking about?." Reina said to herself. She spotted Lorcan coming out of the palace. The horses arrived and he helped her got on Kirah (Lorcan's Favorite Horse).
"Be careful." He said sweetly and she nodded.
He got on the horse and they rode out of the palace.
Once they left the palace she was curious to know what was happening. "Where are we going?." Reina held his waist tight.
"We just need to go far from here Reina." They we're moving fast and she felt like throwing up, she held his waist tight so she wouldn't fall.
"I'm I too fast?." He asked.
"No, I.. "
"Have you ever been on a horse?." He asked. She shook her head in response.
They rode for about an hour and Reina felt tired and really needed to throw up.
"Do you want to rest?." He asked knowing how tired she must have been.
"Yes please."
He slowed down and they got off the horse. The men that came from behind all came off their horse and laid on the grass , they were in a circle resting.
Lorcan led Reina behind a tree as she vomited. He rubbed her back making her feel okay.
"We are away from the palace now, do you mind telling me where we are going?." She asked as he led her to sit on the grass.
"The King was poisoned and I don't think he'll survive. We don't know how it happened that was why we left. Who knows who would be poisoned next."
"I'm so sorry. That's a really great problem to the kingdom." She looked down at her hand.
"Theodore poisoned the king. He just couldn't wait to be crowned king, Right now Both brothers wants each other's head."
"He shouldn't be the next king for what he did." She said.
"He can't be king except the people decides, they know what they want."
"We all know what would happen if he becomes King. He'll come after me and try to Kill me. We need to go far from this Kingdom."
"But you did nothing wrong to him, why would he come after your head?."
"He knows if I'm alive he can't be king. He wants to get rid of me and make you his wife and I wouldn't ever let that happen." He cupped her face. The thoughts of having Theodore touch her made her scared.
"You can't let him have me." She shook her head with tears rolling down her cheek.
"I will never let him be king and I will never let him have you. He's a monster and he would never touch You Wife." He assured as he wiped off tears from her face.
"But we've got no where to go." She cried.
"We do." He replied.
"Your Highness, Its getting late we should be on our way. They might be coming after us." Matthew the Army Commander said.
He nodded and turned to his Wife who looked really scared and worried.
"We should leave now. Be strong, I'm here with you and I wouldn't let anything bad to happen to you." He hugged her and they got back on the horse.
This time they rode for longer hours till they reached Santok Kingdom.
