A month has passed since he killed the inquisitor. He had collected the phase two armor from a very impressed and somewhat scared Vizago, along with his new blaster.
The stormtroopers were looking everywhere for Ghost but Colt Bridger was safe... Until they figured out that the two were the same person. he had to modify the helmet a little, add the HUD system on the side of the helmet, and add a re-breather to it but it worked out. The armor was light and he only wore the parts that didn't restrict his movements so that was a plus.
"...So this is why no one else had a lightsaber."
Colt mumbled as he held the red blade in his hand.
It was... Balance fluctuates frequently, making the blade unbalanced, and because he shut himself off from the force, if he tried to swing this blade, there was a good chance that he would lose his hand.
The original double-bladed hilt was dismantled, even though he almost puked when he saw the design of it, the energy ran through the entire hilt when turned on so the power of the blade was cut in half. Seriously, a Kyber crystal should be used for more than a power outlet to make it possible to spin a blade.
Some of the outside parts were re-purposed as casing for the saber. The hilt ended up fully black, however, that was covered by brown leather and it was curved slightly.
Pressing the button to turn the saber off, Colt sighed, if he wanted to use the lightsaber, he had to use the Force.
Sighing at that fact, he leaned on a ledge and banged his head on the wall behind him.
Well... Whatever he would make do.
Standing up straight again he moved to the crates where the Blasters were kept, it was time to see if he could actually do something with the spare crates, at least more than just selling them to Vizago.
Taking out three blasters at the same time, he placed them on the desk and got out some tools.
The first thing he removed was the power cell, the next thing was the plasma chamber on its back.
Now that this deadly...In his hands, a firearm was no longer as deadly, he could actually dismantle it.
The plasma chamber held five to three hundred shots, he had tested.
This thing was cheap, very cheap, but they were hard to get your hands on. They are made by the empire that tries to keep a tight lock on them... and fails miserably.
There is a reason why people prefer other blasters than this, these had a terrible range and no accuracy unless the target was at point blank.
Looking at the interior of the gun, he could only sigh, these parts would melt if he used a Kyber crystal. Looks like he would have to make custom parts, he would need to make the chamber from the same material as the lightsabers blade energy channel. He already had a power cell, vortex rings, insulator, and conductor since the double-bladed lightsaber needed two of everything.
He would need to make a compact chamber for the blaster, now the only thing left to decide was what kind of weapon should it be, a rifle. A sniper? A pistol?
After much deliberation, he decided that a compact but accurate weapon would be more beneficial since it would be easier to carry around instead of a bulky sniper.
Sighing, he walked over to the kyber crystal and the remains of the Inquisitor's lightsaber. Gathering them up and returning to the table, he was already coming up with the model. Colt needed something easy to hold, something that would fit in his hand and not slip out at the slightest of tugs, if any other force user tried to tug the weapon from his hand it would be a problem because this shit would be revolutionary. He was going to make the most accurate pistol in the history of the galaxy.
A blaster of his own making, maybe he could trademark it, claim all the rights.
Chuckling at the thought, he continued dismantling the other two blasters, if he could play a smith to melt these metals and reforge them in appropriate shapes for his new blaster's parts.
They would be good for casings.
By the time he came out of his musings, all three of the blasters were disassembled.
Picking up all the metal parts, he set them aside for later and looked at the wiring, comparing if anything was compatible with the lightsaber technology.
While in the middle of working, a sound of beeping caught his attention, coming from his transmitter.
Putting it on the table, he put on his helmet and answered the call.
[Ghost! Long time no see!]
He tried connecting two pieces of wiring but changed one of the parts for another.
"It's been three weeks, Vizago, What do you need?"
The man chuckled, his arms crossed and looking very amused.
[Well, there is this lovely group of people that requested to talk to you, and I thought you would get along nicely.]
He hummed slightly in acknowledgment, not giving a reply to the unasked question. Grabbing a tool on the side, he started taking apart the electronics that were responsible for the firing.
"Who are they?"
Taking a quick glance at the man, Colt could see him holding back laughter, much like people who were about to tell a joke but had to calm down first.
[There the "Ghost crew" A lovely bunch, if I do say so myself.]
Resisting the urge to end the transmission, he growled slightly, this guy was getting on his nerves, if he heard another joke about the stupid nickname he was given he might decapitate someone.
"Okay, what do they want?"
Colt was eager to end the conversation, not wanting to drag this out more than he had to.
In response, Vizago moved to the side, allowing a Twi'lek woman to appear on the hologram.
[Hello, Ghost, I've heard a lot about you.]
...She was just as clueless as him, he wanted to end the conversation and she wanted something from him, none of them knew how to proceed since they knew nothing about each other.
"You wanted to talk to me?"
She nodded once, looking like she was glad about the given chance.
[We got some information about the Wookiees enslaved by the Empire, so we could use an extra pair of hands.]
Wookiees, huh, weren't they important, somehow?
And besides, if it was a currier, he could get some valuable information from its main frame if he got the chance.
"What do I get out of this?"
The Twi'lek didn't seem disturbed by the question, in fact, she seemed to be expecting it, judging from the slight widening of her smile.
[Information about other Inquisitors.]
...There were more?
