"It's here, I can feel it!" suddenly exclaimed Alaham, as he sniffed the air, looking completely deranged, a fitting look for him.
"I don't sense anything" retorted Vorl.
"Neither" simply responded Misot as she pulled out some sort of monocle out of one of her pockets.
"What is that for?" questionned the masked venator.
"It enhances one of my skills, it will get us some fine information, I can guarrantee" she responded as she rubbed the monocle clean with one of her sleeves.
"Listen kids, I can feel a most shit-inducing presence, that is not from any monster I know of, it's both vile and pure, prepare to fight and possibly die" spoke the mad old venator as he gripped his weapon, a warhammer with unknown capacities, it clearly had been enhanced in some way.
"Do as he says, his ability lets sense the presence of things very easily but lets the one who is targeted by it, also feel his own presence" explained Misot, pulling out a small construct that unfolded into a crossbow.
"Aren't we venators supposed to deal with monsters in smart ways? I feel like we aren't from the same group" complained the masked venator as he made his weapon extend into a halberd.
All of the other venators also did the same as the three and prepared for combat, for what seemed to be an extended period of time, silence reigned supreme, even the natural sounds of nature were nowhere to be heard, the only one who even had a speck of an idea where the danger was, stayed silent, gripping his hammer in barely concealed excitement for what was to come.
'Is it even going to show up? Why would it engage with so many people at once for no reason?' wondered the masked venator.
The reign of silence of overthrown by the sound of something falling and that of splashes, a venator in the back collapsed, his head of his shoulders.
The monster had swooped in fast enough to slay one of them and disappear back into the vegetation but someone hadn't missed this actions at all, shooting her crossbow throught the vegetation, Misot forced the monster to dodge, revealing its position.
Alaham didn't miss the opportunity and smash his hammer into the ground, the whole weapon seemed to move like a complex mechanical construct, as the ground between him and the monster blew up.
The monster jumped out of the forest and landed right in front of all the venators, a greyish and thin monster stood in the middle of the road, its face opened up with many mouths and nostrils, each mouth possessing multiple rows of jagged teeth and the nostrils contracting without stop as they picked up on the smell of each of them.
The monster, having lost the advantage of surprise almost immediately, resorted to another classic maneuver and howled at the creatures before itself, causing a air current to pass through their group.
The monster's behavior made Vorl uncomfortable, it clearly wasn't something a monster of its caliber would do without any reason.
The monster stabbed its right claws into the ground and dragged them through it as it advanced toward the first venator in its way, Alaham.
The old venator's warhammer exuded a blue light from within as he prepared to meet the creature head-on, the monster removed its claws from the ground with great force causing dirt, dust and anything else with it to be launched before itself.
The old venator ignored the blinding maneuver and swung his hammer regardless of it, contrary to Alaham's expectations, the monster did not dodge or was thrown away, it grabbed its hammer with one of its hands by the very head of it, stopping it right in its track.
Twisting the handle slightly, the hammer head released a condensed shockwave of blue energy, blowing the monster's hand off, causing it to jump back as the venators with ranged weaponry shot at it.
It's destroyed hand quickly grew back and the monster chose to ignore the old man and jumped into the air, landing on top of the large cage, as it stopped for a few moments to evaluate something, Misot took this occasion to make use of her skill using the monocle.
Skill that can grant information are rare, as the information granted comes from the system itself and the system knows all, on top of never giving false information, if the system does not want someone to learn something, it will simply say so.
In front of the female venator, a system window appeared, on it, only the creature's name, type and a bit of information appeared, coming with this information was a nasty headache.
*Specie: Venerer*

Before she could take in the information, she had to focus on not losing consciousness, she felt as though she had looked at something she shouldn't have, some of the words were corrupted as if she didn't have the required strength to view it and the few things she had managed to see properly spelled a most disastrous picture.
The monster and the venators kept on fighting for a while, even though the venators had a clear advantage, the creature seemingly endless stamina and regeneration capabilities allowed it to keep in fighting, each time it was struck, it seemed to grow more resistant and every time it struck, the next one would seem to be stronger.
"You doing okay Misot?" asked the old venator as he retreated back for a bit.
"No, this thing is some sort of divine beast Alaham and during my analysis, I saw that it had no organs at all! No brain, no heart or anything else!" she spoke out.
The monster or rather, venerer eviscerated a venator, leaving only three of them alive, Alaham, Misot and Vorl.
"Alright fucker, let me present to you a real monster!" spoke Alaham with a clear smile on his face, he quickly activated something with the cage and pulled his two colleagues back.
The cage opened, showing how complex it was, soon, the cage was fully opened, not much could be discerned in the darkness of it, only two red dots could be made out.
What would surprised anyone unaware of this monster's appearance, was that the true size of the cage it was locked in, was much smaller than one would expect, even a child wouldn't fit easily inside of that.
Without a sound, the monster stepped out and looked at the venerer, the venerer took in the smell of the monster and took a few step back, not bothering to try and intimidate it, as it would clearly bear no fruits.
To anyone who wasn't a venator in on the monster in question, the scene would look absolutely and utterly ridiculous but the three humans present knew better than to judge this thing by its cover.
