Faster than the beast, the man crouched down as he moved forward, dodging the claws of the creature and sending his fist right through the monster's chest, the fist went through without any issue, it was heated up enough to melt right through it, leaving a hole in the beast.
Using the grasp he had on the unknown monster the man tossed it out of the building into the blood-filled streets, the creature got back up to its feet and felt around the hole that was punched through it's chest, it was slower than usual but the wound was regenerating.
As the red-robed man waked toward the creature, the area suddenly got hotter, he was far enough from anyone else as of now, he could go harder on the monster, still he was slightly surprised.
'Does this thing not have a heart? Or any organs for that matter? I felt nothing of the sort when striking it' he thought as the area him and the monster seemed to distort, the heat was getting higher and higher.
The blood on the ground hardened as the hole in the creature's chest completely closed.
"You can regenerate burned tissues?" spoke the man but got no answers, he thought that the monster might have some intelligence considering its actions but it seemed like he was faced with nothing more than a bloodthirsty beast.
Still, this monster shouldn't be a complete moron considering the level it should be.
'So why is it insisting on fighting?' thought the man has he caused an explosion of blue flames, burning of the monsters forearms completely and launched it right through a building, breaking through the wall battering its body, however, almost immediately it stood back up, its wounds and lost limbs growing back at a considerable speed.
'How does it regenerate so easily from burns?' thought the red-robed man as he saw that the monster wasn't looking the same as a few moments before, it skin had a tinge of red and seemed scaly.
'So that's how it is' he then thought has the atmosphere got even warmer, hot enough that the wood of some habitations took on fire and stones started to feel much less solid.
After a while of circling one another, the monster went in for an attack, it was faster than before but still to slow for the man, he bent his back backwards letting the monster leap right above him and struck it with both of his palms, causing a flash of white fire, smoke was made and after a bit, it cleared out, revealing that the monster was nowhere to be seen anymore.
The red-robed man didn't know if the monster had been burnt to a crisp or if he had been launched far enough to not be sensed anymore but what was certain was that he had won this fight.
He dusted his hands casually and walked back to building he had found the monster in.
'?' entering the building, the man was surprised the see that no one was there, there had been a girl there for sure when he first arrived.
"Miss? Everything is fine now, you can come out" he spoke loudly but he got no response, the girl had disappeared completely.
"..." the man stood in silence for a bit before exiting the building once more.
The streets were silent, everyone was either dead or had evacuated the city and it wasn't normal, the red-robed man wasn't mad that the city had been emptied of its residents, his displeasure toward the silence laid elsewhere.
Waiting in silence, the man saw his thought drifting in an unwanted place, surprising himself, why had he thought of this of all things? That person was long gone.

Emerging from a small pond, the monster emerged seemingly unharmed and looking like he had originally look, it was as if the earlier transformations had never happened.
The monster stood still, it had lost the trail it had been following, the trail toward the thing it had wanted, it stood in silence as the surrounding fauna stared at the strange creature that had crashed into the pond.
The monster's head split in two, letting out a terrifying howl that resonated throughout the whole area, monsters and animals alike fled in primal fear after hearing that scream, their instincts telling them that running was the only option for survival.
Quickly, the howling stopped and only left a deafening silence, the monster walked into the darkness of the forest and disappeared from sight, abandoning its previous objective in favor of doing what all predators did, hunt.

"Took you long enough, are you alone? Where are the others?" asked the red robed-man as someone in dark green clothes floated down from the sky.
"The others thought that your monster thingy wasn't interesting enough and instead went to a bar, you should have said that it had, you know, murdered the whole fucking city, why do you always omit the important details?" spoke the woman has she put her feet down on the dry blood that covered the ground.
"Because everyone is supposed to show up when one of us calls, that's the first or second rule of our little group, we are supposed to be serious, we are the Sun Bearers for crying out loud! I shouldn't have to run into Beelzebub to get my teammates to come over!" responded the man.
"Don't complain, I am here, are you not satisfied with having a beautiful girl like me come when you call?" responded the woman with a large grin on her face.
"No, I am not" flatly responded the man.
"That's why no one likes you Marhar" spoke the woman.
"Alright, what happened here exactly?" she then asked.
"Tall and thin monster, long claws, can shapeshift a bit in answer to damage I think, fast regeneration, can even regenerate burnt tissues without any problems, I would tilt toward the idea that it survived as I didn't receive any notifications even after all this time" Marhar listed things about the monsters, even thought it wasn't exactly an answer to her question.
"Also, it seemed very interested in a particular girl but she ran away while I was fighting it and is nowhere to be found now" he added afterwards.
"You want try and find the monster or the girl?" questionned the woman in green.
"Both would be nice" said the red-robed man.
"By the way, Hellianix, does being here remind you of The Red-Hood?" he suddenly asked causing the grey-haired woman to look at him weirdly.
"Why would this remind you of that psycho? We've seen scenes like that many times" she responded.
"I don't know, just a feeling I have" spoke Marhar, looking pensive about it.
