Chereads / Beatrice and the Lord / Chapter 3 - Tea Party 1

Chapter 3 - Tea Party 1

"Don't run far from the wooden part Beatrice."

"Don't worry Grandpa Pablo, I'm no longer a little kid."

The older man sighed, as he watched her run down the lane.

He was thankful to the moon goddess that she has finally gotten adjusted to the Eastern border.

Although they stayed far away from humans and other creatures, it was impossible to keep her from roaming around.

He smiled.

She had grown to be a pretty woman, and he was proud.

"She's going to hurt something Uncle." He heard the other child say.

"You're supposed to go after your sister Mel, not say things that are not true."

"She goes around hitting things and throwing things." Mel frowned and huffed.

"Ahhh.." They both heard a scream.

"Told you so."

Mel ran off as quickly as she could, and when she got to the scene where the yell had come from, she glared at her cousin and huffed.

"Thought you were dead."

"Isn't she beautiful?" Beatrice asked as she caressed the skin of the little rabbit she had caught.

"I'm already dressed Beatrice, and remember today is the day we go to the Town." Mel hissed.

Beatrice's eyes widened and she stood up quickly, letting the rabbit go.

"If I get you again, I will keep you as my pet." She waved at the rabbit that had long entered its hole.

"Let's go!"

Hours passed and the two sisters were already in the Town.

The was a party going on, and all maiden were asked to attend.

"Is it a tea party Milord?" Beatrice turned to her sister.

They had arrived at the venue and it was indeed a huge Mansion just like the girl in the village had told them.

"Are you trying to act like a maiden of the Elites, Milady?" Mel asked, dramatically, putting up with her sister.

Beatrice chuckled, waving her fan.

"I am an Elites sister."

"A fallen Elite." Mel corrected and they burst into laughter.

"Seeing two ladies outside the party, I'd love to think that they are waiting for someone."

They both turned to the voice.

The man had a royal robe on, and a beautiful pair of eyes.

Large and broad muscles, with a smile on his lips.

"I'm sorry Sir, we were just admiring the view outside." Mel was the first to speak as she gave the man a bow.

"Trust me when I say the view inside is much better." He said and gave them another smile before walking away.

Just when he was about to go into the mansion, he turned and sniffed..and his eyes met that of Beatrice.

"Weird." He gave another smile before disappearing to the other part of the mansion.

"He's a Wolf."

"Yes, he is." Beatrice nodded, as they both headed for the door.

Being the only vampire In the land of Viscoria was hard.

At least they could stay away from trouble and that was the best thing for them.

"He didn't seem like someone that would harm another." Mel shrugged.

"I guess I am the only lady in Viscoria that has not seen the Lord yet," Beatrice said, and Mel giggled.

"Pardon me Milady, no one asked you to hide in your room each time he visited the villages." Mel stuck out her tongue.

"Be careful there, dear servant. I eat people for breakfast."

Beatrice sighed, as she looked around.

She was getting tired already. She hated parties, talk more of a tea party!

All they knew was to drink and discuss who to hunt.

Just as she looked up, her eyes met with that of someone and she froze.

He stood on the stairs of the third floor.

He was so far away but her eyes met him, and damn his Amber-Golden eyes made her freeze.

When she blinked her eyes, he wasn't there again.

Beatrice could have sworn that she had seen someone there.

She had clear eyesight, that was one of her abilities.

"Beatrice!" Mel half yelled, and she snapped out.

"Huh, quit yelling.. we're surrounded by wolves." Beatrice glared at her sister.

"Yeah, I would have never done that in the first place if my sister didn't space out while staring at the ceiling. Pardon me, Your Majesty." Mel said sarcastically.

"He's here already, that's why I called."

"Where is he?" Beatrice asked, staring around.

"With the lady in white," Mel answered.

Beatrice looked towards the part Mel had pointed to.

It was the man!

"He's the one?' She asked again and he nodded.

Never has she met someone as handsome and pretty as him.

Was he God, even Lucifer would not be that close to his handsomeness.

When their eyes met again for the second time that morning..she looked away and turned to her sister.

"I told you." Mel smiled and waved her hands.

"Is it just me or did they both of you decided not to enjoy today's tea party? Any reason why Milady's?"

"Not at all Milord, my sister here is getting acquainted with the Party, she has never gone to one before."

"Pardon me for my little knowings Milord, unlike My Lord, this little Maiden girl has a lot on her plate rather than attend parties," Beatrice said, glaring at her sister.

"Tea parties are always better for maidens to attend. You've met the Lord already." His voice seemed amused and he traced her eyes to the man with Miss Helbert.

"Do you want a proper introduction, Miss Beatrice?"

"Aye Milord, who I'm I to go to the Lord." She said and smiled at him.

"Trust me, you are everything." He whispered the last part.

"Ahh Milord, I think it's time I and my sister here take a leave.." Beatrice said again.

"Zane."

"Milord?'

"My name is Zane, for a reminder." He smiled at them and before they could know it, he was already pushing them to the stairs.

"Milord." He bowed and so did they.

"Zane, how of wonder you're here. Is my mother treating you right?" The man in front of them asked.

"Hmm, I want to introduce you to two new faces I saw today. Beatrice and Mel." Zane said, his face boring no expression as it was a few minutes ago.

The man in front of them said nothing as well, as his eyes kept staring at the woman that looked like she was about to dash out the door.

"Little Beatle."
