Jeremy sat at a table at The Aviary. A really fancy restaurant. He always had his lunch here on Tuesdays. He loved their food and services. He usually paid for the whole place any time he visited. But now he didn't need to that anymore because the restaurant owner would gladly reserve the whole place for him every Tuesdays.
He sat there as he chewed on his food. And then Lucas came to stand right in front him.
"Yes?." Jeremy asked. Putting the words what do you want?, and why are you standing right in front of me as l eat? in one word.
"Sir. Mr Grey is right outside."
Jeremy groaned. "Tell him he can wait until I'm done with my lunch." Jeremy said casually as he continued to chew his food.
"I would, but his with Miss Williams. And he says she is the one who wants to see you."
Hearing this Jeremy paused and wondered. And finally told Lucas to let them in.
Melissa walked into the restaurant with Tony. The place looked really fancy. The decor and the table settings were simply well done. But no one was here. The place was empty. She wondered why. Then she spotted Jeremy over at the far end of the restaurant. She felt a little nervous seeing him again.
She and Tony walked over to the table were Jeremy sat.
"I told you to stop coming here every Tuesday. Tony said immediately they got to the table.
"And why is that?" Jeremy asked.
"It's predictable. Anyone can guess you'll be here at this time. It's dangerous. But I'm sure you don't care."
"That's right l don't. Hello Miss Williams." Jeremy said. Turning his attention from Tony and addressing Melissa.
"Hi."
"Please sit." Jeremy told Melissa. And she sat across him.
"I'll be over at the bar if you need me." Tony said and excused himself.
Melissa looked at the man seating right across her and she almost forgot the reason why she came. He looked even more handsome than the last time she saw him.
"To what do l owe the visit Miss Williams." Jeremy asked.
" Mmm. Well I came here to tell you something."
"Then, go on. Say what you came here to say."
Raising her head she looked into his eyes " l want to express my appreciation and thank you for helping me."
Jeremy was wasn't sure what to say, the only thing he could do was look at her gorgeous face. Her blue eyes were captivating, they had a nice sparkle to it like diamonds. He had never seen such gorgeous eyes. And her hair was extraordinary. It was red and lush and beautiful. It was tie up in a messy bun. She just looked stunning.
Melissa waited for Jeremy to say something but he didn't. He said nothing he just watched her with his dark eyes. She felt like those eyes could see through anyone's mind. Or look into someone's soul.
"I don't need your appreciation." Jeremy said coldly. "Just tell me the real reason why your here."
A little stunned by his coldness towards her and quite offended by it. Melissa replied " well if your still so angry with me then l don't see the use to care so much about me getting my job back and going as far as threatening my ex boss about it."
Jeremy smiled revealing his angel white teeth. The little lady was upset. This wasn't the first time he had seen her angry. And he like it. She looked really adorable.
"I didn't threaten your.. ex..boss."
"No. I'm sure you didn't. You just sent someone to do it for you."
"Exactly."
"Well there's no need for that. I don't want to work for Miss Phillips anymore. I would really appreciate it if you gave her back her studio."
"And who says l was doing any of this for you?" Jeremy said as he leaned back on his chair. Purposely trying to annoy Melissa. He was curious to what she would do if he annoyed her to some extent.
Melissa who wasn't aware of Jeremy's intention. Was now confused and upset. But she wouldn't let him make a fool of her.
"Then may l ask why someone like you would need an art studio?"
"And is it wrong if someone like me has one?" Jeremy answered Melissa's question with another.
"No off course not. Rich people like you should own everything. But please leave the studio for the poor woman."
"The poor woman?" Jeremy scoffed "From what l heard she was awful to you. And yet you come here with the intention of helping her get her studio back."
This time around it was Melissa's turn to smile. Jeremy wondered why she smiled. But hoped he wouldn't stop because she looked breathtaking when she did.
"Your not doing all this for me remember. So l don't see why you should care how she treated me in the past."
Jeremy was left speechless by her statement. He smiled. " Fine. I'll give her back the studio."
Melissa eyes lit when she heard what he said. But she then heard him say an "lf."
"If what?" She asked.
"If you come work for me. Since you don't want to go back to your old job anymore. I need a new graphic designer. And your files says you can do that."
Melissa just stared at him trying to process everything he had said.
"Think fast Miss Williams this offer won't last long." Jeremy said interrupting her thoughts.
"Fine. I'll work for you. As long as Miss Phillips keeps her studio."
"She will."
"Good."
