Ashley's eyes widened with the sudden gesture and her brain stopped working for a whole minute so did her heart too. She was too shocked to do anything, not even push him away.
She felt his lips move over hers and something made a funny movement in her tummy. Damon's grip on her hand was still tight and she felt his other hand on her waist. Ashley remained stunned for the few minutes they stayed in that position and very soon she felt Damon's lip slowly leave hers.
Her eyes were still open and she watched him move back while the hand on her waist fell but the one holding her hand stayed like that.
Ashley saw something dangerous flicker through his eyes as he watched her face and it was after he smiled that her heart remembered to beat but it didn't just beat, it raced in her chest. She felt her cheeks burn and she couldn't stand looking at him anymore.
