Chapter 15 - Chapter 15

Suddenly realizing the man in front of her was still waiting for her response, she winked at him and shrugging her shoulders she walked past him. "or you don't like this place?" the man continued reaching to her new position. She sighed visibly tired and pissed off, "now this man's not gonna be my problem already" she muttered, the man continued as though not reading herood, "I'll tell you what , this is my community and I bet you'll enjoy being here" he said smiling. She looked around for her grandmother, "wow that's nice" she finally said. He smiled, "oh you're so cool (he scratched his hair smiling again), if you don't mind I can take you around..." He stopped abruptly by the weird stare she gave him, "I mean if you don't mind...." Just then she heard an old woman's voice, croaked enough to be sick grandma's voice, "I'm looking for my grandchild which also got in this train" she said perturbed, "well ma'am all the passengers are out of this train" a man who seemed to be working in the train station said ruefully, "are you telling me my grandchild is missing?" she asked holding the man's hand roughly, "I don't know Miss" he said terrified, "I'll deal with you" she heard granny say holding him by his hand, all eyes were on them. Finally reaching the place the argument was going on, she stood a bit a far of to admire her grandmother, she looked so much like mum she thought as she went to hug her, bending a little she hugged the old woman with tear filled eyes. She had missed her, the woman's beamed with joy, pleasure saturated those eyes, Emma thought as she looked into grandma's eyes. It's been ages since she touched her like this, been ages since they last saw physically though, because she had been having video calls with her once in a while. The woman had fed mostly on Emma and Mile's pictures. Twice she had come to Washington DC to see them but unfortunately they were both in school at that time, since then she hadn't bothered coming again as it was a long join she never usually delighted in.

She hugged Emma once more admiring the girl, she indeed looked prettier than photos had told her, taller and smarter of course, Mrs Potts, Emma's grandma thought. "C'mon girl" she said leading the girl to the car, it was an old model car that fitted her well, Emma thought, her small body fitting into the driver's seat perfectly, Emma entered admiring everything that belonged to Grandma. One thing she couldn't wait for was to get home, for grandma's house was always warm and cozy, well this knowledge was from when she had come here many years back so she sincerely hoped it would still be the same. 'Grandmothers never changed' Emma thought. "I've missed you so much" grandma said smiling, still focusing intently on where she was heading to. Grandma was just like dad, he could say alot of stuff to you but still remain focused in whatever he was doing, that was a characteristic she admired but she wondered how two different people could be so alike even when they weren't related.

Soon they arrived at a familiar house or so Emma thought, the house beside it had some people who sat outside talking and drinking as though it were day, she frowned, 'what would people be doing awake by half past eleven in the night's she thought, or well maybe it was because she was tired and all worn out otherwise she would have considered joining them. Grandma parked the car carefully, just then two young men who were sitting outside came towards them, opening the trunk of the car, they removed her luggage taking them inside grandma's house, grandma lived in a very big house, Emma wondered how only one person, a woman for that matter ran around such a big house all by herself. Mrs Potts husband had passed away many years ago and since then Mrs Potts had been leaving all by herself.
