Jack and Ava passed most of the five-hundred-mile journey in silence, both lost in their thoughts. But it was a comfortable silence. They drove through the night to reach River City as soon as possible.
"We can pick up our bus tickets from there, and also gain access to free Internet from the library," Ava explained. 'We went on a field trip to River City when I was thirteen. Had to look up our family trees.'
"Oh yeah," Jack replied with a grin. "Why am I not surprised that you would want to look up the great Danes' Family History in a Library? And in an equally great place like the Colt Library?" Ava shrugged in response and Jack smirked before continuing. 'I read about that, by the way. It's the place to go if you're into all kinds of stuff... I am just curious to know; is your kind of family even logged there?"
